(Translated by Google) It had been a year that, painfully, I tried to fight against constipation. Despite the consumption of many laxatives and other products supposed to deliver me from my transit disorders, I had no results. I have seen many doctors and healers, but none of them could provide a viable solution. But, when I visited this magnificent place, all my senses were awakened, and, when I went to the incredible architectural masterpiece that is the toilet, I felt a tremendous shock of emotion that pierced my strong interior. Suddenly, my colon freed itself and my feces liquefied. I was able to clear out everything that had been blocked for far too long! It was a real liberation. Since that day, I wake up every morning having confidence in my transit and knowing full well that I would never be constipated again in my life. In short, I strongly advise you to go and see this magnificent museum.

Good Museum, specially if you like the Spanish, French and Italian painting schools. The best are the French impressionists. I suggest a quiet walk of two hours enjoying the paintings.

Excellent collection of fine arts, primary paintings, in a beautiful big spacious building with impressive architecture. This museum is a must-see attraction if you are in Grenoble. The entrance fee for adults is 8EUR. Card payments are accepted too. Based on my experience I would recommend planning at least 2h for the visit of the permanent exhibition. Check the up to date opening times. When I visited the museum was open from 10am to 6:30pm. The collection contains masterpieces of Rodin, Miro, Canaletto, Warhol, Gauguin, Monet, Marc Chagall, Braque, Picasso and many more artists from various epochs.

The Museum of Grenoble is a very beautiful place with stunning architecture. The permanent exhibition features great paintings from great painters and also it has a modern art section. The staff is very kind and they really like what they are doing which is great, since they transfer a positive energy. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions that you can definitely go for a visit since their subjects are very different. I suggest to visit their official website for more information.

I liked the museum permanent exhibition. Light, the set of paintings, the whole building itself... Everything seemed perfect. Even the chairs! Impressed to see Chagall and Delaunay!

Such a gem and free, so no excuse not to go !! Collection is rich with classical and contemporary paintings. One of my preferred is a full wall of dark Soulages, just sit and enjoy !! Or this small peaceful place close to water !! Architecture is also great !! So when do you go ?

Outstanding collection of historic and contemporary European artwork, including a wonderful exhibition of sculptures. Beautifully presented and well preserved. The temporary photography exhibition was also a stunning, but sometimes confronting experience..

The museum has free entrance. A lot of very modern arts inside. You need to be in love in it cause inside too cold. Liked paintings of Picasso

  • 5/5 Guilherme T. 5 years ago on Google
Very good museum, presents a large collection of paintings dating from the 1500's until contemporary works. Most of the older paintings are from European artists. There are many works from local artists, which is a nice touch. The contemporary sculptures can be skipped without missing much, as most are nonsensical if you don't have a degree in arts. Temporary exhibits are usually small, but tend to be very well planned and are worth the visit. On the first Sunday of each month the museum is free, but if it's the last free Sunday of a temporary exhibit you can expect a long line and waiting times that approach 2 hours.

If you happen to be in Grenoble, stop by the Musee de Grenoble. With well-lit galleries, the interconnected galleries take you on a journey from 14th-century Christian iconography to the contemporary. Look out for the Picassos, Modigliani, Magritte, Kadinsky, Miro, and my favorite the Alexander Calder Mobile. Well worth a visit

(Translated by Google) Very beautiful and varied collection ranging from 16th to 20th century with big names such as Matisse, Magritte, Miro, Ernst, Rubens, Picasso, ... Spacious and well-kept rooms. Friendly guards who give you the space to watch the works in peace. You can easily get lost as all the rooms seem to overlap, but that also has its charms.

(Translated by Google) I love this place for its architecture, for its views of the mountains and for the atmosphere of peace it exudes. The works finally complete the whole, surprising ... But like many other places of art finally.

(Translated by Google) One of the most remarkable permanent collections of paintings in France. The 17th century is sumptuously represented. The Matisse of the museum are also worth a detour. Also worth noting is the great interest of the exhibitions which bring life to the museum twice a year. On the practical side, note the quality of the city's transport network, the relative ease of finding a nearby parking space, the presence of a bar-restaurant adjoining the museum, strict compliance with anti-Covid safety instructions and the quality of reception in general. I have never regretted my 6 hours of AR car or train to go to the museum twice a year!

Fantastic museum! Wonderful collection of artworks, but I could honestly come here just for the building itself. So beautifully done! Wish there was more educational information in English, the 2€ audio guide was kind of eh Totally worth a visit though !

  • 4/5 Elizabeth O. 1 year ago on Google
The antiquities are under construction at that time. Had to wait in front of the cashier for several minutes while there is no queue because they were talking to each other. The floor map is helpful but the English audioguide (2€) was only available for several pieces. Under 26 years old can get in for free.

  • 4/5 bill b. 1 year ago on Google
Great collection, but the ancient artifacts section is shut down. You don't get to see any greek or Roman stuff. 8 euros is the full ticket price, and I think they ought to cut that by 2 euros as long as a big part of the collection is closed.

I was disappointed to discover that the Egyptian exhibition was closed for repairs. I had consulted the website prior to my visit and went with the intention of seeing this particular exhibition. There was no indication that the exhibition was not open to the public. I did visit the rest of the museum since I had paid and had an enjoyable and relaxing visit.

(Translated by Google) Very nice collection of works by Matisse ... even if I found "the interior with aubergines" a work by Matisse that I specially came to see, ... in very bad condition, this painting deserves to be restored and the exhibition of his works, more highlighted. I left disappointed despite a beautiful Picasso exhibition ... To see if you go through Grenoble!
