This was definitely a highlight of my visit to Foz Iguaçu. The infrastructure of the facility was international level, and the tour guide was very well informed. I recommend booking online in advance if you want to visit the animal sanctuary, as it’s only available to visit via guided tour and the slots can fill up fast if you don’t book ahead. Lots of interesting Brazilian animals to see, and the majority of them have been rescued because they were injured or trafficked. I also really enjoyed this because it was less “touristy“ then other animal parks in the city. If you want to do something a little bit different, get to see some beautiful animals and spend a few hours in the forest, then I highly recommend this.

Very Nice imersion to Brazilian animals. You can be inside the jail with diverse birds and see the black puma through window. It is like you are in a zoo with small quantities of animals but you can see them really close

Amazing experience, the ability to see so many animals in a state as near their natural habitat as possible. Most of the animals taken in are injured or sick, when they are recuperated and released into the wild, but some (10 or 15%, I can't remember) are unable to survive on their own, so they are kept in this preserve to care for them and give them the best life possible. Our guide, Fernando, was patient with my extremely inquisitive 7-yr old and translated the tour into Spanish for us. The black jaguar was so beautiful and we were delighted to learn that she is likely pregnant, the guide said gestation is 90 days, so watch for a baby jaguar in a few months!

The jaguars are not there apparently, still their website do not mention to keep the propaganda.I was tather disappointed! It was a short touristy walk throu some woods with some caged animals .many were just going around n around .thats a sign tht are NOT doing well caged
