I got the Fried Oyster Mushroom sandwich with sweet potato fries and the NC BBQ Plate. My plates looked EXACTLY like the plates on the website. Im almost ashamed to say I ate almost everything but it was THAT good. The BBQ jackfruit was very hearty and flavorful , the yams were impeccably seasoned with cinnamon and nutmeg in every bite without being overly sweet, I did throw a pinch of cayenne on the collards but there was ZERO bitterness. The cornbread was very moist and sweet, almost like cake. The Fried Oyster Mushroom Sandwich....I could easily eat that every week on schedule. The mushrooms are full of flavor and have that crunch that you just crave. The sweet potato fries were so obviously fresh and the seasoning blend is superb lol my son was dancing while he was eating them. Everything is made fresh so it takes time but it's WELL worth it. You can order ahead on the website to save time. They have so many other menu items (including a nice variety of overnight oats). The chef is super friendly and passionate about his craft. 10 out of 10

So I’m slowly switching over to a plant based lifestyle and today I stopped at Earthhouse Juices & Drinks (Back To The Roots) in Westwood shopping center. I had the fried oyster mushroom sandwich w/ the mango manny smoothie, it was delicious 😋 only con would be I wish the bread could’ve been toasted. My fiancé had the organic bbq (jackfruit) platter w/ sorrel juice, he enjoyed it. The staff was very nice and informative and prices were reasonable. We will most definitely be back 😊

I love that I can enjoy comfort foods and not have to worry about preservatives or toxic ingredients . It can be hard to eat out these days The owner really cares about the quality of the food and packs the food with lots of flavor. I need another one of those jackfruit quesadillas, collards, and vanilla bread! Come support this melanin owned business ! You won’t regret going “Back to the root”😃

I had the vegan stir-fry today and it was very tasty. Reminded me of fried rice. I have also had the greens and coming from someone that still eats meat they had plenty of flavor and I did not miss the meat. You have to give this place a try and the smoothies are delicious and healthy (not full of sugar).

Got takeout barbecue jackfruit with spelt cornbread. Loved it and the vanilla sweetbread. Very flavorful vegan food. Will definitely come back!

Back to the Root has been an awesome experience for my husband and I. We are excited to check out healthier ways to eat so we tried the Organic Sprouted Cinnamon and Maple Overnight Oats, and it was very good and flavored perfectly. We will definitely be trying other foods as well.😊

Restaurant was clean, staff were friendly, food and drinks were delicious. I highly recommend trying this location. Food was flavored well and tasted amazing, I got the jackfruit quesadilla w a side of sweet potato fries and was surprised at how great it was!!!!! 5 stars!!!!

This restaurant is completely different and equally as good as Vibe downtown. My food was hot, fresh, flavorful and oddly enough…healthy? As an ethical vegan I’m very happy to have a solid option that prepares a food fast. I’ll be back! I will also bring my non-vegan friends and family. I loved the jackfruit quesadilla! I am so happy to have a solid vegan food option on this side of town, West Fayetteville/Hoke county it’s time to open a vegan restaurant! Today I almost screamed in joy when I saw that they work with meal delivery apps. I’m ordering it online!

I had the quinoa fritters and maple cinnamon brussel sprouts and both were SOOO good! Even if you think you don't like brussel sprouts, I'd bet you'd like these! Definitely a must try!

I'm grateful for more vegan options in Fayetteville. Their drinks and smoothies have honey from bees which is not vegan. I paid almost $20 for this plate smh that is not vegan BBQ more like open a can, then add BBQ sauce with vinegar without letting it marinate. I got mostly juice instead of collard greens which tasted like cabbage. My food was in a to go box which i sat at the table outside to eat. If you ever go to Durham stop by Pure Soul Vegan and they have the best vegan BBQ.
