Lovely kept Museum within the original bunkers. Lots of recreated rooms teaching about the station in particular and radar technology in general. Good parking, friendly staff, toilets and a very small shop.

My first visit to the German radar system. The museum is run by volunteers and are happy to talk about the displays. Well worth a visit.

Great little museum and worth a visit especially if you are interested in early radar technology with an interesting display in what was the main bunker on site of the very beginning of the invention of radar on and up to the present day. Also has a good display of how the control bunker would have looked on D day itself very interesting recommend a visit.

a hidden gem in Normandy. Radar played a critical role in World War II. this museum is located in a real radar station built by Nazi during World War II. Le mure de Atlantique. the war was fierceless and detecting enemy aircraft was really important for the Nazi. we got a long way to reach tiny radar we use today. it is also about the frequency. as a radar enthusiast, this museum was really enjoyable for me

A very interesting museum of late second World War history. I was not aware that the Germans had such sophisticated equipment, having always been told that Britain’s radar was superior, well worth a visit.

Awesome guided visit and a great dive in the days surrounding D day from the perspective of a German radar station. The station has been rebuilt with mannequins of german radar officers and you can see in real life how the bunker worked and how they got misled by the Allies faking naval activity far away from Normandy way up in the Channel.

You need to speak French. The contents of the museum seem to hold an impressive story - so much promise - but the translations for an English or German speaker are poor. Each display has a German and English translation but they are short and lacking detail. I got the English Audioguide and the helpful ticket sales person set it up on my phone. Unfortunately The description of a room or a technology is brief. During my visit I met a (free) guided tour. It was in french so I could understand only a fraction of what was being said but clearly it was impressively informative. The guide would spend up to 20min in an area and kept the audience’s full attention. My audio guide for that area was finished in about 20 seconds. I think it would have been an impressive museum, but the history of this British / German technology is dekivered for French speakers.

Kleines wenig frequentieres Museum.

LG

This is the german equivalent of the underground operations room at HQ fighter command (part of the Dowding system). Particularly, the reconstruction of the automated projection of radar signals onto a glass table (from below) is astonishing. Totally worth a visit!

Awesome little museum, very detailed without being too overwhelming. Very reasonably priced, staffed by volunteers who are really nice and friendly. Great exhibits and static displays. Highly recommend seeing!

This was a great surprise visiting here as I only expected to see a point of interest with little to look at. Having visited several D-Day sites, it was a last minute decision to drop in and see this place on the way home as a friend's father had been in the area during WWII. Now I realise we should have popped in earlier on our trip and spent more time as it's a fantastic little site. Fairly discreet but once you're in and getting a tour, it's fascinating! You soon learn that it was in fact a very important complex as did the Allies when they discovered what was actually there in terms of technology. Worth a visit.

Excellent museum experience. So Much to see and learn, five hours well spent. The must see D Day radar facility. Many thanks to the volunteers who restored and maintain the site.

Excellent museum on a historical site with various radars and bunkers full of interesting exhibits. The story of radar and its use in WW2 (and beyond) is well told. Highly recommended and worth visiting if in the area.

This is such an amazing hidden gem of a museum! Nowhere else in the world will you be able to see up close a complete radar station, including the bunkers and associated infrastructure. The staff are volunteer, knowledgeable and super helpful for understanding how it all worked in the context of the war. If you're in the area, I highly recommend a visit to this well curated and off the beaten path museum!

A great hidden gem on the Normandy museum circuit devoted to the history of radar. The staff were friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable. I did the tour using an Android app that guided you from station to station - a few teething problems, but it did the job. The museum is well worth a visit.

Interesting and captivating. The museum is fascinating and has many things to engage your feelings. We take Radar as a given identity, but this was new technology in WWll. Very pleased I went.

We put this off a bit as it's not the most glamorous of the sites of d day but we were very surprised! It's well worth a visit. The men who own it are extremely passionate interesting and helpful! They speak english aswell. Video of eyewitnesses in first bunker is incredible! My kids enjoyed it . Lovely visit in a beautifully kept museum....credit to the men running it .

Oh I loved it so much. Amazing to see how advanced the German technology was, at that time. The guide was very friendly, took time to have an informative conversation.
