Disappointing, in short- bad customer service, and hard to communicate if you don’t speak French. I will say that this is one of the most beautiful hotels I have been too. However the experience ended badly, they decided to turn off the air conditioner in our room so we had to open a window, our room was above some space where workers were working so we woke up early because of the noise, when I said that to the receptionist and the manager their response was “there is no noise here”, instead of an apology you are blaming me I’m making this up. There was also a misunderstanding with the “early check in” price which we heard different because of the accent, since we booked the spa package and were not using it because of an early check out I don’t understand why not come towards the client in this case, but ok this is your policy. However the way the manager spoke was very condescending, he gave us one free pass with the saying “but this is not cool”. Yes this is how you speak to a customer. The receptionist barely spoke English, also there were waitresses that don’t speak English at all. They also added breakfast to our bill without us booking it. I think to sum up, I would have expected an apology and then an explanation of the policy, but instead I got a condescending “this is how we do it in France“ and telling me there was no noise in the room, maybe I should have recorded the noise. I will say that I am now in a 4 star hotel in France, and they speak better English and have a working air conditioner :) Also I want to add the bartender in the lounge and spa were very nice and gave good service.

Ein wunderbarer Ort, um zu entspannen in wunderschöner Umgebung. Wir waren 7 Nächte hier und konnten das umfangreiche Spa, die Terrasse mit eigenem Whirlpool und die super Küche ausgiebig genießen. Beim Personal geht besonderer Dank an Kim, welche uns immer mit einem kleinen Gespräch zum Frühstück einen tollen Start in den Tag beschert hat. Aber auch alle anderen Angestellten waren sehr nett. Gern kommen wir einmal wieder.

Sehr schönes, ruhiges, sauberes Zimmer. Spa nicht wirklich toll, Schwimmbad sehr klein und zum Schwimmen nicht geeignet, vieles kostet extra, viel zu viele Tagesgäste, sodass von Erholung nur bedingt zu sprechen ist. Das viel gepriesene Frühstück bietet maximal 3 Sterne-Hotel- Niveau. Keine frischen Säfte, für Gluten-Allergiker kein frisches Brot nur Reiswaffeln, Kaffee nicht gut, billigster Schinken. Das Essen im Restaurant schrecklich, den zweiten Abend gingen wir auswärts essen. Insgesamt viel Lärm um nur wirklich wenige Highlights. Preis-Leitsung stehen im absoluten Missverhältnis. Nicht einmal für weniger Geld würde ich dort nochmal hinfahren. Ein Hotel für jemanden, der das wirkliche Niveau eines 5-Sterne-Hotels nicht kennt.

Located in a quaint rural area with views of the Vosges Mountains, this boutique spa hotel has outstanding service and a very relaxing ambiance. I was there for my birthday and they went above and beyond to make my day special. We spent the day in and out one of their ‘hanging nests’ by the pool and using their facilities. When we went back to the room, they had prepared a little gift which included a bottle of Crémant d’Alsace, with chocolates, and macaroons for my friend and I to enjoy. It was a lovely touch! For dinner, they have a pre-set menu several options for appetizers, mains and desserts. You can have the full course menu or you can pick & choose your dishes. The service and dinner experience was truly gourmet and the staff ensures they take care of every detail. At the end of the night, I was surprised with a decorated desert and our waiter took a picture of us that they framed and gifted us as a souvenir the day of our departure. We really had a great time at la Cheneaudière and I highly recommend it!

A truly magical place that is already on my wish list to return. My husband and I had an absolute phenomenal time: dinner, night, spa. My highlights were the quality of food, the kind employees who radiate a joy for their work (and each other), the space in the spa, the floating session, the beautiful views and how comfortable the COVID measures felt (without compromising on hygiene). I had a sore ankle and I could easily move around, using elevators and other accessibility support. I can’t wait to return.

The reception and spa staff are amazing. So professional and pleasant. The wait staff in the restaurant are generally very pleasant but aren't that good at scanning the room for the most part, hence service can be slow or haltered at times. The room that we had was perfect, and a bottle of crémant offered by staff. An experience well worth reliving.

Near to perfection. Room accomodation, spa, restaurant, staff's attitude: all at very high level. My personal best souvenir? Les 'raviolis aux truffes' du chef... an intense experience of tasting 'welness' and already by itself a motivator 'par excellence' to return to La Cheneaudière one day... Quality establishment with fine spa and excellent cuisine in a wooded valley

Wunderschönes Haus, viel Liebe zum Detail, absolut hochwertig eingerichtet, hervorragende Super Kreative Küche, wahnsinnig guter Servive. Absolut Negativ, alle Mitarbeiter müssen hier Maske tragen, sehr traurig.

Wir haben uns auf Anhieb im "La Cheneaudière" wohlgefühlt. Die angenehme Atmosphäre wird ausschlaggebend von dem freundlichen, sehr aufmerksamen und souverainen Personal geprägt sowie der stimmungsvollen Einrichtung und Ruhe im ganzen Haus. Frühstück im geschmackvollen Ambiente; ein herrliches Spa, wo man abwechslungsreich Entspannung und Ruhe im gewünschten Maß findet; ansprechendes Mittagsbuffee und excellente Menus mit besonderem Service im Restaurant bleiben uns ein unvergessliches Erlebnis! Selbst unsere Hündin war ganz willkommen. Merci beaucoup!
