I'm so sorry to see such a greed in Faroes. 26 euros per person for walking a path to see nature's beauty is madness! If the fee is to preserve the paths then the path should be golden! And it wasn't even a well-preserved! This practice of ripping off travelers is a disgrace and I've seen it in many hiking paths here. Really shameful for the country's tourism.

(Translated by Google) The two kilometer hiking trail costs over € 25 per person. I find the prices absolutely outrageous. (Original) Die zwei Kilometer Wanderweg Kosten über 25 € pro Person. Ich finde die Preise absolut unverschämt.

Many haters in comments about fee of 200 krons, but I am sure that none of them asked an owner or local worker about on what this moneys goes? They made a lot of work already and making more for tourist comfort from the beginning at parking till 4 km long path. This is their investment and their right to take a fee for the path. Wishing them luck in their work. Thanks a lot for the comfortable and safety hike.

(Translated by Google) It is really sad to see how the tourists here in some places the money "stolen" is. For a 3km walk and a little bit of view 200kr (> 25 €) per person is really out of proportion. So brazen I have only seen here so far!

200DKK is a bit too expensive to enjoy nature. I understand that the trail is on private land, and the expense required to maintain the trail. I could also see that work was being done to improve the trail. But 50DKK or even 100DKK would be a more acceptable price. That said, the (existing) trail was good and the views stunning.

26€ for what? 2 hours of hiking. Even if trail is good maintained it wouldn't worth this money but it's not maintained at all and few times I got lost wondering around at the end. Some parts are wet and full of mud also. Not worth money at all!

LOCALS DON'T PAY the 200DKK pp entry fee so neither should you! This is discrimination and no-one should encourage this behavior! Just pass the toll booth with this information because they are asking the same price of a Helicopter flight!! Tip: you can also take the path around the lake that starts next to the airport! It's a really nice walk! EDIT to reply the owner: You say that the locals also use the same path to the cliff. If that's true, then they should certainly pay the entrance fee! If they are part of the problem, they should be part of the solution! Like many tourists, I too have no problem in helping projects that help conserve nature, but the current system is just demanding tourists to pay the price of a Helicopter ride for a 2hr walk, while locals don't pay anything! There are many systems that are not discriminating, but you choose not to use them!

The hike is absolutely incredible! It is super easy (even suitable for small children and pregnant women) and the views are phenomenal - exactly what we needed after a long flight. I can't emphasize enough how amazing it is and how much it offers, I would do this hike over and over again. Please do ignore the one-star reviews as people who write these reviews are being absolutely unreasonable and cannot formulate a single legitimate argument other than "It is expensive and I don't like it." I am surprised to see so many negative reviews not about the hike itself but about the fees. Those who hiked there, actually saw that the paths do need to be restored - why not to contribute to preserve this tiny island of environmental hope? You guys pay for movies/shows, right? How is this three-hour hike different? Nature is incredibly fragile and it needs to be protected; charging people is the only way for the owner (note: it is his private land and he could have closed the hike completely) to regulate the foot traffic. The owner installed public toilets and a small cafe for hikers - is this what you are complaining about? Do you seriously have no respect or appreciation for people's work and their native land? Most importantly, those who complained here, need to understand that nobody owes them anything. Nature doesn't owe you guys anything. You are guests in this country, just like I am, and you should be willing to contribute if you are enjoying one of the local's very few resources. The Faroe Islands is probably one of the last places in the world that has not been consumed by the plague of globalization (not a single McDonald's or 711 here) and I was happy to contribute to protecting this precious land. So should you.

200dkk, 30 euros !!! To walk 3km in the nature, what a joke, especially that weather is terrible most of the time, there are much better places for free in Faroe than this place, just skip it, definitely not worth

I would be totally fine with paying reasonable contribution for maintenance of the path (even though it doesn't look to be extra maintained, there are few artificial steps/stairs in the final part, but 95% of the length its just a foot path like any other, created mostly by people using it). 200 DKK is a disgrace though. Faroe Islands is an expensive country, but not that insanely much. They've recently finished a new under-sea tunnel with roundabout, unique technological masterpiece which did cost millions. Price for using it? 150 DKK. There we have a peace of beautiful nature which some random greedy guy happened to "own" without having to do anything to create it. Price? 200 DKK for a visit! 1* for greed of responsible people, who are creating this tourist trap for their own income. Its sad that other Faroese people and local authorities seem to be OK with those few individuals, who are just milking tourist who "dared" to visit this beautiful part of the world and harming the reputation of all islanders. I definitely won't let this ruin my overall experience, but a bitter aftertaste remains... I hope that after some time, these beautiful islands won't change into a tourist trap where you are striped of money even for breathing "their" air.

(Translated by Google) Nature and land on FAroer is public property. The construction of a new asphalt road of more than 1 km from the village to a parking space for 10 cars does not justify an entrance fee of 200 Kr. FAroer does not serve tourism on this point. Nuisance like in Saksun can hardly be an argument here. You can inquire.

It was a good trail for hiking with wonderful view. My party spent over five hours enjoying the nature, granted weather was very nice. Hiking fee is up to the debate. I am willing to pay for the price that set by the landowners for Trælanípan view, and I skipped the Dunnesdrangar trail because I have a choice (by the way, you can hike to Dunnesdrangar from Trælanípan across the waterfall). Overall, it was a good experience for us. I would hike this trail again (pending if fee doesn't increase).

Once I saw the price of 200dkk / 27€, I decided to turn around. What a rip-off. A view in nature should be "priceless" in both ways!

Exceptional. Need to be done. The entrance is not free but it is one of the best place of the island
