I
know,
I
know.
There's
so
much
natural
beauty
in
the
Faroe
Islands,
why
would
you
spend
your
precious
time
indoors?
Well,
I'll
tell
you
why!
The
National
Art
Gallery
provides
you
with
such
a
profound
look
into
the
hearts
and
minds
of
these
wonderful
people,
with
art
ranging
from
dark
and
brooding
portraits
or
landscapes
to
joyful,
tiny
wooden
houses
bursting
with
colour.
Therein
lies
the
beauty
of
the
art
and
these
islands.
The
constant
destruction
and
hardship
of
the
oceans
and
the
dramatic
cliffs
contrasting
heavily
with
the
immensely
joyous
and
welcoming
feeling
of
the
towns
and
their
inhabitants.
And
nowhere
can
you
find
this
juxtaposition
so
clearly
laid
out
before
you
as
in
the
place.
It's
not
big
(nothing
on
the
Faroe
Islands
is)
but
if
you
take
your
time
to
really
get
absorbed
in
some
of
the
works
you
can
spend
a
few
hours
here.
There's
also
a
temporary
exhibition
going
on
at
the
moment
featuring
the
Visual
Artist
collective
their
works
and
it
stands
at
the
same
high
level
as
the
permanent
exhibition.
The
gallery
itself
is
located
in
a
lovely
park,
so
do
take
some
time
to
walk
around
as
well
before
or
after
you
visit.
Oh,
and
the
café
had
a
lovely
cappucino
and
cinnamon
roll!
👌😁
