The way they treat guests - absolutely embarrassing, rude!!. You are making reservation one week in advance !! for sure not the last minute / last empty spot.. want to have nice evening... and when you come you are assessed on what amount you can spend... !Starting from not even be given menu, then In the middle of your dinner forced to change the place and go to absolutely empty inside area to keep terrace for guests that potentially can make bigger bill. Guys - this is completely NOT ok. Ruined impression completely. NO GO. Never come back

So, this place was referred by a lot of German colleagues. I visited this place with my boss who was visiting from the US. We were welcomed with a cherry shot. It had a good taste. I had ravioli for the starter and it was amazing. For the main course i had schnitzel. The best schnitzel i had so far. Schnitzel was served with salad and mashed potatoes. It is a bit pricey but the portion size was great. why 3 stars.. the lady serving us was a little rude and was questioning our choice of having a beer over wine (common it was summer). Also, she did not appreciate us sharing the appetizer. Scared from her I ordered a separate main course and ofcourse i couldn't finish it and she almost scolded me :p.

4 overall but 5 for Frankfurt standards! Service was good and attentive, ambiance was good for lunch (may be too loud outside for dinner) and the food was great. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

You have to compare a place with one supposed to be. Lohninger has a bit room for improvement, to make you feel really in a classy star restaurant. The crew are super polite and nice, but not fully professional. I found the appetizer the most delicious and fancy, the main course and dessert were acceptable. 4 is the fare rating.

This place did not disappoint, in fact i would say this restaurant was the best one i have tried in the 4-5 years that i have traveled to this city for business. A little more expensive than i would have have liked but overall a fantastic culinary evening eating German/Austrian food.

@21/7/29. I can’t forget what I felt, when having lunch here at one of beautiful summer time. Taste, plating, staff’s kind service, even draft beer, everything was almost perfect. Only crazy car drivers near the restaurant made me a little annoyed, but you know actually it’s inevitable in this kind of center of big city.

The lunch meal they offered was 38 EUR per person. This included bread, appetizer, main meal and a dessert. We had a fantastic view onto the skyline. The service of the staff was excellent very competent and friendly. The food was served quickly. The dishes where very tasty. We especially like the dessert.

Very fresh ingredients and a chef that personally ensures that every guest has a great time! My favorite was the Kaiserschmarren (perfect texture and an amazing orange color). It came with vanilla ice cream and jam on the side. I’m a big Germknödel fan, so maybe this is something we can see on a seasonal menu once? 😊

Well, it was a posh place and it is a no no to take photos...Service was a strict tone (zack-zack and none of Wiener Charm) ... My hubby chose the Wiener Schnitzel but Plachutta's , Vienna, war besser.. I had Tuna Sashimi which was delicious, my friends had delectable Krapfen.. The Sherry had waited too long in the bottle, es war oxidiert, the Sauvignon Blanc was too fruity for my Tuna ... The ambiente is better outside on the sidewalk than the temple like atmosphere inside... Thanks anyway..

Amazing restaurant with very capable service team and phantastic ambiente serving the best Austrian-themed food I have ever eaten. Especially the complexity of the food but with a well chosen balance amazed me. We had the lunch menu, the dinner menu looked even more impressive to me. Clear recommendation!

Great food, complemented by a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The head chef, Mario Lohninger, visited our table and said hello and spoke with us (we were with a chef friend of ours). We were made to feel welcome and really enjoyed our night. Thank you

The family of four of us dined here last night. The food was amazing. I had fish as a starter, which was so amazing that I will think of this culinary delight for a long time. My family's tartar starters were also amazing. We can only recommend this great restaurant. Must try.

My sis And I really valued the friendliness of our waitress. Nice affordability, the best new usual place for supper. My brother and I really enjoyed the wide selection of desserts and will be coming once again for a special treat. Eaten here plenty of time, servers often outstanding and no complaints about the food. Read about it online so was anticipating it to be loaded out, but lucky they were able to cater to us. Wonderful food and cocktails too, you will not be unfulfilled.

Great customers service and ambiance, the Yellowfin tuna sashimi was sumptuous and flavoursome as well the Prime beef fillet which was cooked to perfection and succulent. A must to visit when in Frankfurt

The food here is always delicious, though the prices are... not low. I am generally disappointed by the wines-by-the-glass, finding them unremarkable. So far, so good. Unfortunately the service/atmosphere is super hit-or-miss. When the owner is around (and especially is she knows you), everything runs smoothly. On days/times when she's not there, however, atmosphere can range from inexplicably snooty to hip-hop lounge. (Sounds weird, I know, but has happened to me many times.) In the end, I keep coming back for the food, but minus one star for the somewhat uninspiring wine and stochastic ambiance.

Really nice food great service in a nice setting. Reasonable prices on wine and food. Would love to return here.
