My wife and I have been making our way to amusement and theme parks all around the country and this has been on our list for some time now. We didn’t have high expectations because there are very few amusement parks in the region, but this one actually left my wife in tears, which is crazy for an amusement park. There are three good coasters here and the rest are dated carnival/fair rides, so they were so-so. The pleasant surprise was the pioneer section in the back of the park with a wonderful collection of historic items spanning just about everything to do with life in the west over the last 150 years. It was pretty awesome. We ended up taking the train ride and that was a huge mistake. We didn’t know this park had animals and it was beyond depressing. I thought we moved beyond this level of poor animal treatment, but here we are. What benefit does this serve the park? Be like all the other parks and just have a scenic train ride and not this depressing mess.

I rememebr going to lagoon as a kid and it's just as fun as an adult. Lagoon is great due to them allowing food into the park and providing so much seating and places to eat and just chill out. The pavilions in the back are awesome. If you're tired of riding rides, you can walk to the back of the park and take a nap or play some cards, you can do whatever. It's a win win for everyone. I just barely went on a Tuesday and there were no lines at all. I got there right before 11 and by 4:30 I had been in all the rides I wanted to go on. We didn't have lunch until afterward. All in all, it'll take you about 6 hours if you wanted to ride every ride possible and there weren't any lines. My only complaint of the day, cliffhanger was closed. I haven't been on cliffhanger for years because every time I come to Lagoon, it's closed for some reason

Very very fun! Love the rides, the lines weren't too long. They moved at a very efficient pace. Food was pretty good, a little pricey but that's common everywhere nowadays. All in all, had q really fun day here

A bit pricey for a 1-day ticket. $97. PP, more so when you arrive to find a sign saying water park will be closed due to capacity. That being said, we were fortunate in that we were able to get into all areas of the park. It’s a great park and I would definitely recommend visiting. The ride lines move quickly (with exception of in demand rides, which you’ll find at any park). It was well maintained. There only thing requiring patience are the food lines.

I love this amusement park. There is something for everyone. It gets better every year. It has been open since 1886! That’s 10 years before Utah was even a state! I’ve been enjoying this park since about 1984 as a very young child and have always had a great time. I’ve gone through different friendships throughout those years but cherish all the memories I’ve had with my friends that have come and gone in that time. The prices at the park have really gone up, which is really the only bad thing I could say about the park. I don’t think they need to add a new ride every single year. People will keep coming back regardless. I do recommend this place, but no one really needs my recommendation. People from surrounding states even come here because there are no other amusement parks nearby for hundreds of miles.

Oof Lagoon - it has my begrudging respect, but it's really way too expensive for what it is. If at all possible, try to buy it as part of a bundle, or what it's really geared for - a season pass for local families. I'd be much more charmed by it if it weren't so expensive! As it is, I really didn't think it was worth it until I rode Cannibal at the end of the day, and that's a properly good ride. I also really like Colossus, and love that they have two proper haunted houses. They also have dedicated single rider lines for Wicked and Cannibal, which work really well! Make sure you ask if it's chained off. There are two shows - a magician and an Alice in Wonderland pop music show, and both were better than they had any right to be! And the whole pioneer village area is very unique and quiet. But on the whole - the park is geared towards families, not the biggest thrills. It's trying to be a big park, but acting like a small one - with smeary hand stamps, tickets per ride, short queue lines - it just can't handle big crowds. And on a Thursday, I barely had to wait for anything, not even Cannibal.

I enjoyed my stay! Went at opening and rode all the coasters multiple times within 2 hours. Everything was a walk on. Around noon the volume of people really started to pick up for the fright fest stuff. Park looked clean, sanitizer stocked throughout, free lockers to store your stuff, and the atmosphere was nice. Had an old classic touch to it.

It was very fun. Lines were short but took longer due to most rides (particularly roller coasters) having only one car going. We had done the South end's coasters first, leading up in intensity to eventually do Cannibal and the more intense rides at the North end of the park. There were visual staffing shortages and a lot of teenage employees. Food prices were okay for an amusement park, ranging from 5 to about 15 dollars. It does become very crowded in the Midway area with people stopping to stand in the middle of the walkway and you were always bumping into other people. Rides were great and entertaining with different levels of thrill ranging from kid rides to very intense rides. Since this is more of a family park, avoiding Kiddieland is very good, avoiding longer lines and a lot of little children. Overall a very great experience, and since I have a season passport I get to go almost every weekend. Edit 6/17/22: Lines were amazingly short on all coasters but some other rides had longer lines like the Log Flume and Rattlesnake Rapids.

A non social distancing chin mask wearing covid death trap. Ridiculously crowded. Absolutely.not.worth.it.....

This place was SO crowded. Some staff not wearing masks, no social distancing, lines were like 45 minutes long. I’d understand these kinds of crowds and wait times if it wasn’t Covid, but come on, this place is a super spreader. There’s no way they’re operating under capacity

We came to Lagoon to attend a company party. It was so amazing. They have rides that accommodate everyone! We had various ages from 0-80 I would say. They all had such a blast. There are some water rides for when you get hot, they have a sky lift type ride that will take you from one side of the park to the other. They have rides for the little ones that will keep them going for hours! The staff is friendly and helpful. The food that was served was good and the rides were well maintained and clean. They have it where those with disabilities can get on rides first, but the lines weren't too long which was nice. My only complaint is the parking is expensive, and they don't have enough attendants at closing to direct traffic so everyone can get out safely. We didn't really buy snacks or gifts so I couldn't tell you how much things cost, but I'm sure they are as expected. Will definitely come again. It is worth the trip for family fun.

I went here for my high school senior trip recently. It's nice, but I didn't have any friends there so I ended up getting board, leaving, getting a $12 3/10 burrito from a nearby restaurant, crying in a park about being a loser with no friends, and later coming back at 4 PM for the bus. The peacocks in Pioneer Village were nice though. I fed one cheez-its and it really liked them for some reason. 3/5

first time being here after leaving across the highway for four years. the new primordial ride is a unique and thrilling ride I've never been on. It's a combo of a roller coaster, interactive, and unpredictable ride. It's a must but damn, we were almost in line for two hours! this was on a Saturday... It's fun, it's cool, and it's crowded. Be prepared, come early, & a pro tip: bring something to do while you wait in line like trivia cards or the flip up phone game.

Best experience I've ever had at an amusement park and I lived 1 mile from Six Flags Over Texas for 20 years. The children's portion of the park is unbelievably wonderful!! My only negative is the wild animals and their habitats, its just sad...I don't see the value in that attraction and wish it was reevaluated. Other than that, beyond fantastic 👏🏼!

I had a lot of fun here! I arrived around 1 and stayed until 9 and still rode most of the coasters. The park wasn't too crowded until the evening time. The rides were thrilling and exciting. Word of warning: this is an amusement park, not a theme park. The theming is not the best here, because this park is meant for exciting thrill rides. Prices were okay, but still a bit on the expensive side. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and would come here again for just a select few rides. Especially to ride Cannibal a couple more times! If you're a thrill-seaker, this is a must-ride! The initial 105 degree drop produces an unreal feeling I had never felt up to the point of this ride.

Great park, except during any sort of public health crisis. The place is run by teenagers, so don't expect anyone to be enforcing the mask mandate or social distancing. They try at the haunted attractions, but they're overwhelmed. Long waits for rides since they don't pack groups together anymore, but they also don't enforce the social distancing of the lines. I can't blame the employees, they probably make minimum wage and don't have the staff support to kick out non-compliant guests. No way the management is limiting capacity anymore like they claimed in July, as it was just as busy as any other year. Thought I could trust them to enforce their own rules, but now I know.

I absolutely love coming here with my husband. We don't have any kids, but we still have fun. Just went to frightmares and paid extra to see the show Seance, and that was so crazy and cool! We also got to ride the new ride primordial. We waited in line for 2 hours. It was worth the wait! Never experienced anything like it and absolutely had a blast. We bought some items in their gift shop.

It's allot of fun especially during freightmares! I get a season pass almost every year, it may not be as big as some of the other amusement parks around the U S. But you will have just as much fun!

Seriously love this place!! It's so fun and has some great rides! Some of my fav rides are cannibal, wicked, colossus, and jet star. I love so much more but that's all I could remember. Even though it's super fun, it was expensive 😳! Cost $400 something for 4 people! None the less I still love this park 10/10 would recommend!!

We always have a good time at Lagoon. They have a good variety of rides. The lines were not too long. I like that they have lots of trees to help with the heat. The food is expensive, but the good thing is that they allow you to bring food from outside. Overall it was a good time.

Lagoon is okay, I suppose... I think the place is way too crowded, especially for what you pay. Just about every ride is over an hour wait time, and I'm being generous with that estimate, but Lagoon doesn't really have any real competition so they can charge what they want. I'd reccomend trying out Cherry Hill way less of a zoo.

Had a blast! The lines were not to long, I think the longest I waited was about 30 mins which isn't bad honestly. The park was clean, the food was good. The beaver tails were delicious. Cannibal, Wicked, and Colossus were my favorite rides to go on.

Frightmares is the best time to go to Lagoon. We had a blast in the haunted houses we went through (5 out of 8) and absolutely loved the SEANCE and Lore live performances. SEANCE was worth the extra money - such a great experience - and Larson, Ryan, and Curtis went out of their way to accommodate the wheelchair user in our group. I noticed many people among the staff paying special attention and care to our ADA needs throughout the park, and I was very impressed and thankful. It's been a few years since I've been to Lagoon, and it remains my favorite amusement park. I can't wait to come back next year!

Lagoon is a fun place. Lots of rides. It was a hot day but with the water spraying area at the front of the park we cooled right off. They have huge amounts of full grown, beautiful trees to give shade. We went during the week so lines were small. The staff are great! My only concern is the pricing, it is steep. They have added really neat areas and have plans for more that look amazing!!! Hopefully they can figure out some better pricing for everyone. Definitely worth supporting our local theme park! Still a less than going to Disney, but also a smaller scale. Great pools, fun pioneer village, awesome water rides, and of course amazing roller coasters. If you haven't been here try to make it. If it's been years you will be delighted by the new arrivals.

In all honesty, this is the only amusement park I've been to, but it's pretty good in my opinion. They have worked pretty hard at adding new and better rides all the time. They also have a museum street inside the park from early Utah history. It's set up like a pioneer town main street where you can go into the different stores and buildings and see what they would have looked like. They also have a zoo, but you can only see it from a train ride.

Wait a minute! We’re in Utah‽ this place is great. Small town feel with big town fun! If you live or have visited Utah, you’ll know this is a family favorite of almost everyone. With Covid, we had to make reservations, but no biggie and the park was full but not overcrowded. Plenty of smaller rides and plenty of larger rides for extra excitement. Favorites are Cannibal, Wicked, and many others. This park had been putting plenty of money into new rides over the last few years. A must when you’re in town!

I really enjoyed it, and despite the prices, the food isn't bad. Good selection of coasters and carnival games and stuff like that. Right now though the handling of the pandemic warrants a few knocks. Capacity is way too high. It got incredibly crowded and they weren't enforcing masks strongly enough.

Almost every ride had 45-60 minute wait times. We ended up going on 5-6 rides the entire time. I spent about $500 to take my family there. I wish we would have done something different.

Would have been 4 stars but there were a few factors. Minimum of 5 rides broke down/stalled while we were in line for them. Must have been our lot that day or something, but we would wait for 15-20 minutes to see if they would fix it but end up leaving. These rides are getting so old. Other than that, other rides were great. I'd highly suggest to bring a cooler and sandwiches as it's going to taste WAY better than anything that is offered there. I had minimal time to plan so we decided to just eat there. BIG mistake. Spent $10 for each order and I felt like I was back in high school with the quality of the pizza, hamburger and chicken. Lunch and dinner spent about $60 for 2 adults and children. We spent about $300+ for the 3 of us. If you go twice or more, I'd suggest their season pass. I think their 1 time ticket is a bit more expensive than I think it's worth. But it I'd what it is. 🤷

This is such an amazing place for date night! Our dinner was incredible! We had lobster Mac and cheese, steak and Samon, and brownie trifle with drinks for under $50! They ask you not tip even though the service is awesome! I was unaware that they have specials Wednesday thru Saturday. I would definitely recommend coming here! The food was really good and worth more than $50!

Great park, lots of fun rides. The kids area is almost entirely shaded. You are allowed to bring your own food and drinks in which is a rarity these days. We drive in from out of town multiple times a year to enjoy some family fun! Fairly short waits for most rides.

We bought the pass this year, which is really the only way I would do it. Lagoon is an okay amusement park. It has some fun rides, but they are all super short and the lines are long. I enjoy having the pass because we can get there when they open, ride on the fun rides, and leave before it gets crowded. In the summer we will visit the water park, lagoon a beach when it starts getting crowded and hot. Overall, It really isn't worth going if it's crowded. The food is of coarse over priced and not great, but I think everyone expects that. You are allowed to being your own coolers with food. Get there early so you can find a place for your cooler. We did go to the German restaurant there last time and it did have good food, but it was extremely over priced, it costs $10 for kids mac n cheese and that is all it was, only Mac n cheese. By far the worst part of lagoon is their treatment of animals. They have wild animals and they are not well taken care of. They need to get rid of their zoo.

I've been to many different theme parks around the country. Lagoon stands out to me because of their operations. They are very quick at keeping lines moving. I was also impressed by the friendliness of the staff. My main complaint is the queue lines. There is hardly any queue space, and the lines constantly spill out onto the midway. They have a world class coaster with Cannibal and many other amazing attractions. It is a very family-friendly park. I was impressed with my visits this summer, and I can't wait to return.

The best roller coaster I have ever been on, Cannibal!!! Its amazing, I rode it 4 times!! The whole park is really cool. I spent time in the water park, rode the water slides multiple times. The thing that I didn't like about that was they made me take off my water shoes, yes water shoes, every time I went on the water slides. I'm not sure why, it was annoying. They have different soda flavor combinations that they mix with cream that are pretty tasty. I watched a show, I don't remember the name, excellent performance!! I visited pioneer village and read about the history of Utah. Saw that beautiful peacock!! I spent 9 hours in the park. I was there for a company event. I did and saw a lot, there's some rides I didn't get to, fantastic place, something for everyone to do!! Would definitely love to come back!!Thank you

We had the best time here. The rides are so much fun and the lines were not to bad. It is pricey but that is to be expected. Staff was nice and everyone was just in a great mood. You could probably do the whole park in half-full day. We will be buying season passes next year.

I’ve been coming here with my family since i was 5 years old. We’ve built so many memories here and we always love coming back! we come here almost every year and our favorite ride is definitely cannibal! the thrill is great!! can’t wait for their 2024 new ride! their food options aren’t bad either. more like fast food, but decent. we get the fries and popcorn chicken with a drink on the side. more recently, i came here for a girls trip and it was so fun! we didn’t doubt coming here for a second. we knew each of us would enjoy it! we stayed from opening until closing as well!

Lagoon is an amazing and wonderful family-owned amusement park with some thrilling and unique roller coasters. Out of these, the most noteworthy coasters are Cannibal, Wicked, and the classic Roller Coaster. Cannibal starts out with an elevator lift up to the top of its hill. This is followed by a beyond-vertical drop and a series of loops and inversions. Then, you go into a series of brakes before you begin the Lagoon roll over a pond. And after this roll, you proceed to go down, accelerating while going in circles around this pond, before you go through a cave underneath the pond and get mildly misted before going into the station. This coaster was designed in-house, and is unlike anything else in the United States. Wicked starts with a launch over a tall hill, but unlike most launch coasters, it does not end there. Instead, this is followed by a full course of hills, inversions, and turns. This makes for a very fun ride. Roller Coaster is a classic wooden coaster that happily remains relatively smooth, thrilling, and full of airtime despite its age. Lagoon also has an excellent restaurant in Biergarten. I had their fish and chips. The fish was nicely breaded and served with good sauces, and the portions of fries were generous. And last, but not least, Lagoon has an excellent park atmosphere full of shade trees, fountains, and a large kids area full of mild rides and kids and family coasters for the smaller kids, a water park, two dark rides, and a hidden rapids ride behind the Pioneer Village so everyone can have fun here. In short, Lagoon is an amazing and wonderful park with unique coasters and I strongly recommend it.

Other then the cost for season passes this place is actually pretty fun, I had some friends get me a pass so I can go with my daughter. At least right now it’s not super packed so your not waiting awful times to get on rides unless it’s cannibal or wicked those two are the ones you’ll be waiting for awhile to ride. I haven’t been to an amusement park in a long time and I’m getting old and my body feels older so walking the park isn’t the funnest for me. It’s nice when my daughter has other friends there and they can go off and wait in line for rides while I sit and relax. It was pretty cold today but me and my daughter had so much fun. Funnel cakes are one of the best things at least that I love anyways, give them a try if you’ve never had them before!

We are glad that Lagoon caters to all ages and bravery levels. The rising prices of a day pass are creating a have/have not, environment, and understanding that they need to run a business. Some employees are great, others just putting in their time. About 6 hours before Littles have had enough (ages 3-10)

Everything we ate was fantastic! Made me think of when I went to Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany back in my military days. Free parking in off season, staff was nice. It’s a little pricy and no refills on drinks but food again was very good. Oh and no military discounts. ☹️

Lagoon is always fun for the family. Good assortment of rides. The park is fairly clean and well maintained. It does help if you have someone to watch the younger kids who don't like to go on the thrill rides. Def recommend season passes, since attending twice pretty much pays for them. We like to make a week of it. It's a lot of Lagoon, but we can come back whenever we want, and we can come back for Frightmares in October!

Expensive but plan to spend the entire day here. Tons of ride options and even have a little kid area. Pioneer Village has the popular Rattlesnake Rapids ride (you will get wet!) as well as old buildings to walk around with informational plaques about the history. Ice cream here is fantastic. Lots of eateries everywhere and carnival games to play.

Great size park for all ages. Plenty of tree coverage for shade on hot days. Great food and drink options, plus a water park to cool off. We love visiting this park, more then dealing with the much larger and more challenging Disney resorts in CA and Orlando. Rides are fun, and there’s games throughout the park too.

On the day that I went with my kids. Only 3 or 4 of the kids rides were going when we got to them, ten minutes after the park opened. It wasn't until 40 minutes later that they had most of them going, but not all. You'd think since they open at 10, that they'd do the safety checks and practice runs before 10. That's the reason I give them 4 stars. Would've been 5 if they'd had most of the rides ready to go when they open. Other than that annoyance, it was a lot of fun and it is less crowded in the morning. Also, if you're going to go a 3 or more times in a year. It's cheaper to get a season pass. Like most places.

Lagoon Amusement Park has held its place as an enduring American classic since the late 1800s. The park triumphantly endured a destructive fire in the 1950s and underwent a remarkable metamorphosis, emerging as an expansive attraction that stands on par with esteemed counterparts like Seven Peaks and other renowned amusement parks. With a plethora of rides that can easily fill your entire day with excitement, and come Fall, they host Frightmares, a captivating Halloween-themed spectacle. Lagoon undeniably claims the title of the most enjoyable amusement park for a considerable stretch of miles.

Lagoon is such a fun place to go and ride rides for all ages! We went on a day that wasn’t really busy, but we waited 1 hour and 45 minutes to ride their new ride they have. The price per ticket was a little bit expensive for what we got out of it.

We had a great time. They worked hard to enforce the mask rules but did not wipe down rides like I hoped they would. Weather was great and Halloween themes were fun. Will definitely go again.

I typically only go to Lagoon during Frightmares, with a limited day, I can barely fit in all the "must-ride" rides. Lagoon just seems to get more and more crowded every year with not enough expansion and new rides to keep up.

Bring your own food and drinks some of the food stands are good but the chain restaurants on site are pretty gross and not worth the price.

Amazing Park, worthwhile for younger school-age kids too. People were respectful of wearing masks as required. Fun for the family to do the dress up in Western for pictures, although we had to schedule an appointment and it certainly not cheap. Family also loved seeing the animals when we went on the train ride.

Pricey at the gate if you don't have a pass. But well worth it considering how many toys and swag you can win. We had to unload stuff at the car just so we could walk. The gift shop toys are cheap as well.

I love going here. Rides are fun and I love the games as well. The water park is my favorite. It is a bit pricy but it's worth it. Though, I wish they got rid of their zoo or at least treated their animals better since it seems inhumane the way they treat them.

Awesome visit! I was a bit hesitant about visiting during the pandemic, but strict rules are in place for safety and most importantly they are actually enforced! Social distancing in line and masks are required.

While there are still rides from when I was a kid. There are also lots of newer rides. They keep trying new things as well. Bathrooms are new since I was last here several years ago. I have a good time even though there are lines. It was nice we were able to get a bracelet to help with waiting in lines for my autistic son. It helped not waiting in big crowds to get on. Of course we still had waits, but being able to have my boys roam while waiting, helped. Each ride operator reacted differently to the bracelet, but overall it helped.

Great amusement park. High quality rides, a carnival main street and haunted houses in the fall. We really enjoyed it!

No crowds! Kids and grandkids loved it. Cannibal ride was awesome. Make sure you look upwards when the cannibal elevator is taking you up.

Park has enough to do to spend the whole day there. Great for being so close to where we live.

I've been here on multiple occasions. Has a great variety of rides, churros rule, and the ferris wheel is a great date ride.

It was a busy rainy day at lagoon. The lines for the most part moved fast. The customer service was on point. The workers were good to me and great with my kids. We also had some food. The food was not amazing but it was good enough. There was enough kid friendly Frightmare stuff for the kids. We also enjoyed some Zeppe's. Another year and another day at Lagoon. We have season passes and this was our first day here this year. It was a nice day to go. Not too many people. Lines moved fast and employees were kind.

Epic. Perfect weather. Low crowds. Minimal wait times for rides. Arby's Coke was terrible and the oreo cheesecake scone didn't have any cheesecake flavor. Other than that, it was awesome! Except they closed the rides 15 minutes before actual close time. Not cool.

Really fun! Def. wish we had a full day to experience this place. It's a better amusement park for kids then Disney in terms of what they can actually ride.

We love going to Lagoon each year and always get a season pass. We enjoy that they continue to bring new and innovative rides to the park. We had the opportunity to ride the new Primordial ride yesterday and it’s a fun experience. Something very unique and not found anywhere else. We are excited to ride it again and again.

👍👍 I spend about 3 weeks straight camping in Pioneer Village each summer. I have a nice hiding spot where they haven't found me yet near where the peacocks roost. In the middle of the night I go and sleep in the Hearse buggy. It's creepy but I love it.
