Super cute cafe and family run! The cafe serves coffee out of a thermos and sells a few other chocolate bars. The owner was super friendly, there’s interesting books and art pieces lining the walls and the view out the window was gorgeous.

Past a serene lake, in between endless green mountains that look like a Windows desktop come to life, stands still a beautiful church house, with a grass roof and a little brick fence. Just awesome and chill.

Very tiny cafe and museum. Can enter museum for a fee. The cafe sells a selection of sweets and candies with coffee and tea. Seem to be at reasonable prices. They also sell a bunch of Faroese books and wool toys. There's free parking and a free toilet nearby.

There's a beautiful ride over, great photo ops in the area, lots of interesting things to see. There's a lot of attention to enable a respectful visit! Bathrooms, trash bins, good signage, parking lot.

Interesting authentic place with small cafe (hot drinks, cakes). Unique 🤩 P.S. Open hours are different then in Google Maps now.

Nice little shop with home baked goods and coffee (free refills). The old house which is the museum can be visited for a fee. You are allowed to take pictures.

On a foggy day it looks like something from a Nordic Fairytale, the village of Saksun is a mythical place. Everything was closed when I was there, the weather was rough, but the place was amazing. So mesmerising. Now, the villagers didn't choose to become a tourist destination so please do respect all the guidelines, the people and the nature.

The Museum occupies a seventeenth-century farm house called Dúvugarður. The house belongs to the Dúvugarður farm, still an active sheep farm with approximately 710 ewes.

The most beautiful cliff views. The past is so vivid and humble you can see how this island life created their community and shaping their new identity. Very insightful and charming.

While Saksun is beautiful, the museum was closed. Apparently the season for a lot of places ends end of august, after which they are closed, but google and other Internet sources still tell you the places are open. When walking to the small chruch, as a tourist, you feel not welcome as a sign, placed on barbed wire, reads "enough is enough. No more tourist trespassing. Police will be called"
