When I have to tell you I'm disappointed, golly I'm dramatically disappointed at the overall experience in this outdated, won't call it ghetto but certainly no 4 stars. Mainly this decision is due to the staff's trash performance. Allow me to elaborate, so clearly they are big fans of profiling and judgemental gossipers. Their Inability to stay professional has led to a negative review, it is sad to say there is zero exaggeration in this statement. As we were getting breakfast. All the ladies behind the front desk just stood around talking smack about all the guests. Not at all in a commonly quiet manner and when they chose my sister and I, they managed to make us feel very uncomfortable.. As I made my coffee, I glare at these grown adult females talking about us with their lack of "polite hospitality" the hotel oh so claims they are. Only positive thing? The freakin waffles, were awesome with all the toppings provided and it was obvious the kitchen staff were the only ones that had it together. As the night proceeds the targeted profiling became worse regardless of even the change in staff. My stay? Wack as heck and they should reconsider their thoughts on how to be a professional employee and make their guests feel welcome.

Comfortable and spacious room, quiet area with convenient access to good food, great work area, nice bed and shower. Mobile Key didn’t work, but the old-school check-in at the front desk was refreshingly fast. The kitchen was a bit dated, and all of the plates and cutlery were visibly dirty. They only provided a single dishwasher pod for a six-day stay. Housekeeping is weirdly aggressive. They knocked almost every day even when my 'do not disturb' sign was up, and one time knocked at three different times when I was in a work Zoom meeting. On my final day, I had just gotten out of the shower and wasn’t dressed when housekeeping used their key and barged into the room hours before checkout, without knocking, and when the ‘do not disturb’ sign was on the door.

The rooms are not very clean. Old and smells dusty. Also SPIDERS! I found three big spiders in a single night. I would be terrified to stay here again! Breakfast is pretty average..hardly any option at all for vegetarians. For the amount they charge, I wouldn't recommend them.

I prefer this location anytime I go to FTC. I like the outdoor patio and basketball court to be able to unwind. This place is always spotless, employees friendly and professional. It’s a Marriott, kind of a know before you go promise in my opinion.

Stayed here for a four night family trip. I was very happy with the location. It takes a few minutes to get into old town, but the area has every amenity. The room was well equipped with a stove, dishwasher, and ice maker. I was also surprised how quiet it was since we saw quite a few other families staying. The breakfasts were great, and staff were all very friendly and helpful. They have an indoor pool, a basketball court, small business center, and a large seating area off of the lobby. My kids enjoyed watching the geese and ducks in the big pond behind the property. Great place for a longer stay.

I had a great stay at Residence in by Marriott Fort Collins. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well appointed. the location was convenient and relatively quiet. If I had to complain about anything, the AC was either always on or always off. It was difficult to set it anywhere in between. We had a family emergency and had to leave a day early. They were very accommodating about canceling the last day for us. I would definitely come back.

07/12 - UPDATED review to add one star after speaking with the general manager of the hotel. She was very courteous and I can tell she genuinely cares about guest experience -- and that helps. The manager noted that guests may turn on the ice maker in their room's refrigerator. This was not indicated in the room information, and had we known this we wouldn't have minded the lack of an ice machine. The manager was unaware that the Internet was unreliable both the night and morning we spent in our room, and suggested that other guests had not complained. Use at your own risk. The manager also noted that the property is due to be renovated, and will be a lot better by spring 2024. I may return at that point to check it out. -- I really wanted to like this hotel. Got a room at a very good price, and it's also nice to have free parking. But sadly, too many gotchas. This is not a good Residence Inn. GOOD: * Very affordable room rate * Free parking * Rooms and common areas are very clean * Very good room air conditioning BAD: * This is the first and only Marriott (of the very many I've stayed in) that did not honor my room request to not be on the ground floor. As a Bonvoy Platinum tier member, I don't necessarily expect an automatic upgrade but a basic choice of room would be nice * No ice machines for guests. That's just wrong. * Internet went out last night and no one at the front desk would pick up the phone after repeated attempts. (At the time of this writing the next morning the Internet is still very spotty.) This is very bad for a business hotel. * The lock on our room door was very sticky, and we practically had to brute force our way in and out. * Bathroom appears to have an exhaust fan, but there is no way to turn it on. This is most likely a violation of Colorado Statutes. (And speaking of the bathroom: they had the thinnest, most uncomfortable toilet paper I've ever experienced. I'm embarrassed for them.) * Breakfast was meh, even by the declining post-COVID Marriott standards.

We were in town for the funeral of our father. The staff was very accommodating and kind. It was nice to have connecting rooms. We were a big group and we wanted quick access to each other. The snow covered grounds were beautiful in the height of winter. Breakfast was good.

Great experience, the best I've had for a business trip hotel. Will soon have a renovation, which is needed as furnishings are outdated and there is currently no way to charge an electric vehicle within walking distance. Phenomenal breakfasts

Such a quaint hotel. The staff is amazing! Christopher and Michaela at the front desk are beyond helpful! They were very nice to me and my family and helped us plan our stay in Fort Collins. They are beyond the best!

Front desk was nice. Never stayed in a filthier place. Also left 3 brand new items in room that mysteriously disappeared. Talked to front desk and they said the cleaner was asian and barely spoke English so she did not steal. Unbelievable. Hairy sheets, multiple pubic hairs, etc., a pubic hair on a clean washcloth. Disgusting. Also now I have to file a police report regarding missing items.

Great place to stay, really quiet and amazing views, not to far from Downtown but far enough to not get the traffic and noise.

The staff is friendly and quick to solve any problems. The breakfast is always good. The rooms are nice, I had a fireplace in mine. There is no smoking and without a car, you aren't close to anything that was annoying. Other than that... my stay was fanatastic

I spent the entire month of October, 2022 here and found the entire premises to be immaculate. The staff courteous and helpful. Yes, the breakfast is only fair but it isn't meant to be Cracker Barrel. It does serve its purpose, which is a decent bite to eat. This is a great long-term stay, and if business warrants again, this is where I'll stay.

The following review has been dictated by my 6 year old: "Thank you for my kindergarten graduation poster and everything! In the pool, on my last day, there were three people in the pool including me, all on their last day! I love the pool, and the breakfast buffet. My favorite part was the Belgian waffles. I love the things that we did, and the hotel. A woman named Michaela vacuumed up my glass for me, and she was really nice. And thank you to Linda for organizing my graduation party. I loved the trophy, and the lollipop and the bubbles and the card that everyone signed with fireworks on it. I would stay there again but this time for three weeks instead of just two weeks and a day. I also really want to thank the woman who gave me an extra Belgian waffle yesterday even though they were not on the buffet yesterday. Also I liked the snacks at the front desk a lot. and that I could ask for them myself. And the price was 2 dollars per two weeks and one day. Comments from adult: This is really a great place especially for an extended stay. We had everything that we needed in our suite (oven, dishwasher, etc.), comfy beds, bath tub, etc. The pool is heated which meant we swam every day, and that also made it easier to accept that the hot tub is being repaired. The breakfast buffet is really a good one-- the staff are so kind and attentive and they have a great variety to please kids, adults and various diet preferences. The best part was really the staff, from maintenance and housekeeping, breakfast buffet, to the front desk. You made an annoying event (unplanned house repairs) a very pleasant experience, and especially for my son. We were there during high school and college graduation, and saw many displays related to that. So, as a suprise for my son, the front desk set up a poster (signed by everyone) and a card and some very sweet prizes when they learned that he was graduating from kindergarten. This was just so above and beyond! I have a very sweet precocious little boy and I just can't thank you enough for making his day! We will be back and will recommend to anyone who needs a place to stay in Fort Collins, especially with kids.

This hotel is old and hasn't been updated. The staff is great, but the rooms have a lot of deferred maintenance items. For example, no grout existed in the tile of either bathroom because it has all chipped out. The threshold for the carpet and fireplace was held down with drywall screws. Having said that, they keep everything clean. It is just outdated. The mattresses were not comfortable at all either, but that can happen at any brand.

Stayed here with family. We stayed in a two bedroom suite. It was pretty nice to be able to have the two rooms connected by a living room area. Overall the hotel was nice. The staff seemed very helpful and friendly. My wife and I arrived around 3 AM and the front desk person was not grumpy or anything like that. Very nice people. The room itself was clean, from what I could tell, and the bed was comfortable.
