Wonderful beach, it's at the top of my favorite places on the island. The water is very clear and with few waves, ideal for children. Walking to the right and crossing the rocks and a small trail of no more than 20 meters, it is possible to find other “hidden beaches”. There's always a big crab walking around, lots of moss and corals. It's a show of colors even when the sky is cloudy.

Ponta das Canas, is a quiet beach, free parking on the street, the sea full of boats, makes for a more beautiful view, a long strip of sand, few bars and restaurants, calm sea, almost no waves, excellent for children. You can access other beaches through small trails. I loved it, I will definitely be back.

Praia Ponta Das Canas, es una playa muy linda y limpia. Por las mañana se puede apreciar la llegada de los pescadores, el agua es calma y el nivel de profundidad de los primeros 100m. es de apenas unos 50 cm aprox. es ideal para estar sentado con niños y admirar los peces pasar a su alrededor. Su temperatura es agradable y la autopista a lo lejos hacen un lindo paisaje para recordar.

It’s one of the best beaches in the island, clear and clean water. It has many options (shops and water sports). And it doesn’t have many waves. Perfect for children.

One of the best beaches on the island, we went to Canasvieiras in 2019, we visited it and we were delighted. This year we stayed there at 50 meters, shallow and fairly flat water, ideal for going with children and for those who like calm waters. The environment is pleasant although it is quite busy, it has good gastronomic offers and you can also see the classic sellers of roasted chocolate, grilled cheese, drinks, etc.

Good beach. Very busy during summer with many families. I suggest finding a spot by the rocks. Tons to explore when you keep walking.
