Es handelt sich um ein authentisches eritreisches Restaurant. Das Essen war hervorragend und preislich in Ordnung (13-14 Euro pro Hauptspeise), wenn auch etwas essig/sauerlastig, was aber wohl der lokalen Küche entspricht. Das Restaurant verfügt über keine Patienten und eine Toilette, die nur über eine Treppe erreichbar ist. Alles in Allem eine solide Erfahrung.

Die Vorspeise (Teigtasche mit Hackfleisch) war eine absolute Frechheit. Die auf gar keinen Fall bestellen! Für 4,50 Euro bekommt man 2 Mini Mini Minitaschen. Ohne Soße, absolut überteuert. Anders sieht es mit der gemischten Platte für knapp 30 Euro aus. Hier ist der Preis fair. Wir waren zwar beide nicht satt danach, aber der Preis stimmt trotzdem. Das Essen war nicht sonderlich gewürzt, trotzdem halbwegs lecker. Der Service war nett.

Great food and great ambience. For Germans or who loves to taste medium spicey good according to European standard. I am Indian and I couldn't ask for more spicy because the taste of it is so great. Highly recommended

Zuerst gab es Palm Beer in afrikanischem Glas. Die mit Linsen gefüllten Teigtaschen etwas wenig an Menge im Preis/Leistungsverhältnis (4€ für 2 recht kleine Taschen), geschmacklich allerdings sehr gut. Das Hauptgericht war gut. Leider waren die bedienenden Damen die längste Zeit im Hinterraum bzw. der Küche, sodass eine Nachbestellung von Getränken nicht möglich war. Die Zubereitung hat jeweils recht lange gedauert bei sonst leerem Restaurant, welches innen recht nett aufgemacht und sauber ist.

Ich fand das Essen spitze. Mal was ganz anderes als sonst. Auch die Platte für zwei war reichlich. Freundliches und aufmerksames Personal, schöne Location.

Wer Lust auf was Neues hat: Leckeres Essen und sehr freundlicher Service. Wir probierten die gemischte Platte, Lamm/ Rind/ Huhn mit diversem Gemüse, dazu afrikanisches Bier aus der Trinkschale. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, einzig die flackernde Lampe störte das Ambiente. Alles sehr sauber und nett dekoriert.

Wir kamen spontan zu viert und durften uns einen Tisch aussuchen. Die Deko schreit mit Afrika aber mir hat es gefallen. Die afrikanischen Bieren sind sehr zu empfehlen. Zum Essen haben wir die Mixplatte für vier Personen bestellt. Diese kam dann auch fix und es war reichlich für alle da. Man konnte sich reichlich durch probieren. Mein Favorit war da Hühnchen. Lediglich etwas Musik hat mir persönlich gefällt.

It was my first time in an African restaurant and I have to say that it was really nice. Menu is not so large but every entry is real African food. I chose and starter and a main course but I couldn't finish with a dessert. I was full. I liked drink beer using an original cup instead of glass cup. It seems that I will repeat when I come back to Frankfurt.

My boyfriend and I were feeling adventurous on our last night in Frankfurt so we decided to forego trying to find more schnitzel and opt for Kilimanjaro instead. I’m so glad we did! Pros: -Our waiter was awesome. He was very helpful in answering our questions about the food and he spoke great English too. -The mango beer was great and came out in a coconut bowl. -Free wi-fi. -The meal for two was everything we wanted. It had a little bit of everything and it was all delicious. It was plenty of food for two people. Cons: -We didn’t have to wait for a table because we went for an early dinner, but the waiter said they usually only take reservations. So if you’re going during normal lunch/dinner rush, be aware of that!
