There's a little church in front of the ruined cathedral church. Free entry to both. Nearby also has a Faroese house you can visit for a fee. The ruins are the walls of the building with an extra room/broken staircase. It's beautiful seeing the mountains in the windows of the cathedral.

Perfect viewing spot not too far from the capital city. Nice view of the surrounding landscape and one of the oldest churches in the islands.

The most beautiful village in Faroe with one of the most older building in the islands. Also the old cathedral show you how was the town some time ago. Just to go a couple of hours and be quiet there. Also, there a hiking to the cape with nice views

The family who owns the building was so kind in letting us visit indoors to see relics and artefacts. The farmer’s English was superb and he explained helpfully about all the sheep-farming practices on the islands. My visit was as part of a cruise tour group so I’m unsure if this type of visit is always possible.

Lovely place! Those houses with roof grass - a beautiful place full of history. I recommend taking tea, something sweet and going there for a picnic or a trip

The village of Kirkjubøur on the island of Streymoy in the Faroe Islands is not to miss, just 15 min drive from Tórshavn. The ruins are the largest medieval buildings in the Faroe Islands.

The place has a interesting energy. It's very small but worth a visit due to the nice views and beautiful houses. The church is still under renovation, but it represents one of the important historical landmarks in Faroe Islands.

An interesting place and a beautiful village with black wooden houses you fan visit on your way from the ferry to Tórshaven. Don't miss out a local wooden church.

Really cool ruin of an old cathedral. The work that they are doing to preserve it is very interesting and they go into a little on a sign nearby. The parking for it is a little away near the visitor center and you have to walk through the village a little to get to it.

Worth the hike to see this old town, there aren't any restaurants or anything here so don't forget to take food with you if you plan to do the hike.
