If you're tastebuds have headed south after Covid-19 then this is your place. If your over 60 and bland food is what the doctor recommends then this is your place. If you hate crowded restaurants with sports on multiple screens then this is your place. If you don't fall into any of these categories then go somewhere else.

The cashier (Ebonee) that is working today 5/29 at 1:45pm is beyond rude and ran my card multiple times only to intentionally cancel it out. When I told her it won’t work like that she got huffy that I was insinuating she doesn’t know how to do her job. (News flash-she doesn’t) she then rudely shuffled my food tray to the side along with my handicapped mothers and father’s , not once offering to help us carry it to the table or even asking a coworker to help. I thought it was very interesting out how offered to help every other African American family but not my white older parents! Racist or ageist-choose one! The manager refused to give me a refund on the duplicate transaction that went thru and does not care how her team runs the line. the manager couldn’t even make eye contact or care that we received abhorrent service! Horrible lack of customer service!! Do not come here!! They are rude and steal from you! I will be canceling BOTH transactions on my card. They don’t deserve my money or anyone else’s!!

Nostalgia on a plate. My elderly mother was disappointed that they didn't have salmon croquettes, but we both got stuff we liked. She got the classic Luann platter with fried fish and I got the chicken fried steak with country gravy. Staff on the line was fantastic (!) but the cashier was only there on body, her mind was elsewhere. Meh. But those buttery rolls are hot and perfect. So glad this is open since most have closed permanently. We went per my mom's request because she doesn't have any Luby's by her. They all closed in her town. Nice nostalgic supper with mother for day after Christmas. Will definitely return. It really takes me back. I'm over 50 and I think it's nice to see something that hasn't changed in many decades.

My friend and went to eat around 2 ish. He ordered the chicken fried steak, brown gravy, green beans, seasoned rice and a drink. I ordered chicken fried steak, white gravy, fried cauliflower, roll, mashed potatoes with white gravy and a drink. Where should I start. Our chicken fried steak was like warm. The gravy was hot. The green beans was COLD, The rice WAS COLD. The mashed potatoeswith white gravy was like warm. The cauliflower was COLD COLD, I told the waiter he said well do you want me to warm it up. Yes, he did warm up the cauliflower. I will never recommend this place to anyone. The best part was the ice it was ice.

I came here on a suggestion from a co-worker and it's the first time I've been here in years! WOW! I came at 11:30am on a Monday and the food was super fresh still coming on the line while I was ordering. The service was excellent and I felt very welcome here post-pandemic. They start with salads, choice of meats (grilled, fried, or broiled), then 2 sides, bread, and choice of dessert, if desired. The dining room was clean but I ordered to go. They also give a military discount so thank you Luby's for supporting your military!

I love Luby's. When I was growing up this was a after church ritual for family time. Things have changed since then. The food is still good. Pandemic rules apply to all who enter the doors. The staff is friendly and pleasant to customers and very helpful to seniors and special needs citizens. Come out and show your support for this business before it is no longer in existence. This is a sit down with your family eat, talk and enjoy one another tradition that we should not take for granted. Times are changing and this may one day be a thing of the past that we wish we could have kept going. Being able to go in and have a full family like, homemade from scratch meal. Give them a visit.

5 star for my lunch experience. Never had dinner there. However the price isn't as cheap as I thought.

First off I want to say that I love Lubys and the food from this location is delicious, but I always get my food to go. In the past year, I have ordered food to go prob 30 times or more and only ONCE has it been right. My husband brought me food again tonight and for the millionth time I am missing a side. If they occasionally got my order wrong I would understand, but it is literally every single time. I finally have had enough. Please do a better job preparing to go orders. If y'all can get my order right at least 3x in a row I may consider changing my review. I mean I pay for these sides! I have literally lost money to y'all cause you never give me my food.

Definitely the best Lubys currently open by far. Amazing sides and really nice staff. The Mac and cheese was so creamy and the sautéed cabbage was perfectly seasoned and still slightly crispy and sweet with bits of flavorful bacon. Please support this Texas institution.

Enjoyed my baked chicken; the best I've had in a long time. I also like that they serve quality food and there's hardly any waiting (buffet).

This is one of my Favorite places for lunch or dinner! This year I decided not to cook for Thanksgiving Day so I placed an order online for our Traditional Thanksgiving Day Dinner. The online ordering process was pretty simple and self explanatory with the option for add-ons. Finally the big day gets here "Thanksgiving Day" and time for my Girlfriend and I to go pick up our order. We walk in to the designated area at Luby's and let the staff know that we are there for an online order. A staff member brings us our order and goes over it with us to make sure everything is in order and immediately I see our order is incorrect. The employee makes the corrections needed for our order and we head home thinking everything is in order and correct, as we start unpacking our food items we realize that we didn't get mashed potatoes packed in our meal so we head back to Luby's to pick up the missing item. The staff was very helpful and gave me the missing item. As I was about to drive out I also realize that I was not given my sweet tea when I initially picked up my order, so I go back again into the restaurant and explained the situation to one of the staff members and they got it for me as well. Finally we get home and warm our meal up and as we are setting up our table I see my Girlfriend opening a can of cranberry sauce and I ask her, " did we not have cranberry sauce packed in with our meal?" I then take another look at our online order to realize that we were supposed to have gotten 1 qt of cranberry sauce with our meal. By this time we were ready to eat so i just disregarded the inaccuracy. At the end of the day the meal was great! it was quite a bit of running around to get the items that we were short and to my perception it seems that Luby's could have been a little bit more prepared for this day even though I should have double checked my order too. Regardless Luby's is still one of my Fav's

Little experience. Knowing we had kids didn't tell us about the kid special so are kids wasted alot of food that they didn't eat. Some of it we ate. And I'm not a wistfully person so we ate what we could. Staff friendly, funny, welcoming.

We have been visiting this location since 09. Wonderful food and a quiet atmosphere. Great place to take kids to teach manners and how to eat in public.

I have been to this place maybe 3 times out of 6 years. Today was my last. My husban warned me before I went, but I went anyway. The black lady with the short blond colored hair was very rude along with the other young black woman. The blond colored hair woman said she did not fix the plate. I guess I reached behind the counter, got a carry out container and fixed it myself. The white worker tried to tell her she fixed it, she would not here it. So the two rude workers went in back to talk about it some more.I found them to be ruled to the worker who was trying to tell them what happened as well. The gentlemen ringing up the food was noce. On my way out the door, I saw so many dead crickets that shocked me. Next time I will listen to my husband.

Food was ok. Chicken could have been fried harder but that's just me. White beans was good. Chicken rice soup was a little salty. Server very attentive to needs.

It's been thirty years since I visited this particular location. The quality of the food was cold and tasteless with fewer entree choices. Some of the workers were involved in their own conversations while the dining areas carpet seemed dirty and the rooms lighting was not brightly lit. The entire meal was not worth mentioning. Only bright spot was the dining room server who over saw to our needs and request in courteous and prompt service....one more thing..need to have better washed utensils...smudges

Overall it's a nice place to eat except when I got to the cashier. The cashier came to work with an attitude. My husband and I are vegetarians and we don't eat meat she looked at us and said is that all you're getting are vegetables. First of all was none of her business all she was there was to ring it up nothing else. My husband asked if they gave a military discount she seemed not to have the common sense to know it's on the driver's license now when my husband showed her. If I had to only deal with her I would never come back there to eat again she needs some lessons in the customer service. Everyone else there was warm and friendly and act very nice except the cashier
