This place was okay, but I was surprised it was unstaffed (you check in over a speaker phone button in the lobby), the rooms were the smallest I've stayed in (think youth hostel in Manhattan) in my 45 years, and the curtains in my bathroom had residual spray that was hopefully toothpaste from multiple prior occupants (see images). My window opened up into a large HVAC unit too. Lunch and dinner in the adjacent restaurant was pretty good, but I only ate the included breakfast once (powdered eggs, yuck, and limited additional choices) before exploring better options nearby all of which were substantially better. It was fine, but after walking around the corner there are multiple other hotels that seem more modern and have rooms that face the ocean.

Hotel Tórshavn offer simple rooms, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good and the location is just perfect, especially if you don't have a car and you use only a public transport. It is close to the port and the bus and ferry terminal. .

We arrived when the manager was at the hotel and we received good service and information. Didn't see any reception staff after check in. My room was uniquely furnished, no bedhead as bed was parallel to the wall with a side table at one end, clean and enough space. Breakfast was good, plenty of options. Hotel in a very good location, short walk to harbour and centre.

Good and nice place to stay! The hotel is right in the centre of Tórshavn. Everything is within walking-distance. Also free parking is just around the corner (You just have to find a good system with the parking disc (But not really tricky...). The rooms were ok - nothing outstanding but ok for one week. There is also a bar and a restaurant in the house. We didn't test the bar, but the restaurant was affordable and the food had a good quality. Also the breakfast which is included was very good and something for everybody. The big disadvantage is that it can beocme quite noisy. As it is just in the centre, all important pubs and clubs are also within walking distance and especially at the weekend we got the feeling that everybody from Tórshavn was meeting in front of our window and although the windows were all closed, it was like the people were just meeting in your room. Not really the best way to sleep...

Great location, decent sized room, bathroom needs improvement. Really dislike the fact that the bathroom gets wet easily. Breakfast was good BUT the view from both windows could be better though...

Ordentliches Hotel mit einfachen Zimmern. Gutes Frühstück, sehr freundlichen Personal. Prekäre Parksituation am Hotel, nur 30 Minuten, dann am Hafen. Badsituation ist unmöglich, da nach dem duschen mit Vorhang das ganze Bad schwimmt und der Boden extremrutschig ist. Bei unserem zweiten Aufenthalt war das Bad noch winziger.Aber die Lage optimal.

Nice hotel in the heart of Torshavn. 5min walk to bus and ferry terminals. Room with seaview very spacious, however it lacks adequate storage space. You need to book housekeeping the night before or speak directly to the housekeeping staff if you meet them in the morning. Btw, the do an awesome job. Breakfast is very limited and never varies. I recommend that you go before 8am as the poor lady taking care of the breakfast service won't be able to cope with the number of guests. Manned reception from 10am to 8pm. Very nice people. OK is probably a generous rating There is no reception , rooms are tiny and old, bathroom is particularly small and usually wet. Road and public noise levels are very high and go on late into the night. No regular room service.

Basic but Charming Hotel in a Great location Considering most hotels in this island are priced a lot more higher than similar hotels in rest of Europe, this hotel is a great value for money and quite Chic for the price you pay. Very Scandic in design, feel and Vibe LOCATION: Excellent location right next to the Beautiful Harbor front and close to all the lively bars and restaurants. They have their own parking spot right next to the Hotel DINE + DRINK: The HVONN Brasserie on site is one of the reputed restaurant and bars in town. The View from the restaurant on 1st floor especially is wonderful. Perfect place to get a sunset drink and also a good place for a Lazy Breakfast in the morning! Breakfast is a simple affair with no specially prepared food like eggs or local cuisine. ROOM: We stayed in Room #505, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Random city View; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: Heater that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Very weak Seperated bed that was barely good enough to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Super compact Bathroom (typical of Scandinvian hotels!) with a tiny Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Low quality ones, bring your own! Nice hotel in the heart of Tórshavn. The breakfast buffet is varied and very tasty. You find parkings for your car in different streets close to the hotel, most of them free of charge. You can also have dinner in the hotel for a fair price. They serve pizza, burgers and pasta.

If you want a quiet place to sleep.. this is not it. Although location is excellent, there are loud and tipsy people sitting in front of the church until early morning and being rowdy. Cars driving. There’s a big noisy car cleaning the street for already an hour under our window (it’s 11.30PM….). Breakfast is very dull and dry. No fruit, no cucumbers/tomato.

The location of the hotel is the most positive thing to say about the hotel. The lobby is unstaffed, the breakfast come with scrambled eggs which have never seen an egg, and the payment procedure when checking out is weird and does not fill save due to the unstaffed lobby. A stranger would easily be able to take all your personal information, since to yell your Credit-card information into a monitor/walkie-talkie.

Classic hotel. Good value for money. Tasty breakfast options.

Rooms are ok, but the beds are really on the narrow side and way too soft. Bathroom is ok. Despite the fact you don't see any personal, I found it quite easy to solve all the issues. Location is spot on, but can get noisy during weekend.
