Amazing Ethiopian restaurant with delicious food, interesting plating and polite and friendly staff. The prices aren't that high considering the location. The overall experience was great for me. I wouldn't hesitate to visit this place again.

The restaurant itself looks nice, is in a great location and has a cozy feel to it. Unfortunately, the food was not that nice - the food was cold, the meat was unrecognizable and lacked flavor. We also had to wait a very long time for the bill.

Nice little place and fairly priced. Injera tasted very fresh but veggies were a little bit cold, which suggests they were reheated (but not quite enough). My only complaint is that I ordered a St George but they served me a Habesha beer, without asking first. The waitress said "it's the same thing" but it's not at all the same thing. She later admitted she doesn't drink beer and didn't know the difference. Hopefully she won't do that anymore.

My goodness, what a lovely experience. We arrived in the early evening without a reservation and were warmly welcomed. Only one other table was taken, but during the course of our dinner, the restaurant filled to capacity. Muted lighting and soft jazz provided a very soothing and pleasant ambiance. We ordered the house appetizer to share and two main courses, Yebeg Tibs and Shifenfen, which was a mountain of food for only the two of us. Everything was homemade, flavorful and of quality ingredients. Prices were more than reasonable. We were very satisfied. The owner, his wife and staff treated us like VIP's; most welcoming. The next time I'm in the area, I will be sure to visit again.

Better than expected. It was my first African restaurant experience and went well. Food is eaten with hands using African style tortilla bread. It is delicious.

I recently dined at an Ethiopian restaurant and it was an exceptional experience. The food was not only delicious but also showcased the rich flavors of South Africa. The sharing tables allowed us to explore a variety of dishes, each one a delightful surprise. The service was warm and attentive, making the entire meal even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was soothing and calm, providing the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to savor authentic Ethiopian cuisine in a welcoming environment.

Never had African cuisine before and after eating at Ambassel I must say that I was surprised in the best way possible, I didn't know what to expect but the service was immaculate in presenting their dishes and the food was absolutely spectacular! Highly recommended!

Worth a 5-star rating! Absolutely loved everything about this place, the service, the food, the ambience, and most of all the Ethiopian beer! All in all it was a great experience. Would love to visit again the next time I'm back in Frankfurt ❤

Great Ethiopian restaurant. good introduction to the cuisine and the concept of Injera. Their selection of wines though was limited. Service was excellent and we got a table at the reserved slot.

Food is very tasty, although some main course dishes are small for the price. Also service was slow. If not that - would give it 5 stars!

Very good service. The food was OK. Maybe it’s just me because I am not a fan of Ethiopian food. Lots of bread and the meat and veggies were just OK. I did enjoy the mango beer:)

Bad meal and too much expensive. Enjera is 0% and they dont know how to make goredgored just they sale for white people not for habesha this is how they share about our culture. Just money

Wow. Simply wow! Wanna try Eastern African Cuisine then this is your place to go in Frankfurt. Despite the great authentic menue and dishes the service is outstanding. Mind the spicy stuff. There - spicy means spicy! I can recommend this restaurant without any limitation!
