You need to read a lot in order to enjoy the visit, but the explanations are well written and presented in French, English and German. There are not many objects, if you don't want to read about the history, there is not much to see. If you live in Grenoble you'll want to take note of the addresses mentioned in the permanent exhibit, because most are within walking distance and the buildings usually have a little plaque explaining its importance during the war.
