I celebrated my wife's birthday at Louie Boss's Italian Restaurant, and while the overall experience had its ups and downs, the food certainly stood out. Our server provided good and pleasant service, setting a positive tone for the evening. However, the atmosphere was a bit chaotic due to the restaurant's busyness. Unfortunately, we were seated next to some rowdy individuals wearing shorts, dirty t-shirts, and flip-flops. It left me wishing the restaurant had some form of dress code to maintain a more refined ambiance. They were noisy and appeared to be quite intoxicated, making inappropriate remarks about passersby. But let's not allow this to overshadow the highlight of our visit—the food. My dry-aged steak was an absolute delight, with flavors that were simply to die for. My wife's pasta was equally impressive, boasting superb taste and quality. We also indulged in a charcuterie board that was a delightful accompaniment to some yummy wine. Despite the rowdy patrons and the bustling atmosphere, we left Louie Boss's with a memorable culinary experience. The exceptional food alone is enough to entice us back for another visit in the future.

If you are looking for an upscale Italian American restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, then you must try Louie Bossi’s on Las Olas. However, forewarned is forearmed! You must make a reservation, and if it’s for the weekend, make the reservation during the week! This place is ALWAYS filled with patrons, locals and tourists, alike! The cuisine here is Italian American, made fresh to order, served in a setting that feels Old World, yet modern at the same time! We sat in the garden area, covered, yet open and surrounded by greenery and fans to keep us cool. Service is outstanding!!! The food was flavorful, beautifully presented, and we enjoyed every bite. We have had the pizza in the past, and it was excellent! I must say that my risotto was as delicious as any made by my Italian mother and grandmothers. See the photos, please! As I have encouraged you before, download the Pay by Phone app as it automatically tracks where you are, puts in the section for you, and all you have to do is select the time. When in Fort Lauderdale, this place is a must do!

When your 7 year old son says "I am too full, but I wish I was not" after trying to force himself to finish his pasta, you know it's a good place... Awesome spot for some pasta! The food, atmosphere, and service is awesome. Definitely recommend making a reservation if possible, it gets really busy during dinner time. My wife and I visited Louis Bossi's about a year ago and it was amazing. Now we were in Miami and took the 45 minute trip from our hotel to have dinner again, with the kids this time. Everyone had a great time and definitely left with a full belly.

Great spot for a casual/romantic night out. Came here for a date night and definitely had a great experience here. The server was very kind and helpful. He recommended a few dishes from the menu as well as provide a very detailed description for item that we arent familiar with. The food is above average but not mind blown. Everything was very well-cooked. Recommend getting a spot outdoor as the decor and ambiance was amazing as compared to inside. The inside tend to be crowded at night and can be very packed with people.

Great outdoor brunch in the back patio. We had spaghetti, pizza and Alfredo pasta. The tiramisu was very good. Make sure to make reservations or else wait 90 minutes for a table. There are a lot of big parties celebrating, so be prepared for a noisy time. We enjoyed the atmosphere.

This restaurant is definitely one to remember. From the beginning to the end, the service from Carlos was superb, very alert, polite, and very outgoing. We had a full-course meal starting with the Carpaccio which is an ABSOLUTE recommendation to anyone visiting this gem spot. The pastas were very rich in flavor, we ordered a tomato-based and a mushroom & truffle-based. The ambiance was very cool, and active to have a couple of drinks after a long day of work. Again Carlos, fantastic service, thank you for such a wonderful time. I will be back...

I tried here the best prosciutto, was delicious, the bread was super soft but crunchy in the outside. I was waiting more from my carbonara, was just good, need more flavor on it, but good portion. The drinks was perfect, my spicy passion fruit have the perfect balance between sweetness and spicy.

Bring an empty stomach because these generous portions of absolutely delicious food seems to be all they have here. Wow. I’m from out of town/state but had 2 other friends recommend I go to Louie Bossi so I booked reservations online through google maps to make it easy. Let me just thank Morgan for making amazing recommendations on meal options and take great care of us. She really knew the menu to share favorites. We asked to speak to manager Casey to brag on how well Morgan treated us and made our experience the best. We shared to Casey we were celebrating our anniversary and that Morgan really made our night feel special and we greatly appreciated that. Casey also really went above and beyond and I can’t recommend this place enough for all my friends, family and followers to be sure to visit. Rigatoni Bolognese was so delicious and easily a crowd favorite. This place really reminded me of being in Italy.

The 2 best things were our server's sense of humor and the atmosphere. We enjoyed the club music. We had a nice appetizer platter that had a large variety-olives, cheese and almonds, slightly over cooked calamari, pizza crust, ricotta and prosciutto. Part of our group was late, but ordered a few minutes after the rest of us. It took and hour for the food, AFTER we ordered. 2 steaks, 2 pizza, 3 pasta. The steak eaters were not happy, and my pasta was very dense. The pizza looked good.

They have long waiting times and are very busy because they are probably the best value for the money on that street. The food is great, the vibe is right, and it makes for a great evening out with friends. I really appreciate the kitchen manages to serve the entire table at the same time, so we all can eat together.

Really great Italian restaurant with delicious flavors and ambiance. The space is huge with outdoor seating in the front and open courtyard in the back. The bread was fresh and hot when brought to your table. I ordered the capellini e calamari which was excellent and the spicy marinara with calamari a peppers hit the spot. It was packed on a Saturday night but our server Mia was friendly and prompt. If you want to enjoy a nice dinner then this place is for you. Perfect for a family or date night.

When you step into a restaurant late on a Monday night and they are full there nust be something good going on. Mondays are half price martini nights. They also have great food to boot. Fresh pastas, pizzas, and salads. A unique environment lots of outdoor seating front and back, besides indoor seating. The drinks were delicious and fresh food. Enjoyed our meal thoroughly.

Happy hour is $2. Off all drinks only at the bar, and half price for all pizza also only at the bar. Food and service were excellent! I would definitely come here again next time I am in town. Olives from the olive and cheese appetizer had no flavor, I should have asked for a refund. Pizza was excellent!

This is only the second 5 star I've ever given, the other was a BBQ place in TX. They have a wood fired oven, they make their cured meats in house, they import all of their ingredients from Italy.....all. The biggest problem you will have is what to choose (also probably getting a seat, make a reservation). Open kitchen experience with amazing food. They have a dedicated person that their only job is to make the salads, the same with the charcuterie boards, and the deserts. All made to order, trust me I sat at the bar so I could watch the kitchen. Probably the best Italian that I've had. If your dissapointed with your dining experience, its a you problem...not a them problem. The pictures are the Calamari A La Plancha, Charcuterie with prosciutto, Rigatoni, and the lasagne.

What a great place! Love that the entire place gives you a feeling that you're outside but it's covered. It's super lively in the space. The hosts and staff are super nice and accommodating, we had two separate RSVPs that we were able to combine, definitely make RSVP ahead of time! I'm normally not big on Italian food but, they have the best pizza. They have these in house oils that's are fantastic! Especially the spicy Louis sauce. No one can beat $17 unlimited drinks during brunch and they keep them coming I think that's the best deal in south Florida. Everything is homemade which makes it taste so fresh and delicious. If you're looking for a great time with friends, great fast service, and Italian home style food this is it. Highly recommend 👌

Wow I am going to tell everyone about this place. Truly feels like an "institution" in the food culture where you gotta visit and keep coming back to. Server was a true professional, great food, great drinks, extensive wine list in a fun environment with great vibe. The back yard patio is so charming to see. There are paid parking lots in back.

Amazing restaurant. My boyfriend and I rarely go to the same place twice when we travel and we came here 3 times during our 10 day trip. Food was great and drinks too. Service is awesome and everyone we had was very friendly. 10/10 recommend. Calamari was great and we had Margarita D.O.P, quattro carné and pinccante. Margarita was my favourite but they were all really good.

One of my favorite spots in SoFla. Great Brunch, cocktails and Dinners at this place over the years. Highly recommend it. * * * Update 08/20/2023 I just enjoyed a wonderful meal at this restaurant once again. But this time I ordered a to go pizza and asked for some toppings. I was bewildered to find that when they check came (see photo) they charged $7.50 per topping. Let’s put this in perspective, their Coccoli Fritto (one of my family’s favorite appetizers) is priced at $11.50 (just $4 more). So you’re telling me that your Ricotta, Dough and Prosciutto are worth just four bucks more. Look I get it, we’re in Downtown Fort Lauderdale Las Olas, but $7.50 for a couple of pieces of pepperoni on a personal sized pizza is outright ludicrous. So my point is this, yes, I’d buy the pizza but never again with toppings because for what they charge for two toppings you might as well order another pie and stop at Publix and pick up some top notch pepperoni and put it on yourself when you warm it up at home. It’s NOT about the money, it’s about the insanity of charging $7.50 for a topping from a principle standpoint alone. Soon they’ll start telling us that a drink 🥃 is $10 but it’s an extra $10 for ice if we want it cold. We can blame inflation all we want for these things but you know it’s plainly greed. It’s disappointing because the community (my family, friends and coworkers included) really has stood by this establishment through COVID and all that and this isn’t reflective of appreciation for that.

Short version: fantastic food, great ambience & service! My favorite restaurant in Las Olas. Long version: I always have a fantastic experience here. It’s my go-to spot whenever I am near Las Olas. I always get their arancini to start, and pizza for my entree but this time I tried their seafood risotto and it was delicious! I also tried some of my husband’s pasta (he got a white based pasta with chicken) and it was also very good. You really can’t go wrong with anything here. The service is also great. The servers and bartenders are very attentive and know how to give great suggestions if you’re in doubt of a food or drink. The garden is my favorite place to sit, it’s just so beautiful there. But anywhere that you sit at the restaurant, it will be great!

Yum!!! This place was packed!!! We had a big group of 9 and they split us up in two tables so we could get in. Which is totally fine. My table got plates to all share. The “salads” are not really salads 🥗 . They’re more like small plates of 🧀 cheese. Not what I was looking for… lol. Calamari was amazing. But the actual dinners were great. Unfortunately I’m not exactly sure what we ordered but I think it was the sausage rigatoni and the seafood spaghetti plate thing 🍝🦐- those were amazing, top contenders. The last plate, some light colored pasta was lacking for us. No meat and just wasn’t that great. Cute place except the place was also playing like club music… not the vibe for a restaurant so that felt weird. Overall would come back!

Top to bottom great experience here. From the food to the environment. First class touch. Everyone there are detailed, timely and organized with professional service. Love eating at places like this where people take pride in providing a great dining experience. Alex and Jillian were superb!! Friends set the bar and Louie Bossi delivered!

Nice cozy place, wonderful food and great service. We visited with the kids on the back terrace for lunch and everyone loved it. Pizza with the pear turned out to be the great starter and then we enjoyed long and short pastas. Their prosciutto is so good. I recommend trying the strawberry basil martini as a light cocktail. It is a little expensive but it is worth it.

Never a bad experience when I get a chance to get a seat. Very busy spot so plan ahead. They do have tables that don’t require a reservation but again always filled. Yet it is WORTH IT! Very good food. Everything from scratch and just great ambiance when you are there. Love the old photos on the way to the bathroom. Always something fun to look at. Drinks are very delicious. Over all a must if you live Italian food.

Absolutely one of my favorites! We went here for Valentine's Day and had a wonderful time. The drinks were strong and delicious. The food was amazing as usual. I was a little undecided on what to get but they had a Pazzesco (hopefully I'm spelling that right) dish that had a variety of pastas and a sauce with multiple proteins. It was fantastic!

Louie Bossi Ristorante. Busy. Other eateries were empty at the time. Stopped by for cena. Unique ambiance and decor. Convenient location. Service is slow to get to you. Noisy inside. Difficult to have a conversation. This restaurant seems intent on packing as many people as possible at the expense of the dining experience. Seating is cramped in most spaces. A host will seat you. Another member takes your beverage request. Finally, your server arrives. Warning...the menu is overwhelming. Many choices. Too many! Do your homework before arriving so you know what you will be ordering. If you have questions, again, having a conversation with the server will be difficult. Appetizers....had Octopus and Pane All'Aglio. The Octopus plate had 3 tiny pieces of Octopus. Plenty of Potatoes, Peppers, Olives and garnish though. We were asked by the server if this was our first visit. Bread is complimentary, but only if you ask. Our main course of Ravioli and other pastas were delicious and amply sized. Overpriced.

Food - my guest said was great. Service, she was nice but seemed overwhelmed. It would have been better if they had assigned 2 ppl for large parties. I paid for bottomless mimosas and, in 2 hrs, only had 2 cups. Atmosphere - i picked this location bcs I was hosting a themed brunch for my bday. I loved how everyone in attendance looked as though they enjoyed our decor and crowd.

The service was impeccable even tho we came during Easter our server was so attentive and nice. I would recommend ordering any of the pastas since they make it in house. I will definitely be returning!

Great atmosphere and food. The menu has too many delicious items to choose from. The staff are always friendly and attentive. The drinks are well crafted. My wife and I enjoyed our food and watch in awe the numerous staff members diligently working like a well oiled machine. I can’t wait to return.

Fabulous, Fabulous! The food is authentic Italian made in house. The staff was wonderful. We got there early, so there wasn't a wait, but by the end of dinner, the place was packed. Prices were very reasonable. Full bar if you desire.

Lunch on Thursday with their classic Italian sausage and pepper panini. Awesome. Great atmosphere for 1 or a group. Right on Las Olas Avenue perfect for socializing. Don’t miss their excellent Rose All Day Brunch (Sunday)

My favorite seating area is outside in the garden, they have a beautiful and charming decoration, mixed with rustic features, romantic ambient lights and green foliage. Their food is delicious, the pizza was delicious. I had a margarita but was impressed at all, it was just sour and didn't taste like a mixed drink (like the bartender forgot an ingredient), I just let it slip as I was having fun and everything else was delicious. There is actual parking on the back of the restaurant, I had no clue and pay for street parking but in the future I'll rather park on the back since is easier, closer and free.

Had such a great time at Louie Bossi’s for Martini Monday! Half price Martinis… you can’t beat that! You also can’t beat the bartender serving them! Chris was awesome and super helpful with the menu! He had a great attitude and made us feel so welcome! Definitely will be back for Chris!…oh and the Martinis!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! We plan our entire trip to Florida on visiting Louie Bossi's at least once, more than once if we can! The service is always amazing, the food never disappoints, and the cocktails are incredible. They have a very unique atmosphere that is unlike anywhere else I've experienced. Even though they were extremely busy on our last visit, Desiree made sure we were taken care of (the hostess of the century, really) and YB was very attentive and never let our drinks run dry. We already can't wait to go back!

Ate here last night - great atmosphere, really helpful server (Mick) took the time to explain some of the cured meats. Had delicious garlic bread with ricotta, then both ended up having the mist delicious pizzas we have eaten! Will definitely be back.

OUR FAVORITE PLACE IN FORT LAUDERDALE BY FAR. This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The waiter, Carlos, delivered the best service and personalized our dinner — he was always checking in and making us feel special. The environment was very Italian and the food was incredible. Our favorite was the Rigatoni Alla Bolognese. It was expensive but totally worth it! Definitely coming here whenever we are in town.

I was so pleasantly surprised from the atmosphere and vibe of this place! The back of the restaurant is like a beautiful Italian garden! The portions were big and the appetizers were delicious! Great place to celebrate a birthday! The food was was high quality and the service was great! It was on the pricy side however. I think we spent over 150+ per person for food and drinks but it was worth it.

  • 5/5 Sandra S. 1 year ago on Google
This place has a long wait but well worth it!! We sat at the bar and got waited on fairly quickly. The bartender was excellent and he took our order and took very good care of us! We ordered a couple of pizzas and a spaghetti dish which was superb!!! I normally hate extremely crowded places but the excellent food made it tolerable. This is certainly a place you should visit if you are in the Las Olas locale. Las Olas is my new South Beach. It is much more sophisticated and caters to a more upscale crowd.

Service is great. Atmosphere is great. Parking is a challenge. The outdoor seating looks festive. Most of the food is good but the spaghetti was soft. What Italian restaurant serves pasta that isn’t Al dente? Bread is important to me. They need to put it on the oven and crisp it up before serving it.

Amazing Italian restaurant in the heart of Boca. Great food. Staff is very friendly with good knowledge of the food and drinks. Everything was very fresh and well prepared. Seafood risotto was my favorite. The sample desert was a miracle. Little In expensive side but well worth it. Seating was very comfortable to. Definitely you should try if you’re around.

Gorgeous restaurant with stellar food, and service to match. I highly recommend the Martini Mondays when you can try their brilliantly shaken Martinis at half off; they were all amazing, even the cucumber martini was surprisingly delicious. Our server also recommended an appetizer sampler that included most individual appetizers so we can all share and try them instead of ordering multiple, and it was well worth it because it was delicious and everyone got what they wanted. The dishes are a bit pricey, but given how everything is made from scratch, and the more than decent portion sizes, it was well worth it for a special night out. As amazing as the pasta is, I found the pizza even better. Their breads in general are just something else. This is the kind of place, that no matter how picky you are, you'll like everything here just because they make it so well. The decor is vibrant all around, and the outdoor seating surrounded by greenery is my favorite area. It's great restaurant overall, and the best way to visit is with a reservation.

Amazing food does not begin to describe the taste of each dish here. We ordered the pane aglio and it was divine followed by large portions of food which was filled with yummy meats and pastas. Service was on point with the right amount of care and leaving us to talk. Highly recommend!

This was my first time here. We made reservations to celebrate my husband’s & son’s girlfriend birthday as well. Located off Las Olas Blvd, such a neat place. The food was delicious! Unfortunately, the service however was sub par. Everyone had their food accept for me, the brought out the wrong dish. I finally got mine when everyone was done. They comped my meal which was the right thing to do. I will definitely come back again for the food, hopefully the service will be better. I would definitely recommend this place for sure if you love Italian food.
