This is the best gelato we've had in Florence, and we've tried many other places during our stay. In fact, we loved the pistachio flavour so much we had it three times over two days! It tastes as if you were eating the actual nut, best we've ever had!

This is the most traditional and the best gelato in Florence. Located between the Duomo and the Academia it is easily accessible. Although they don’t show the any visuals for the flavours, you really can’t go wrong with any of the flavours that they offer. However, it seems like more unique/season limited flavours are located closer to the cashier. So if you want to get a little creative go ahead and give it a try. The shop gets really busy in the afternoon, so you are better off visiting mid-day when the shop just opens. Alternatively, you can hop in after dinner since they do open till late, for an after-dinner dessert.

After walking past shops with “gelato” piled up high on display, I was hoping for an authentic experience. This is the real deal. Proper gelato shouldn’t be piled up high with bright colors. It’s full of air and non natural ingredients, if so. That is not the case here. Ingredients are listed, the gelato is covered up in dishes and served with a flat spatula. The flavor was divine. I got dark chocolate and pistachio. Don’t stop into gelato shops with mountains of product. Get the real stuff here.

A lovely cozy gelato shop! The service was good and the selection was great I particularly loved the buentalenti (I think it’s called) which was a lovely cream and mascarpone flavour that was so clean. Azteco was also something special which I saw was a common flavour. The shop can sit two people inside the cute place but of course you can just take your gelato outside to keep enjoying the city!

Delicious, traditional gelato — not a tourist trap stand. They don’t even display the gelato which proves that everything rests on the flavour, and it stands up to the challenge. I’ve been sampling dark chocolate gelato everywhere I go and this is probably the richest, least sweet one I’ve had yet — which is great. The Azteco with white chocolate and cinnamon is not something I’ve encountered anywhere else and I would highly recommend. Other members of my family tried the wild berry, melon, and bergamot and were all pleased. The flavours are listed in English and Italian, which is helpful. There isn’t as large of a selection as some other places, but I’m assuming this is because they serve more traditional flavours. The staff wasn’t overly warm but it’s not a full service restaurant or anything so not a huge deal. Also may be a language thing. All in all, would recommend going here for a great taste of florentine gelato!

Just best ice cream I ever tasted. We ate pistachio, strega nocciola and azteca. We will back tomorrow for tasting others!

Very nice service! The gelato tasted super natural and authentic. The gelato is covered by lids, meaning the place doesn't need shiny colors to attract costumers because the quality of the gelato is more than enough. I would really recommend nocciola, fragola and azteco!

This is authentic Italian Gelato! Trust me, it was very difficult to find a good gelato in Italy. My hypothesis is, since I was mostly walking within the touristic areas, I was subject to all the touristy gelato places, so, every time I tried any of them, It was totally meh. Nothing to be surprised about. But then, in Firenze, I found this gem and I had my WOW moment as far as Gelato. Unfortunately, this happened the last day of my trip, so I was able to try only 2 flavors of them which I totally recommend: Fondant Chocolate and Pistachio. You can taste the texture which is very different from all other places, thick and creamy. It has a great balance between the sugar and the other ingredients. Another thing is that the price is even cheaper! I am making the comparison with Amorino which is just a few blocks away. My summary for you in case you want to have better chances of experiencing authentic gelato is here: 1.- Not in the main streets or touristy areas 2.- It is never displayed uncovered 3.- No bright colors. This means they used additives. 4.- If the Sicilian pistachio is not with a yellowish tone, is not Sicilian pistachio. I hope this helps!

Nice selection of gelatos with great flavour combinations. We tried maya and Azteca. Maya is combination of dark chocolate and chilli, packed full of heat and nicely complimented by dark chocolate… Azteca is white chocolate with hint of cinnamon… yummy… must try if you are at Ponte Vecchio, Florence

We visited this place twice during our 4 night stay in Florence where we tried to visit 2 different ice cream shops each day - the heatwave called for it! Fruit flavours were very refreshing and delicious. I also tried Pistachio which was outstanding. Great location as well, very central.

10/10 authentic gelato. No nasties, only real ingredients. You can tell it’s the original recipe because it has no food coloring, nor have this cabinets showing mountains of gelato. It’s all covered, no fake displays. Will come back to Florence for this! 😍😍

I tried three flavors of gelato, pistachio, hazelnut, and strawberry, and each one was delicious, velvety smooth, and reasonably priced, definitely is one of my favorite gelato stores I've ever eaten at on a trip to Italy!

I have tried many gelato places around Florence and this is hands down the BEST!!! If you are traveling here you must try this spot, it is also so close to the Duomo. Try combining a few flavors, you will love it. I got coffee and chocolate chip, it was the best ever!!

Gelato - superb. I really love it. The pistachio, hazelnut and 1 more thr shop specialty gelato (creamy colour) was awesome. service - not much service the owner (assuming) was a man of few words. We took his recommendation. 3 different scope (medium size) for €5.20. Definitely not the cheapest but I think its worth it. 😌

E have been eating and trying many different Gelato This location was a pleasant surprise, usually they are so over powering with sugar and really are not good at all But this location the Gelato was much more favorable Hopefully we have the opportunity to come back again soon

It was the best ice cream we had tried in Firenze from about 4 different places. Fragola + bergamot 😍

One of the best gelatos around Florence imo. Our Airbnb coincidentally was right above the shop and we had this almost every night. It opens till late and there is usually a queue but moves fast. Highly recommended compared to those around the main Duomo stretch.

Wonderful (small-chain? we saw a couple more wandering Florence...) gelato shop between the Duomo and Accademia - well worth a stop! All of the gelati are kept at the perfect temperature and the gentlemen who was there the day we visited was helpful in answering our questions (such as "why is the gelato covered - we haven't seen that before"). Certainly a delightful treat. Their pistaccio and fragola were very, very delicious.

Great ice-cream! I loved all the flavors, but especially the white creamy one. 3.9 euro for a medium size and you can pick 3 flavors.

Tried the classic combo which everyone was gushing about. The lavender and stracciatella both are really good but the lavender is not that strong of a flavour it later starts tasting like vanilla. But overall good gelato.

Another great gelateria in Firenze. My husband particularly loves there white chocolate cinnamon. I am not a white chocolate fan, but i found the flavor quite delicious.

One the the most quaint, authentic artisan gelaterias in Florence. I visited many. The absolute creamiest flavor is the cheesecake. The most unique flavor offered is Lavender. Lovely experience. PS-they keep their selections covered, which is a good sign of a true artisan shop.

Mmh this place has so many 5-star reviews... they were friendly and let us taste a lot of flavors before choosing, but honestly most of them were not particularly good. They have some cool and unique flavors that we haven't seen anywhere else on our trip, which was a nice fresh thing. But after 2 weeks of road tripping Italy, eating gelato at least once a day, this wasn't better than others. Pistaccio and bergamot was amazing though

At the moment their Pistacchio tastes for me the best in the world. But you know tastes are different. Recently I discovered that they have also shops in other cities, but Florence is my fave location also because it’s near Iconic Ponte Vecchio. Their quality is really high, so the prices are totally worth. Also since they are artisan, they have interesting tastes, some of my faves are: Lavanda, Bergamot and Peppermint and Chocolate. Indulge yourselves and enjoy.

The gelato was creamy and delicious! Nice stop after seeing the David statue. I liked the Azteca flavor which was white chocolate with cinnamon. Like an iced chai latte!

Good gelato, but the staff wasn’t very friendly and limited people to just one sample per person, even though in our party of 8 only 3 people needed samples. They had some different flavors so it would have been nice to try a few.

Very nice gelato. I recommend this place because stays true to the gelato form but has some interesting flavors. Dark chocolate I recommend for non adventurous because such a nice deep flavor. Want more fun flavor? Lavender!! Wonderfully light and fresh and it’s not a soap taste like lots of lavender foods.

👍👍 What can I say it’s the best Gelato you can ever try in Italy. I don’t usually go for popular chains and brands but this place is really really good and is up to its reputation. There is usually a line for the gelato, every flavor you chose will be very unique as if it’s the house’s special flavor....
