Ce musée est magnifique, aujourd'hui il n'y avait personne, j'ai pu prendre mon temps et admirer toutes les oeuvres. Les pièces sont de couleur différentes, on voyage ainsi dans des espaces différents. Le parc est tout aussi fabuleux. Venez vous poser sur un banc et écouter le vent dans les feuilles. Magique 🥰

Afterwards he visited Nordic countries: Finland, Norway, and even Greenland. Afterwards he went to America to Niagara Falls, and he stayed a little longer in Brazil. As for the temporary exhibition, personally I was not captivated or transported by the works of François-August Biard. But it depends on each person. The gardens are sublime. Incredibly calm, relaxing. There are plenty of places to relax and settle down. Benches are available next to small fountains. Bird songs, dragonflies and numerous lizards can be observed. I loved reading my book in the sun while enjoying the sounds of nature.

A lovely painting exhibition on the ground floor! A temporary exhibition is in another building right next door on the abolition of slavery in France! With its characters fighting for this cause! The gardens are very beautiful, Italian gardens are present at the front of the museum! Another part behind the museum is even quieter and larger with quite a few small fountains and also the tomb of Ernest Hébert! At the bottom of the garden on the right is a really nice little corner with beautiful little flowers! Be careful, however, that the parking space is small in width and you have to stick to the low wall on the right, but don't panic, the alley is not very used except for people who come to visit the museum!

Coup de coeur pour la beauté de la roseraie, parc très agréable surtout en été où on retrouve de la fraîcheur, toujours calme et reposant, le musée n'est pas très grand mais l'accueil est toujours agréable, on apprécie le fait que ce musée est vivant et propose très régulièrement des activités, mais pour ma part le tour des jardins reste la chose la plus attractive, un lieu dont on ne se lasse pas.

Un musée très séduisant, situé dans une rue calme et agréable, un musée qui fait voyager pleinement et réellement dans un autre temps, dans un autre siècle, au XIXème: par ce peintre Ernest Hébert auquel le musée a été dédié, avec des tableaux et une ambiance qui nous emmènent, nous plongent, dans l'esprit, la sensibilité, la singularité de ce siècle, son romantisme, sa curiosité et ses complaisances. Il faut y passer du temps, prendre le temps comme on le faisait au XIXème, pour savoir contempler et ne pas se démener compulsivement pour récolter du "à voir", et cumuler du "vu"... Il faut profiter de ce lieu pour retrouver le plaisir et l'agrément du vrai temps "libre", affranchi de l'aliénation contemporaine du consommer des activités, du "j'ai fait tel et tel pays, tel et tel musée, tel et tel sport, .." ... Le lieu, le bâtiment, sa douceur, son esthétique, ses expositions, et son jardin merveilleux où l'on peut pique niquer dans un cadre romantique, hors du temps, sont enchanteurs, attachants et rafraichissent le goût de la vie...

The Ernest Hébert Museum (1817-1908) in La Tronche (Grenoble 38): a little gem in honor of a forgotten painter. Et, de l’autre côté, dans un bâtiment construit par Hébert, se situe le musée où un nombre non négligeable d’œuvres du maître sont présentées thématiquement, harmonieusement, aérées. On y découvre un peintre multiple aussi à l’aise avec les portraits que les paysages (romains par exemple), les sujets religieux et bibliques ou encore les grands motifs décoratifs comme les esclaves. L’accueil est remarquable de gentillesse et de disponibilité. On se sent bien dans cet endroit hors du temps et imprégné de ce XIXe siècle si riche et multiforme. Un lieu à découvrir absolument à partir du printemps pour jouir des jardins. Ce musée est très intéressant pour son cadre magnifique : un jardin au calme et avec des promenades faciles, des bancs pour se poser, de beaux arbres des arbustes et des haies bien entretenus.
