Was really looking forward to dining at this restaurant, but as much as I tried to like it, the food was really bad and not worth the money. We ordered one 5-plate and one 7-plate tapas, but the first 3 plates were really nothing special - cold shrimp in mayo, smoked salmon with kale, cured beef with vege… the fried cod we had later on was the weirdest dish of all, with thick, oily batter around slimy fish. The batter was so much it made the entire dish quite difficult to eat without feeling sick, and on top of that, some parts were squishy and just inedible. The dessert at the end was rock hard we had to pick it up with our hands to bite directly. I don’t know if this is local food style but it was all in all a weird restaurant.

An absolutely delicious traditional Faroese Sunday meal of lamb, potatoes, green peas, gravy and fermented cabbage, worth every penny. The wonderful meal was accompanied by attentive and polite service. This is a definite must if you are in Torshavn

Best place to eat in town! Can’t recommend enough. We went back two nights in a row because it was so good. Sunday roast is also a must if you’re around Thanks for having us!

Beautiful place, lovely staff. The food is… good but not memorable. Why so much aioli/mayonnaise/sauce on the side? Why not let the quality of the food speak for itself? Why ovevercook the beef to the point it’s dry? Why is the cevice watery? The cod cheeks are very tender, why so much batter around them? They’d be delightful without it. I have so many question marks for the tasting menu. I can see the effort but I remain unconvinced: this is overpriced for the quality. Thumbs up, however for the panacotta - exceptional.

As it was Sunday they only had the local lamb Sunday roast. Not a big fun of lamb meat but this one was delicious. Very tender and tasty and nice flavour. It came with roasted baby potatoes peas gravy and rhubarb jam. Service was very efficient and all waitresses very polite caring and with a smile. Nice setting like an old port restaurant. Loo review 9.5/10

What a beautiful place. The atmosphere is very welcoming and cozy, the food delicious. You should get a reservation beforehand to be sure to catch a table. I would like to recommend the menu with 5 or 7 different tapas.

Popped in for the Sunday Lamb menu, which was fantastic. The staff were really friendly and it felt quite atmospheric with the rain pouring down outside. Also try the local Katrina beer!

Nice restaurant. We had dinner here one day during our travel to FI. It was packed, so I recommend making a reservation ahead of time on weekends. Food was a fusion of typical and creative “tapas” style. Portions are small but also good for sharing and trying a bit of everything. We tried the fermented fish croquettes. It was quite an experience. It is not as strong as fermented fish tastes like, but it was a interesting and different taste. Service was polite, and atmosphere chill.

We had an absolutely inspiring evening, what a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. We were sitting on 2nd floor with roof top view on the old town. The service was extremely friendly and competent. But most important the food was really extraordinary. A very creative and tasty combination of mostly local products, nice to look at and even better to eat. The only thing we would have loved is more quantity of the main course seen the premium price we payed.

Super delicious food and really nice service. The wooden house (200-300 years old or so) is kept in a very authentic way and in the restrooms you can hear stories about the old house, very entertaining if you need to spend a few minutes there.

Nice hearty food in good quantity. We ordered the menus for adults and the two platters for our children. I especially enjoyed the croquettes. Recommend you order wine yourself from the wine list as pairing was nothing special and wines served two at the time. We were seated at the top floor which could explain the inattentive staff. We had to remind them several times to get us the drinks we had ordered.

Amazing brunch spot with a wonderful atmosphere! Loads of gluten free options. Tapas brunch was one of our favourite meals in the country. You can select 5 or 7 items, and they are very accommodating if you need to mase a substitution or an addition. Make sure to take a stroll through the whole building to the top floors to check out the decor in the traditional house style! And don’t miss the hot smoked salmon with cottage cheese, it’s delicious!

Our service was great and both girls very attentive. We got our food quickly. Some of the comments mentioned before: yes, the dishes are simple but tasted really good. Yes, the concept was sharing when you chose the same dishes (for example as couple). The food was plenty, except of the dessert which could have been more. Sure, the prices are high but it's an island in the middle of the ocean. So we didn't expect cheap prices either. Menu options is limited and basically no vegetarian possibilities.

We had the 5 course dinner and overall it was really tasty and we could finish everything. But for some reason they gave us the first and second meal at the same time. So when you're done with the first, the second one was already getting colder which was a bit annoying. Same with the third and fourth meal. It was also too dark inside so it was difficult to see what you were eating.

Had an amazing brunch here! Love the tapas style, and my family tried basically everything on the menu and loved it all. The restaurant itself is adorable, and very cozy on a rainy day. My favourite plates were probably the chia pudding, beans, and fried egg with shishito peppers. Highly recommend!

Come for the Sunday Lamb roast lunch. Really good and quite affordable, plus friendly service.

Wonderful cozy local restaurant. They were happy to seat us earlier than our reservation. Food was uniformly good - especially the lamb and the amazing bread. The house beer was also delicious but recommend you get the bottle if you’re sharing - it’s half the price of two individual glasses.

I had high expectations, very good appetizers & dessert but I didn't liked main courses in Katrina Menu...

I guess the concept and the food aren’t for me. We took two 7-course menus and 2 platters. I was surprised by how little food the menus contain - you basically get 2 fried fish balls, a piece of fried cod, salmon, raw shrimp, cured beef, lamb stew and a dessert, in small portions. I liked the cod and the complimentary bread with aglioli. I didn’t like the lamb and dessert. The waitress was very nice and explained what each dish contains. Overall way too expensive for what it offers.

The restaurant is really cosy and quaint. If it was raining and stormy on a late evening, I would love to stay here. However, I was here on a sunny Sunday (a rarity in the Faroes) and ordered the "tradtional faroese meal" (lamb served with peas, red cabbage, potatoes, brown gravy and rhubarb jam). The meat was excellent, very tasty and with a perfect consistency. The side dishes were also delicious. It was served with a carafe of chilled water (free of charge). I can recommend the dark lager "Ottar", brewed on the island of Suðuroy, with the dish. Cheers and bon appétit! Unfortunately only 4/5 stars, as the table was a bit sticky and probably not wiped down thoroughly enough.

Brilliant atmosphere, historic building, I really liked the stories about the house and owners in the booklet. Unfortunately the booklet was better than the food for this price. Especially the cod in the pasta was weird. Lamb and salmon was fine from the 5 course menu, rest was mediokrere. From the wine menu the sweet desert wine was bit sparkling…weird. The staff was very nice

The food was absolutely amazing. A delicious seafood platter, lamb, and salmon. The service was great and the drinks were delicious. While the meal was expensive, it's not overly so and was less than I would have expected.

Unforgettable meal! We ordered everything on the menu but especially enjoyed the croquettes, cabbage, salmon tartare, and langoustines. Grab the two house beers - Katrina and William - for a complete experience!

Really enjoyed this cute restaurant in the heart of Tórshavn. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, I like how cosy and comfortable this place is. Really enjoyed my tapas, from the battered cod chins to the fried cheese, beef and mash, everything was delicious and heart warming. An absolute must go when in the Faroe Islands :)

Lovely atmosphere and service. The food was very good too! I was by myself and had the 5 course tasting menu, which was definitely plenty of food for one. Would recommend and will come here again if I’m ever back in Torshavn :)

Very good food. We enjoyed the 5 dish tasting menu for 395dkk (about 50€). Reasonably priced as you get a lot of great food! You won't walk away hungry here. The bread was to die for! We made a reservation in advance on their website (I would strongly recommend to do this, people were turned away at the door). We were seated close to the door, and every so often there was a blast of cold wind when the door opened. However, we did not let this ruin our experience which was amazing overall!
