👍👍 Free, about 15 minute drive from the airport, has a beautiful waterfall, a cafe that closes at 4pm, and is a nice, quaint place to check out.
There's a good trail that goes from the falls to behind the village and into the village. Worth checking out if you have the time.

👍 A nice restaurant with hospitable staff, the food was good, with local produce.
we have also stayed in the upstairs apartment for a night, the apartment was good with 2 bedrooms and a nice kitchen.
there was plenty of parking nearby.

👍👍 gásadalsgarður is opened in spring 2017. this cosy café (and guesthouse) offers a small but nice menu. we ordered the platter which consisted of everything: aged lamb, two types of preserved pork ham, shrimp salad, smoked salmon and bread slices. we also ordered coffee.
