A giant cathedral which will stone you just by looking at its beauty on the outside. When you go inside the cathedral, a nice and peaceful atmosphere of historical and cultural (and religious) scenes will surely make you agree that this place is a remarkable stop on your trip to the region.

One of the key tourist points of Orleans. I suggest going there during the mass since the organ is heavenly.

Such an amazing, beautiful, magnificent cathedral which rich history written on stained glasses, craved in stones for centuries to tell their stories. Was luckily to have the chance to witnessed their Friday session to enjoy the beauty of songs echoing within the Cathedral. A must see when you're in this area!

The place is iconic, starting with the detailed colorful glass windows that speak to us about history to the ancient roofs witnessing all the holy events happened beneath them, the smell of the floor and the warmth of the booths. It is beautiful day and night, from the inside and the outside.

One of the 5 largest Gothic cathedrals in France (140 m long, 53 m wide with a tower culminating at 106 m), Sainte-Croix was started in 1287 and officially inaugurated on May 8, 1829. I had the pleasure of attending a religious wedding during the visit and listen to organ music. such a privilege to have been married in this basilica! . the basilica has an interesting story. if you know something about architecture you will discover through many architectural details a gothic church but built in 1829. "Sainte-Croix Cathedral is one of the few churches, and perhaps the only one in the world, whose pillars do not bear a cross, reminiscent of the sanctification of any church. he had a vision while celebrating the ritual of consecration: he saw the hand of God blessing the cathedral, then he stopped the celebration by saying, “This cathedral has been blessed by the hand of God, it will not be by the hand of man!” The keystone of the night reminds me of this story. The Cathédrale Sainte-Croix d’Orléans is a truly lovely and magnificent place. The high ceilings are beautiful with hidden things imbedded. The stained glass is great and the whole place is awe inspiring. A lovely cathedral and must see when in Orleans.

Historic, picturesque cathedral. Only drawback is being a bit hounded by people asking for money on your way in and out. But the peace of this place is well worth the time. Detailed stained-glass windows and a calm nearly eery feeling in the building that somehow transports you back to the quest of the courageous Joan of Arc.

A HUGE Cathedral in Orleans with a very rich history. There are many stained glass windows dedicated to the story of Joan de Arc. This is bigger than a normal church size and there are multiple big areas where you can sit, i.e., multiple large spaces for mass, and smaller spaces for prayers. It is also like a mini museum - the stories of past saints along with relevant paintings is displayed here. One can easily spend 1-1.5 hours here. This looks very similar to Notre Dame church with the flower ornament windows. It is in the Orleans city center so it is hard to miss. Right in front of Hotel Groslot.

One of many beautiful French Cathedrals. We did a short, self-guided visit during the week in June. Bonus: No crowds! Free entry.

The Gothic-style building, resonating with the spirit of the Middle Ages, exudes a sacred and majestic presence. As you open the doors, you are greeted by soaring ceilings and stunning stained glass windows depicting the life of Joan of Arc, leaving you in awe.

An awesome cathedral, real masterpiece of gothic architecture. It was completed in the 18th century so it is very well preserved. The whole area around the cathedral is one beautiful architectural ensemble in classical style, made of white stone the same color as the cathedral.

One of the most beautiful Cathedrals i've ever visited. Is wide and high and its lead glass were very nice. also a good cool place to hide a bit from the sun during hot days. on top of that it is ofcourse free. If you are in the city it is a must visit.

This is a beautiful cathedral with an amazing tribute to Joan of Arc and her companions. In fact, all of Orleans is a mix of modern, chic fashion and medieval tribute to the maiden of Lorraine (Joan), who helped defend the town from English aggression in the fifteenth century. This is definitely a great day trip for any tourist staying in Paris.

Very nice cathedral to visit. Looks like it had some damage from WWII. But the building has held up well. It's interesting to see houses of faith built during an epoch when faith was such an important consideration. These churches are always so eye-catching, and this one is no exception. The interior artwork is exceptional. The organs are amazing. It is also interesting to see banners from noble families hanging on the columns.

Orléans is a wonderfully historic place with a beautifully preserved old town. The cathedral is a monument without equal. If you like Notre Dame, you will love the Cathedral of Orléans! This huge building impresses with its almost infinitely large rooms and a historically interesting exhibition. Nice trip if one Paris becomes too much.

Beautiful cathedral. Full of history. Welcoming. Open doors all day. In the summer a Lightshow is projected onto the building in the evenings.

Very nice and impressive cathedral. Can be assessed free of charge and not extremely busy. Very well restored interior and exterior. Nice organ playing going on when I visited it, which was really enchanting. A car park is very close by. Really convenient.

Epic gothic cathedral with a lot of spectactular details! (note: during COVID it appeara to be closed, there was no entrance available! If you’re in the area it’s still worth checking out from the outside though!)

This Cathedral is maybe the main symbol of this city, the city of Giovanna D'arco and the simbol of resistance in France. The Cathedral is quite big and very cool from outside, while inside the isn't so much to see. In any case, if you are visiting Orlean you must come and visit it.

A really big and impressive church. It contains a lot of royal and noble families flags, they look pretty cool. What I think it's nicer is the fact that they illuminate it in blue after 9 o'clock in the evening and they hold an adoration moment with songs and prayers.
