We
visited
in
a
motorhome
so
parked
in
the
bus
carpark
across
from
the
train
carpark
with
other
motorhomes.
The
train
to
the
top
is
just
3mins
walk
away.
The
walk
to
the
top
is
6km
and
90mins
up
the
south
side
which
is
the
most
popular
route.
The
route
down
the
back,
north
side
is
also
6km
in
90mins.
The
south
side
is
uphill
all
the
way
with
a
wide
path
of
gravel
and
some
stones.
The
south
side
starts
with
road
beside
the
railway
track,
then
a
timber
stairs
and
then
into
a
wide
trail
of
gravel.
The
visit
to
the
top
is
well
worth
it.
We
stopped
for
coffee
and
cake
which
was
priced
ok
for
where
it
was.
Plenty
to
see
and
do
with
the
kids
and
the
views
are
stunning.
Make
sure
it's
a
clear
day
when
you
visit.
It
rained
as
we
walked
up
and
could
not
see
a
thing.
Fortunately
it
stopped
when
we
got
to
the
top
and
the
walk
down
was
fantastic.
It's
very
popular
with
joggers
and
mountain
biking
so
there
are
many
other
trail
to
explore.
There
are
also
plenty
of
geocache
treasure
here.
