Ok-ish for a weekend trip if you want to spend most of your time in the city, not in a hotel. It's clean but you can see it's not been renovated for a while now. The room was pretty neat, incl. bathroom. Of some amenities, the safe in our room wasn't working, and you need to get someone working there to open it for you anyways. It would be nice to provide at least some water for guests. The location is great, 5 mins from the S-Bahn and tram station, 5 mins from the river and a city-center viewing point. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby, which is also a minus since it gets really loud in the evening. On a plus the personnel was really kind and helpful :)

Hidden Gem The location takes some navigation and I'd recommend public transportation getting here. The first thing I noticed upon walking into my room was the faint smell of bleach. Not overpowering at all and proof of cleanliness. The bathroom was a bit small and if you're six ft and over it's a bit awkward. The beds are very firm and clean. The plugs are right next to your head. The reason for one less star is because by the desk and even the television was no outlets. For people here on business working from a bed doesn't fit the bill. Breakfast was quiet and not so many people present early on which is preferable. Standard German spread and very quaint but pleasant.

The position of the Hotel is great, you have everything you need nearby, that's awesome. About the hotel it's great, nothing bad to say. Clean, good support.

Nice hotel for a good location. It's very near to the central, you can just walk to everything. However the hotel itself does not provide many things. At least a pair of slippers or a comb. Many hotels provide these simple things. The staff were nice, especially the cleaning staff take care of your room very nice. Other than that everything is fine.

An OK hotel, clean and in a good location. The hotel is in serious need of a refurbishment. The room (the whole hotel for that matter) is old fashioned looking, with no A/C. The rooms have poor soundproofing as we were able to hear the entire conversation of our next door neighbour. Not very good value. Has a car park though.

The experience was delightful. The rooms are clean, the employees were respectful, 5 stars from me.

For its cheap price it is good but the elevator doesn't work. Parking is small and full (you can find a parking near that for reasonable price. Breakfast is good but the service man presence was annoying

We stayed with a large group at Hotel Primus and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. From the very start, Tony the manager was really helpful - waiting for us to arrive even though it was very late, and then doing all sorts of favours for us throughout the week, like booking us into restaurants in the evenings. He was always warm and relaxed and made us feel welcome. Natalie was also great every morning at breakfast, ensuring those of us with dietary requirements were catered for and going above and beyond to prepare a very early breakfast for us on the final day. If we visit Frankfurt again, we’ll definitely choose Hotel Primus.

We went with a large group and it was such a lovely and welcoming environment. Conveniently located with excellent staff who want to help, especially Tony (manager) and Natalie. Both went above and beyond and no issue was ever an issue- they did their utmost to ensure our students had a pleasant experience. Budget friendly accomodation. Overall not bad.

Okayish hotel for what you pay. Cheap and good location, 10 min walk from the center of Frankfurt. Yet, many things good be improved. Rooms are very small and dated but cosy. Bathroom could be more clean. The reception guy keeps telling you that smoking is not allowed, despite telling him we are non smokers, but still there was a very intense smoke smell in the air. Staff should be definitely more polite and friendly than they are. They also claim that there's parking at the hotel, but they told us is was full, despite that the hotel was almost empty, so we ended up in a paid parking for two days. If you are looking for a cheap stay in Frankfurt close to the center for 1-2 nights I recommend it, otherwise not worth it.

Walking distance to the center of Frankfurt. Good service and clean basic rooms. But sound isolation is rather bad - both noise from outside and neighborsing rooms can be disturbing.

The hotel is in need of renovations as some other comments have already mentioned. Nonetheless the rooms are great for the price, the location is amazing and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.
