The Forest was lovely but what wasn’t lovely was when we went for a short 30 minute walk, and returning to our car with the window smashed and belongings stolen. The police said it happens a lot there. Be cautious when parking / bring anything of value with you.

This is a secret. Come to some places not everywhere to feel the good vibrations !!! Land of Compiègne is a blessing but not the people ( Wrong side )

A place that gives peace .. If you want tranquility, try going during the week .. See the sunset, the birds singing ..

Great for taking a bike ride. Be careful of the train which runs right through the forest!

If you go the L' Oise à Pied website, you can get detailed maps of the walking and biking trails. My partner and I took a sort of pilgrimage to see the castle in Pierrefonds (the castle in the BBC series Merlin), and we trekked through this beautiful forest.

Simply awesome city. It's awesome, surrounded by forest... Peaceful city for the walk and awesome atmosphere with old buildings...

Nice nature. Beware of the red pavement: it's not asphalt, and you may fall off the bike :-)
