We had an excellent meal here this evening. The service from the chefs son was excellent. He was handling every single table by himself and did so with a smile and helped guide everyone through the menu. The food was excellent, as was the wine. Don't sleep on this unassuming little spot.

Awesome dinner. Can really recommend, great value for money. As starter we had the octopus salad, as mains the mixed grilled seafood platter and beef with parmasan cheese (good option instead of florentine steak, which also looked great at the table next to us), as dessert the cheesecake. Everything exceeded expectations. Friendly people as well. Actually think this was our best dinner in 9 days tuscany.

My wife and I have been vacationing in Italy for the last two weeks. We've visited Roma, Venezia, and now Florence. We read a lot of great reviews of La Scarpetta and knew we had to give it a try. Upon arriving, we were seated by a wonderful man named Gabriel (I hope I'm spelling that correctly). He is incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. His English is also perfect! Being tourists, we were a little lost on what to order since everything looked SO good and we didn't know where to begin. Gabriel gave us suggestions on what to order based on our interests. To start, we ordered the Tagliere Toscano which was incredible! The meats, the cheese, the bread, amazing. The main dish we got was the Bistecca Fiorentina with a side of Potate Forno. The steak was perfectly cooked. Honestly, BEST steak I've ever had. The potatoes had the PERFECT amount of crisp and were seasoned exceptionally. We finished the meal with some delicious tiramisu and Amaro. As mentioned earlier, my wife and I have eaten at many, many restaurants across Italy. La Scarpetta is easily our favorite. We will be returning!

Great restaurant, a family business. The owners are very nice and friendly, and the food is great. I had the pasta with the porcini mushrooms which was delicious, and the tiramisu was also delightful. The atmosphere is pleasant, and I definitely recommend it.

A place that does not reflect the price. We went because of the good reviews we read on the internet. We ordered a Florentine steak which arrived cold without a cast iron plate. I kindly ask you to warm up and fatally, it arrives much less in quantity…. You do it…

We randomly find this place as we can't get a taxi to go in the city center. It was truly an amazing dîner. The food is really good. Fresh pasta, excellent wine and very friendly service.

Small neighborhood gem near river and hotels. We ordered the octopus in tomato sauce with pasta and shared a tiramisu for dessert. The octopus was perfectly cooked: tender, not chewy and the tomato sauce was light and fresh. The tiramisu was also tasty: light and creamy. Friendly waitstaff helped us out speaking English. The decor is very basic, but comfortable. Go for the food.

We had an amazing experience at La Scarpetta. A family owned restaurant with a warm, cozy, and comfortable environment. The food was incredible, and service was wonderful. Price was absolutely worth the food. Quality and unique dishes that are traditionally tuscan-Italian.

We had an excellent dinner here! The meatballs and the fresh warm bread were amazing! The server was helpful, friendly, and funny. It was nice going somewhere away from the crowds. We promised to come back again for dessert, and I hope I get the chance!

It’s a family owned restaurant so they definitely prioritize quality. The service was amazing and the Sauvignon Blanc was the best wine of the night.

I had the seafood risotto which was absolutely beautiful and the tiramisu which was also amazing. The staff were friendly and the food came out very quickly. I stumbled upon this place when looking for restaurants close to my accommodation in Florence. Please try this place as the food was divine! I saw many gluten free options on the menu including pasta and main courses (both fish and meat).

Excellent Bistecca. Served with coarse salt. The hammer. The best in Italy so far. Ditto spaghetti carbonara. Pasta with porcini perfect. Service as you wish. It was a bit warm in the restaurant when we moved in.

The food and the service were absolutely amazing. We were able to take our time and had amazing service from our waiter. The tiramisu and cheesecake were both made in house and we're phenomenal. Our waiter even offered us limoncello made by him, which was again amazing. Definitely a must try place when in Firenze.
