For starters, this place has a really unique menu -- I can't say I've seen an Italian/Aregentinian mix anywhere else before, and several dishes caught my eyes. Our server was awesome and very helpful/insightful. The pistachio crusted salmon was amazing -- perfectly cooked salmon and that smooth squash was a perfect pairing. The pasta rustico sauce had a good balance of richness and lightness, and it was an all-around good dish. I'm in love with their dessert menu. I wanted to try everything, but guess I'll have to come back for more. There's several "famous" dishes here, from the raviolis to the desserts. Alfio's is a lovable spot for a nice occasion, and they get my recommendation!

Holy MOLY! Best food my husband and I have ever had. And best dessert. Seriously mind-blowing. I got the seafood fettuccine with a side of 1 mushroom ravioli, husband got the salmon and dessert was brown butter cheesecake. The flavors are so complex. This is our new favorite! The service by Sarah was excellent too! She walked us through the menu and made outstanding recommendations.

The hostess was so pleasant and friendly. She seated my son and me in a cute alcove that was so comfortable! Our waitress, Coco, was incredible! She knew everything about the menu and brought the sommelier over when I asked about a "spicy " wine. He proceeded to bring 3 wines to taste!! How wonderful. I was completely overwhelmed with friendliness. I felt taken care of!! Then, Chef brought a freshly made app because mine was lost..and the sommelier brought a special gift as well. They really take care of their guests here. I will go back a million times! My entree was soon delicious!!

Had a lovely date night at this quaint beautiful restaurant. The staff was very attentive, the drinks were amazing, empanadas awesome, salad (you gotta have the strawberry and fried goat cheese), and we shared two ravioli duos (short rib and wild mushroom and lobster and crab and the Angus and give cheese). What could top this off? Their signature coffee and chocolate moda antica cake was but far one of the best desserts I've had. Cheers to Alfio! Excellent!

Fantastic as always! Empanadas were perfect! Lamb Chops were delicious and the braised short ribs were amazing! Dessert was excellent but I want more short ribs! Can't wait til next time!

Been here several times and never disappoints. Food is fabulous and service is absolutely outstanding. Get the empanadas- so good. My go to is the short rib ravioli but they're all delicious. I recommend this place to everyone. It's thar good!

Very nice atmosphere. Extremely comfortable chairs. Service was impeccable. Food was good. A few bites of the steak were grisly. Empenadas had a good flavor. Parking was a little hard to find so come a few minutes early. They told us Michigan was your best bet. They have some very interesting pasta dishes I would be interested in trying next time. Would recommend. In a very cute area.

The professionalism and attention to detail was so refreshing! The portions were perfect and perfect for ordering many things for the table to share. Yes the food and the reviews are as good as they say. The beet salad was the overall favorite, I contemplated getting another for us at the end if we kept chatting. They were incredibly gracious to my tired kids and if I know anyone visiting Cincinnati, I will surely recommend Alfio’s!

This place is a Cincinnati gem with the character and history to ensure you have an incredible experience. Our server clearly loved the food and her recommendations from the wine to dessert were tailored and perfect. I could feel that this restaurant has been a labor of love from the service to the INCREDIBLE food and the empanadas, decadent tiramisu, and mouth-watering mussels were so good I could’ve cried and honestly I did- IT IS THAT GOOD!!! RUN do not walk to this restaurant!

We had a dinner reservation for Saturday evening. We showed up a little early, so we ordered a drink (great bourbon/wine selection) prior to being seated. We started with a bottle of Malbec and the empanadas. For the main course we ordered the short rib/gnocchi and the skirt steak. Both were fantastic!! We ended with the apple bread pudding and the chocolate moda antica cake (took home, lol!). Excellent food, service and atmosphere!! Highly recommended!

We decided to try Alfio's after it being highly recommended by a friend. The food was incredible! Our Dining Captain Allison was so friendly and knowledgeable. We also had the empanadas and risotto balls, but unfortunately they didn't last long enough to take a picture 😂 We will definitely be going back very soon!

Absolutely was some of the best food I have experienced hands down! Euphoric is the most appropriate word to describe the duck bacon pasta. I had to stop myself about a third into the meal to make sure I had seconds and thirds at home. I can also attest that it was good reheated. Service was tremendous as well. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Gave their pics and pointed out menu items that may satiate a particular taste. Atmosphere is exactly what you would hope for. Perfect lighting, distancing and volume level.

Service was great, everyone was kind and attentive. We got the center cut filet and risotto. Steak was quite perfect but the chicken with the risotto was bland. We also enjoyed the empanadas - some unexpected but yummy combinations. Overall a good experience, but not exceptional.

My wife and I made our first visit to Alfio's for our 35th Anniversary. We were not disappointed. Our server Coco made us feel right at home and provided excellent recommendations based on our menu questions. The lamb chops and pistachio crusted salmon were both outstanding. We will definitely return to work our way through the rest of the menu items.

Excellent food!! So many great options, we all had trouble choosing. Warm lighting, low ceilings, and rich decor make for a cozy, romantic atmosphere. A perfect place for a celebration or an intimate date night. The Short Rib Gnocchi (omg the truffle sauce!) and the Brown Sugar Goat Cheese Cheesecake are my personal "can't miss" menu items!

Best Italian we’ve had in the Cinci area. The mushroom and crab/lobster ravioli were both super tasty. The pear and fig salad was bursting with a variety of flavors (the truffle dressing was a nice touch). We also ordered a side of fresh bread and were impressed by the bread quality. Everything was fresh and high quality. Service was great as well. We’ll definitely be back!

We have been going to Alfio’s for just over a year now, and we continue to believe this is the best restaurant in town. Everyone from the area needs to experience this place. From the unparalleled knowledge of the bartenders and sommes to the attention to detail of all of the wait staff, everything is just about damn perfect. Everything the kitchen makes is just fantastic, and everyone here seems to genuinely enjoy working at this restaurant. We recently had a dinner before our wedding with close friends and family, and the staff took care of us and made the night extremely special. Whether you are going to a big wine dinner or small bourbon dinner, or just ordering off the normal menu, you can’t go wrong. Do yourself a favor and give Alfio’s a try. The picture are from some of the meals we have had there over the past year. Don’t let the portion size fool you, most are from the 5 to 7 course dinners. As Alfio told us… “if you walk out of here hungry, my grandmother would slap me.”

Food needs more seasoning. I had the new York strip with mashed potatoes and long stem broccolini. My friend had chicken parm. Also tried the hibiscus 🌺 margarita which was good (pink drink)👍🏼. The empanadas were amazing!
