This restaurant has something very special, is inside and around a tower which was build around the year 1346, the tower was used to protect the city at that time, today this tower at Frankfurt downtown and you can test great international food. Inside the tower, the space is reduced and there is space for the bar and few tables but as mentioned previously around the tower they have tables too, either you want to enjoy good food inside or outside the atmosphere of the place is really nice. What not everybody know is that in this restaurant if you have a bigger event or special occasion you can make a reservation of what they call „Kaminzimmer“ this place is at the top of the tower and has much more space and is really nice to enjoy your drinks and food at the top of the tower. The food that I recommend is the one on hot stones, I love the stakes, prawns or chicken but they have great salads, pasta, pizza, etc. for drinks as well they have a big selection of wines and cocktails. On regards price i think you pay for what you get that is a great experience, moment and good food and drinks. The staff is friendly just in crowded ours somethings you need to wait a little bit to get serve. If you are near to Frankfurt and you are looking for a special place where to enjoy good food and drinks don’t hesitate to visit the Eschenheimer Turn restaurant you will like it.

Bbq on hot stone is funny and can be recommended. My personal small tip is to put a bit butter on the meat/stone before grilling to avoid it from getting stucked on the stone surface.

My interest was in the Turret, built around 500 years ago. This medieval fortification guarded the Frankfurt City Centre. In the 1800's, the 8m (24 feet) high walls, surrounded by a moat, were removed and replaced with parks. These parks form a 5km walkable ring of green that can easily be observed on the city map.

Great place for a cocktail. Happy hour until 22:00. Be warned though the toilets are at the top of the tower! Service is quick and friendly. Prices are reasonable. There’s a cocktail happy hour 18:00-22:00 with many offered at a reduced price of €9.50. Didn’t have food but what other guests had looked good.

Great place to visit with friends yo enjoy a beer or the open air. There are plenty of seats or benches outside to enjoy the night and lights. The site itself is historic, and if you are looking for an experience with using the restroom, look no further. One must climb the tower in order to wash your hands. The wait staff was friendly and courteous. Great overall experience.

Visited the Eschenheimer Turm in Frankfurt. Very cool place. Sorry, can't comment on the food. as we just popped in and had beers and coffee before going to the Oper Haus to see West Side Story. Gorgeous and interesting building. Very friendly staff. Cool and funky vibe. Historic building with loads of character. It's quite a climb up to the washroom/loo, but worth it, just for the views. Looks like a great place to have a relaxing meal and beer in the evening. Definitely check it out.

During my stay in Frankfurt lastJune, I discovered near my hotel a lovely Coffee-Bar-Restaurant called Eschenheimer. Very good dishes with courteous and professional service. I chose the place to be my home restaurant so I had the chance to taste several dishes ... and each dish was a bingo! Meat, seafood, pizzas, interesting salads ... and great beers. i arrived to Frankfurt once again few days ago and I’m dining there almost every day lunch or dinner. I enjoyed being there on June and I’m happy to be there again this week !

Small restaurant inside a medieval tower. I had a beer lobster bisque and filet mignon. Everything was tasty and well prepared service was attentive and polite. The filet is brought raw on top of a slab of hot volcanic rock and you are responsible to cut it up and cook it to your taste. The meat was very tender and sauces were tasty. I loved the presentation as well as how everything tasted. Will come again

We were looking for a place to have lunch and decided to try this place. Omg...you will not be disappointed. The food was so yummy. I had falafel and humus, which was possibly the best I have tasted.i am definitely going back for more!!

We stopped here for drinks. The staff was kind and explained the history of the tower. Ask for the restroom and you will get to walk up the winding stairs to the top. Really nice atmosphere.

Fun experience to cook your own protein on a very hot stone. Neat building also. Go all the way upstairs for the bathroom and a view!

Fantastic place to enjoy some drink after dinner. There are many tables outside (blankets are provided for those who suffer cold) and the bar is inside a tall tower you can easy spot from the neighborhood. Sound strange, but I suggest you taking some time to "visit" the toilet that on the 1st floor of the tower (take care of the stairs if you enjoyed too much drinks)

Fantastic experience with the family! The waitress provided us one of the best dining experiences. We have a little one, and she was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. She had to move things around for us on the patio, and she was quick and considerate. She never showed one sign of frustration with the little one leaving a mess on the table and under it. In fact, it seemed that she was happy to have us there. Wonderful experience!! Highly recommend. Food was good, too.

We chose this place for lunch during our visit to Frankfurt. The food was fantastic and so is the location. And I must specially appreciate the efforts and the service given by the lady who served us. Special thanks to her for making our lunch even more memorable.

We had only drinks, so i won't know about food. It was cold in December, even though they tried to heat it up with gas heaters. The toilet is a real adventure and you need to be in good shape to go there.

The Hot Stone chicken was out of this world! It had so much flavor, and the apple pie was some of the best ever. They’re open late, so after a day of sightseeing, GO…EAT…ENJOY!

Most of the seating is outside. Probably room for 30 at most inside with 1 waiter, who did a good job all things considered. The inside seating is ground level. What is upstairs? The toilets! I had a cheeseburger which was better than I expected. I would come back, especially if with someone who had not been there was with me.

A historic place with nice drinks and food. Though I didn't eat much but happy hours drinks and Pommes were amazing. If you are looking out for a place to hangout on weekends then this is your place with good music and drinks.

Great restaurant, great service, great vibe in an amazing location. We really liked the hamburgers and especially the beef fillet. Will return again. Highly recommend.

Very friendly and comfortable the last time I was there. Drinks were good. You can charge your cell phone in the charger boxes. Toilet is up in the tower so be ready to walk a few stairs if you go to the bathroom ^^ Pretty cool though

The food exceeded our expectations. Flammkucken was perfect...crisp crust and delicious. Prawn salad was generously sized and fresh. The kabobs were flavorful. The outside seating is pleasant and blankets are provided for every seat as needed. The only downside was so many patrons were smoking - it was distracting and unpleasant. The toliets are up several flights of spiral stairs (we counted for fun - 42 steps). It wasn't an issue for our party, but might be for small children or less mobile adults.

Order Hot Stone Beef Fillet with Sweet Potatoes

Good service overall, but when we ordered 3 Negroni cocktails, we got basically the worst Campari and ice mix. Probably used cheap vermuth or something similar, and no gin. Disappointing!

Fantastic place, food is excellent and vibe is great. My favourite restaurant in Frankfurt. A Helles beer would be great on the menu as well but Cocktails are fantastic!

Great service, food and drinks - and a really cool location. The first couple places I visited in Frankfurt were over-priced or rude. I was worried I came to the wrong city until this place turned it all around. Excited to go again!
