What a unique experience! The restaurant was comfy, not too big and location smack dab in the middle of things. The food was a culinary journey through Tuscany with unique flavors. It was a true pleasure. We had the cured meat platter (10/10), the bean soup (10/10), the stuffed pasta (9/10) and the game meat (10/10). We shared everything between two and they even plated it that way, which was very generous and unexpected. If you are looking for quality food, come here.

This is a great place to try out Tuscan food, very limited and specific selection that can be appreciated by anyone. From appetizers to soups such as Cacciucco you certainly can find something here that you will like!

The pasta (around €15)was okay, not my favorite, and the complimentary bread was very hard and stale. Enjoyed the tiramisu (€6). Good service. Required reservation during the weekend, was able to book 15 minutes before.

I'd highly recommend the grilled seabass, fish soup, and homemade pasta. Beyond the delicious food, I truly appreciate the staff's attitude. Each time they served us I can hear them humming cheerful tunes, which adding a delightful touch to our dining experience.

I discovered this restaurant during my holidays in December. At first I was attracted by the meals they proposed and I really wanted to try the garlic pasta. The waiters were very nice especially Giovanni!! I’ll come back for sure. Furthermore they are dog friendly!!

We found this restaurant on our recent trip to Florence. Whilst the space is simple the food and service was simply the best experience we had. We had burrata as a starter, seafood short pasta for main and apple pie for dessert. It was incredibly fresh with beautiful flavours. The cocktails and glasses of wine were BIG!

Hands down the best place we ate in Florence. Delicious pasta. I would really recommend the codfish and tomato sauce with rosemary potatoes. Book in advance or try your luck on the door as they fill up quickly.

One of the best pastas I’ve ever had! My choice was the short pasta with seafood. All the ingredients were so fresh and amazingly cooked in balance. Staff were friendly and we were also offered to taste different wines before ordering. Overall an amazing experience - highly recommend!

By far the best restaurant we had in Florence during our stay. From service to food they are outstanding. I recommend to call them ahead of time to reserve a table to avoid waiting. We had to come back to be seated but it’s all worth it.

What a gem of a restaurant in Florence. The service and food were absolutely amazing. Very fresh and delicious dinner. Warm welcome and genuinely kind. First dinner in Florence after a long day of travel. So glad we found this restaurant as it was a true welcome to Florence. Thank you so much to our server and chef.

A great pasta stop along a city walk. Service was efficient yet friendly and we weren’t rushed at all. The wine was great with two options provided and a tasting of each given. A decent menu with lots of choice accompanied by an extensive daily specials list too. I opted for a traditional filled pasta with potato topped with a delicious Tuscan ragu - a great dish. All menu items were listed in Italian and English. A great spot!

It is next to pizza place and a bit small one from the front. We didnt recognize it first time we passed front. Two people ordered cod fish, eggplant, salad and two drinks. The food was very good and seem quite a Tuscany style. Workers were very kind. And the food arrived quite fast. Price was around 50 euro and i guess it is a fair price for such a good food. We would definitely advice to try.

Lovely local spot here in Florence. This restaurant puts their focus on a local seasonal produce, meats and cheeses for all of their dishes. They have a set menu as well as daily specials which include seafood options. I can’t highly recommend the seafood pasta enough! Everything from the service, wine and food was excellent!

Is it possible to be in the same restaurant 4 times in 3-day stay in Florence? Yes, if it is Il Ricettario. Antonio, the owner is an amazing host in the true meaning of this word. This is not only food but the whole experience of delicious tastes, combination of different ingredients and learning more about the Toscana region. Fully recommended. Reasonable prices, unforgettable!

Best pasta I’ve had in Italy so far! This restaurant definitely deserve its high rating - the pasta tasted so fresh, was cooked to perfection, and had just the right amount of sauce on them. The dishes were also very affordable (€12-€16 euros each for the ones we ordered) and there was no cover charge!!!! They also gave free bread and the olive oil they had was also great. Service was also great and the staff were all very friendly. We were in a hurry to catch a train and they were able to seat us, take our order, serve our food, and pay within 45 minutes, without feeling rushed at all (although we didn’t have time for dessert but saw everyone ordering the tiramisu which looked amazing).

Amazing food! Reasonably priced. We tried two different starters and two different dishes for 2 nights, all amazing! Fresh, fresh, fresh!!! Giovanni and Antonio were very friendly, polite, great, and attentive.

The cuisine was superb, the staff incredibly welcoming, and the pricing quite fair. It’s hard not to recommend this restaurant! Since the food was excellent, I visited this restaurant every single night during my stay in Florence. The Carbonara was the best I’ve ever tasted! Their dishes were outstanding indeed!

We went for dinner on two consecutive days so we could try more of the excellent food. We had the prosciutto and melon and the seafood appetizers. Then we had the stuffed pasta in red meat sauce and the ravioli in sage butter sauce. Finally we tried the wild boar, steak, and sea bass. Everything we tried was excellent, and I highly recommend any of the dishes. Giovanni was our waiter, and he took great care of us on both nights. It’s a comfortable place with friendly staff and excellent food. Highly recommend a visit.

The pasta was a nice break from the rich truffle creamy sauce pasta we had. Very fragrant and aromatic pesto, brightened with lemon zest Fish was the star of the show. Tender, juicy with a crispy on the skin!

We found this place randomly on Google Maps while searching for something to eat and it could not have been better. The place is cozy, it has a garden and the atmosphere is perfect. The staff is very polite and kind, they speak English well and explain the dishes to you. They gave us some amazing quality olive oil with bread and salt on the house and we ordered pasta AOP and rigatoni with tomato sauce and basil. The food was extraordinary, some of the best pasta we ever ate and the prices are perfect for the portions and the quality. Definitely check this out, it's so good for such a good price in the area it's located. Thank you for having us and we'll definitely return for more!

Great food. Don't often believe in top reviews but thankfully I checked the reviews before coming in! They fit perfectly to this place. Small, concise menu rather than irrelevant dishes. Warm staff, superb wine and decent ambience. Everyone kept checking each other's tables as everything looked amazing! I got ravioli sage - brilliant. Wine recommendation was bang on and ended up having way more than I generally do; not complaining though ;-) Keep up the good work guys!

Fast service, tasty food- away from the most touristic bits, it’s a much quieter spot. Meats are strong and delicious, pasta is thing and quite delicate… for a quick lunch break in Florence before a long drive. I would give 4,5 but google downs allow me 😝

This was a lovely stop during the late afternoon. (We aren’t quite on the Italian time for meals) the Mugello style ravioli was delicious as was the lasagna. The apple pie was light and delicious. We sat in the garden area which felt cool and quiet.

What ever this little restaurant lacks with regards to decor, it more than makes up for in taste. To say our meal was exquisite is an understatement. The flavors were simple and amazing. We would go back in a heartbeat. Started with a seafood/crostini appetizer. Next, a potato filled pasta with ragu (to die for)... and then a veal "stew" that was melt in your mouth tender and explosive in flavor. Highly recommend.

Stumbled upon this place on. A very good kind of stumble. The food is amazing. The service is also very very good. The waiter we had was informative and provides a 5 star service at a very affordable price. Don't go any further up the road. You need to eat here.

Enjoyable classic dishes, had the chick pea & bean soup and Ravioli with sage butter. Good service. Multiple seating areas-larger space downstairs-chairs a bit worn. Accessible restrooms.

Really cute place off a nice quiet street. We sat in the back “garden,” which was a nice outdoor area. Very quiet and relaxing dinner environment. We tried both house reds - Chianti and another one (cannot remember the name). We loved the other one. We tried 3 pastas. Rigatoni from the pasta menu and then #7 and #8 from the Tuscan menu. The pasta stuffed with mashed potatoes was insanely good. Could’ve had it again right after finishing it. The pesto pasta was really lovely as well. Then we finished with the almond cookie dessert. It’s name does not do it justice. It was sooooo so good.

It's a must to it at this restaurant when you visit Florence!🍷 We have served a really delicious instalata with mozzarella, tomatoes, salad and olives.🌱 Secondly we enjoyed a great pasta dish with tomatoes sauce and basil. 🍝 Then a tremendous soft and tastu beef di manzo.😋 It was really crowded for Saturday night, but we had a really amazing evening!💯 Complimenti for chef and Giovanni, the guy that served us!🔝Very proffesional, super multi tasking and a great character !✅ Can't wait to come back!💚🤍♥️

The food was good. But the air conditioning wasn't working and the service was very slow. The sea bass and prawns were exceptional. Pesto pasta was also great. The spaghetti was average. 40-50 minutes for main courses to come is too long.

Not the best to be honest. I ordered the ravioli butter sauce and sage and it was terrible! I believe it was supposed to be a vegetarian dish. It tasted very plant-y if that makes sense. The sage was just so strong. This was the only dish I had in Italy that I had to send back. They did bring me another dish which was good but still not the best. My husband liked his dish but was not his favorite or anything.

This place was recommended to us by a close friend and we had a wonderful time. The dishes were delicious, with ingredients from all over Tuscany and beyond. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. We totally recommend!

My fiance and I grabbed dinner here on our last night in Florence. Not only was the staff incredibly friendly but the service was also A+. We ordered dishes that they explained might take a bit longer to prepare but the wait was actually pretty short and everything was delicious, probably my favorite meal all trip. We definitely planning on stopping by on our next trip to Florence.
