A very nice restaurant with a modern interior, as well as a great terrace overlooking the Main. You are welcomed at the entrance and accompanied to your table. The service was also very friendly and funny, but unfortunately a bit overwhelmed. For the complete terrace, only one service person was assigned, that led to the fact that the guests had to wait partially long for their orders and or drinks. The food itself was okay. I had ordered the Wiener Schnitzel and my companion the beef fillet. My schnitzel was unfortunately dry, but with the cucumber salad and cranberries enjoyable. The filet was medium well as ordered, but the meat was a bit tough in taste. The side dishes however (spinach and sweet potato fries) were great. The view is just great, but the food is only ok. Grundsätzlich außerordentlich gut! Das Essen ist äußerst gut, aber auch nicht dass billigste. Der Service war schon sehr gut und äußerst freundlich, aber es wurden mehrere Bestandteile vergessen. In der Preisklasse sollte das nicht passieren. Das Ambiente ist schon allein durch den Mainblick außerordentlich gut. Bedenkenlos empfehlenswert!

Wir waren dort mit unserem Team zusammen essen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zur Begrüßung gab es Sekt und eine Auswahl an Getränken zum Essen. Auf Wunsch wurde durchgehend nachgeschenkt, sehr aufmerksam. Das 3 Gängemenü war sehr gut. Zum Start ein Salat, Baguette und Dips. Hauptgang war super zart und hat großartig geschmeckt. Zum Abschluss gab es einen Schokokuchen mit Eis. Angenehme Zeit zwischen den Gängen. Ein gelungener Abend. Gerne wieder und eine klare Weitermepfehlung :)

Super Ambiente und leckeres Essen. Wir waren am Samstag hier anlässlich eines Geburtstags mit der Familie essen. Einfach nur gut. Tolle Aussicht, toller Service und ein Restaurant was klar 5 Sterne verdient.

Nizza besticht erst einmal über eine hervorragende Lage direkt am Main, ist sehr gut zur Fuß, mit den Öffentlichen oder auch dem Auto (Tiefgarage in der Nähe) erreichbar. Die Speisekarte bietet vieles, egal ob Fisch oder Fleisch, hier findet man für jeden was. Was mir gefällt ist, das je nach Jahreszeit hier das Menü variiert. Deshalb haben wir uns jetzt im S Herbst auch für die Gänsekeule entschieden. Dieses war perfekt auf den Punkt gegart!

Judging by the people who low reviewed this place (they re lying, or have some personal issues, or don'tknow how to review a restaurant) with all types of nonesence like discrimination, slow service arrogant waiters, i decided to visit and try Main Nizza to check it myself. Right by the fantastic Main river, overlooking the wonderful walkways, green trees, flowing river, passing boats, families walking, bikers passing by, sitting and eating on the terrasse of this lovely place full of romantic soul is just a poem. We arrived without a reservation, but our lovely host Mrs. Regina Engelhardt made our life easy by allowing us to a table she got out of the blues. "DO NOT FORGET TO MAKE A RESERVATION ONE DAY PREVIOUS TO YOUR VISIT". As we are in the asparagus season we ordered the famous frankfurt asparagus soup, a 500 grams plate of cooked asparagus with hollandaise sauce, schnitzel and a rump steak. Our waiter Oscar was very friendly, smiling, accurate and informative. Our order started to be served 10 minutes after it was written. It is fair to mention that the seats are confortable the table ware is nice, elegant and clean. The soup was great big portion, full of big chunks of asparagus and croutons, u can lick your plate clean. The asparagus was tender and succulent. The rump steak was perfwct and cooked exactly to my request. Has a creme brulée for desert and it got 5 stars. The restaurant is not cheap nore extremely expensive. Will definitely come again and advise to visit it. Ps. Make a reservation.

Please give yourself a favor and NEVER go to this place. Snob place with the only beautiful outside in the river. It's like buy a beautiful book in a good library but nothing inside. Also a place where in 2023 is still discriminating for the way you look, so if you are not in high heels better don't go. Dear owner: your blonde waitress is killing the place because the service and kindness must be #1. Many people saying the same, you send people outside like dogs, with lies, such a shame for you snob's kingdom. Consider better places with best food and nice atmosphere like Ong Tao Vegan or a picnic in front of the river is more worth than this ridiculous place

Ein wunderschöner Ort. Tolles Ambiente, fabelhaftes Essen und ein aufmerksamer aber unaufdringlicher Service machen unserem Abend zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Draußen hat es wie aus Kübeln geregnet und auf der Terrasse war es warm und wunderschön. Wie mag es dann hier erst im Sommer sein? Irgendwann finden wir es heraus...

We were in Frankfurt for 1 night and thought a nice riverfront restaurant would be nice. Very nice service. We were seated next to a window with a beautiful view of the River. We started with the Caesar salad. We shared it and glad we did- it was huge. I’m not sure I could have eaten the entire thing even for an entrée! We didn’t realize it came with a fried chicken breast. Both the Caesar salad dressing and the chicken breading were a bit sweet but they actually blended very well and I really like them together. The breading and fry were definitely deep but again, tasty. We also shared the Duck dinner. The duck was an entire half, so big enough to share. The duck was prepared simply - grilled or cooked without breading but a nice light jus to complement. It wasn’t seasoned a lot but really didn’t need it. It came with dumplings, Brussels Sprouts (perfectly sautéed and al dente). The red cabbage was a highlight - the seasoning tasted very Christmasy to me! They also hard a large bottle of very nice apple liquor of some sort made specifically for the restaurant and it was outstanding. They encourage having a free sample. I normally don’t like apple flavored spirits but this was different. You could taste the subtle apple but it was not cidery. Overall a great meal, atmosphere, service and drink!

Two stars for the view. We planned to stay for dinner but after reading through the menu we decided to go elsewhere. We ordered an appetizer in the end because we were really hungry and boy were we disappointed.... tempura with papaya, pineapple, couscous and a ketchup sauce. The weirdest and most uncomplimentary combination of flavours - we couldn't eat it. The need to re-do the menu, rethink the dishes and it will be much better.

We visited this restaurant with high hopes but were left underwhelmed. We tried the schnitzel and fish soup, both of which were sadly lacking in flavor. Moreover, the service was almost non-existent; the waitstaff seemed to ignore us throughout our meal. To summarize, we would not recommend this place due to the disappointing food and poor service. Rating: 2/5.

Beautiful location & lovely staff. They offer two lunch menus to pick from, which is nice too. Prices are typical Frankfurt I'd say. Food was good quality and they did accommodate my change in order with no issues at all. We had steak with spinach, salad with fruit, nuts and chicken and their famous Schnitzel with potato and cucumber salads. Great spot for summer dinner outside and oversea the river Main. Reservations recommended as it is a well known spot and usually busy

I had a reservation with the note of we are coming for our 1st wedding anniversary, when we arrived, our name was in Restaurant's list in the entrance but there was no table reserved for us. It was very disappointing on such an important day for us. We waited for 10-15 minutes, and they arranged a table for us outside the restaurant on the left side balcony which was like a storage for tables and chairs. We wanted to leave the restaurant but because it was Sunday and not possible to find another place at 20:00, we had our dinner in that balcony. Service and food was good but experience was terrible. I dont suggest this place for an important day. not professional.

Had a quick rinds worst and freis but worst was a bit small. Also they have wifi so you can share the area with friends sitting along the Main river.

Delicious food and wine at a very fine location overlooking the river. I really recommend the asparagus and shrimp appetizer, and the Wienner schnitzel with cranberry jam. Getting the attention of the servers can be challenging, and service was kind of slow, but on a beautiful evening sitting outside, we didn’t mind!

Don't come here: rude and obnoxious staff, uncooked food. This is in a nutshell what you should prepare for if you plan to visit this establishment. A risotto is not supposed to break your teeth because you forgot to cook it. Also, mixing flavours randomly is not high cuisine, it's rather what my child would do if I left him alone in the kitchen.

This place is great. Even during high traffic times we were treated politely and we immediately got assured that we would be seated shortly. The view is generally amazing, you can watch the boats cone and go. The food was great and I'd love to return. We had Risotto and a Caesar Salad, both of which was very fragrant and very fitting to the season.

Pretty sure that they got my order wrong but the chef denied it. Ordered 1 bratwurst and 1 currywurst but we got 2 currywursts that looked exactly the same. When I asked the guy what it was he said it was bratwurst, which means he was lying or that both were bratwursts. So either way it's not a good look for them Food and atmosphere is decent though

All the food was criminally oversalted and the waitress was quite unfriendly when it came to payment. Considering the pricing of this place, I wouldn't have expected the waiters to rely on tips. 8€ for a single bottle of water with simultaneously oversalted food seems a bit over the top. The best part of the meal was the chocolate pudding, which was great

Good Service, Perfect for large groups, nice food

An elegant place by the river Main, a restaurant with a view. Respectful but relaxed service and atmosphere. It was full on Sunday evening, so a reservation is advisable. We liked our meals, especially the fish soup, which was abundant. The Basilica Risotto was classy. The Veal Beef was good but a bit dry. The desert ‘Geeister Frankfurter Kranz’ can be recommended. The high quality considered, quite affordable.

Wanted to book a table and the owner of this restaurant was incredibly rude and not forthcoming at all. Have been customers here before but the level of disinterest was astounding. Never going there again.

It would be fine/4 stars unless the expectations the restaurant sets by the appearance and the prices. The Primitivo we had (not house wine) was OK-ish, but quite watery for the sort. The fish soup (aka bouillabaisse) was nothing of its original and too thick. The lamb was finely slow-cooked, but oversalted from the kitchen. And the service - sorry to say that - is just too loose for the kind of establishment you're trying to show. Stick a very hefty bill on top and you get a mediocre experience for a lot of money.

Nice restaurant with kind people. Recommend the schnitzel here, great portion and good taste! The area is nice too, the outside area they have is a platform with the view on the river. All in all a good experience

Disappointed. 3 stars mainly for the nice view and the potatoes, wine was also good. So if you are looking for a delicious dinner, probably not the best choice. I have observed some after work dinner parties, so it might be a nice place to have events. I think they try hard to get into the fine dining category, do the so called modern German cuisine. There’s essential no presentation and poor service. Service: Fairly to say, maybe not rude, but also not friendly. The taste: The appetiser was too intense while main course was almost tasteless. It’s not that often to see all the guest on the table adding that much salt to a dish. We loved the potatoes though.

Very tasty and creative European food 👍 Nice outdoor dining. Not easy to find parking and the service a bit slow. Overall - excellent location. Many corporate events, birthdays etc.

Is it too much to expect a decent kind service? Why are the waiters so unfriendly? You can clearly see they hate their job. They are also smoking outside the kitchen door which is right next to the main entrance. What an ugly scene. Add on top the overpriced and nothing-special food. And the worst of it all? The lava chocolate suffle came totally cold! Right out of the fridge. It's supposed to be warm right? Lava? Never again. Sorry.

The location is extremely nice, just alongside Main river. Went there for a business dinner and had the Wiener Schnitzel. The schnitzel was extremely thin and tasty. The meat also tasted of quality. It was accompanied with a cranberry compote, cucumber yogurt salad and boiled potatoes. Overall taste was nice although I am not sure about the combination with cranberry. For the price, the food seemed a tad overpriced but I guess you pay for the ambience (if you sit outside).

We had a really great dinner at Mainnizza! The staff were really polite, friendly, attentive and welcoming. Food prices are what you expect / standard for the location. Good portion of schnitzel, well cooked with delicious sides as well. The dessert (Frankfurterkranz) was really good and interesting, it comes in the form of an ice cream rather than the traditional cake with really tasty apple compote too. After dinner, the restaurant also gave us (and other diners) a shot of apple brandy made in house, free of charge. We really enjoyed our time here and recommended others to visit when they have the chance as well.

I went there with office colleagues during winters. Such a cozy place with smiles on everyone's face. The drinks, the food, dessert everything tasted amazing. The portion size was big. My scnitzel came with super yummy salad and mashed potatoes. Frankly, I couldn't complete the entire portion by myself. Creme Brulee is my go to dessert Everytime I see on menu and this one was pretty good.

Fantastic atmosphere. Beautiful location right on the River. The place was full and everyone looked to be having a great evening. The only let down for me was the price. I find 25€ for a Ceaser salad is a bit steep.

On a Scale from 1 to 10, I would give it 8 for the lack of creativity on the main courses. Next time I will stay only on the appetisers and deserts that were close to perfection. To enjoy the Sunset on Main is also worth the visit to the terrace.
