Having been to this coffee shop on multiple occasions, I have to say that while the atmosphere and location are top-notch, the quality of the food and service leave something to be desired. The desserts were too sweet and lacked depth of flavor, and they were also quite hard. As for the service, it could definitely use some improvement. All in all, I would recommend this coffee shop if you're looking for a comfortable place to unwind, but don't expect to be blown away by the desserts or the service.

One of the oldest coffeehouse in Frankfurt. Situated in the old down town of Frankfurt. Sit outside and enjoy your coffee with a peace of delicious house made cakes. They have many cakes that made it difficult to choose. What ever you are choosing all is delicious.

The staff is very friendly and nice. The cold coffee was good. Its right next to Frankfurter Dom and ideally located. The coffee house building is beautiful.

We did not enjoy the apfelstrudel at all. It is very expensive for what it is and not so tasty. We could barely taste the pastry, the apples were present but were really sour. If it was not for the vanilla cream, we would have not been able to eat it. However, the coffee was good and some of the staff was helpful.

Very nice café in a beautiful building. Huge variety of cakes. It is a nice place to have a coffee and some cake. In summer you can sit outdoor. The only thing I didn’t like is that you have to go inside at the counter to order your cake as the waiters cannot take orders for cakes…

I recently visited this café. Coffee was good. Ambiance was really nice. The cakes looked tempting and beautifully presented. However the cakes were bit too sweet for me and the Frankfurter krenz was quite hard.

Located near the cathedral, a historical beautiful building, difficult to find a table so if you can make a reservation is better. But the price is a bit overrated because is a tourist attraction. The only thing I didn’t like is that you have to go inside at the counter to order your cake as the waiters cannot take orders for cakes.

This cafe patisserie is a must visit in Frankfurt. Located in the new old city the place itself is worth visiting. Don't be discouraged by the people waiting it doesn't take much time and you will be seated. As for the desserts they look amazing you want to eat them all but they are ok. Nothing really special although they seem very tempting. To be fair we tried just two and there so many different to order and of course I can recommend and I am looking forward to visiting again and try different ones. As for the service it is quick and the prices are reasonable

Went there to get some traditional Frankfurter cakes. The staff was absolutely unfriendly. Not a single smile. When we asked for the bill, they didn't show up for another 10mins. The cake was good, but overpriced! Just the location is nice in front of the Dom.

Beautiful coffee shop situated in a touristy square in Frankfurt. Pastries are good and the coffee as well. First time we tried frankfurter kranz and we loved it! You should definitely order this cake, specially since it’s really hard to find outside of Germany. The shop inside has the cutest decoration, nice colors and I loved the second floor deck next to a nice window. Highly recommend this place.

I agree with most of the reviews; the signature cake cherry whipped cream cake was too sweet and too hard; though they looked good and fresh. The cafe late was nice. Very friendly and pleasant service. Love all the cake decorations.

Really nice coffee house. Interesting building with a golden style. Reminds me to buy more gold to protect my gambling winnings from my government printing money. Amazing pastries and drinks. Tasty espresso to go with the desserts. Nice location. Friendly staff. Nice interior and exterior.

We took the tipical Frankfurter Kranz (Crown), which consists in a mix of butter, red jam and cherries. The cake was so good and really sweet (if you dont like sweet things try other cakes, this one is really butter-flavoured!). We also took two cup of tea which were amazing, mine was fresh-mint flavoured and I loved it! Location is great inside and outside, service is good and prices are adequated to the location. Higly recommended for a break in the afternoon!

On a hot day, this was a very nice reprieve. The ambience is quite nice, trying to keep the old-fashioned feel with the decor and music. However, one needs to order the pastry at the counter & they seemed annoyed when I asked the price (which they did not know, since the pricing is different when dining in). I ordered the red currant with meringue. As others have noted, the meringue is much too sweet. I felt like I was eating a mouth full of sugar. The currants were also quite strong. I felt they needed something better to balance their flavor. The pastry portion was good and my server was quite pleasant.

Great tasty cakes in charming restored historic building. Not a lot of seats though so can be quite busy.

Do not recommend Mini Frankfurter Kranz!! It doesn’t have cream at all, but butter with lots of sugar. Also the manager is rude and unprofessional, treating tourists like they do not know the quality a cake should have.

Nice place, really chocolaty cake, strudel not that great. Low organization for the service. Strudel and drinks can be ordered at the table. For cakes, on the other hand, you have to stand in line to receive only a ticket to be handed over to the waitresses. In the line for cakes there are both people who are sitting at tables and people who get cakes for take away. Only one person, which I hope only that day, answered a little rudely. High prices.

The food I ordered was tasty and I liked it. But I have to say that the quiche was the best of everything that I ordered. It‘s a very touristical place, so it‘s full of people coming and going… But I‘d say it‘s worth it.

Located near the cathedral, a historical beautiful building, typically German with beautiful colors and decor inside and out. The service is okay, rushed and slow at the same time, a bit rude too. Difficult to find a table so if you can make a reservation is better. The cakes are different and mostly good, don't get fooled by the view, avoid the most ordered cake like that Frankfurter franz, it's not so good as it seems to be. Drinks are okay, but the price is a bit overrated but understandable because is a tourist attraction. Overall a nice experience and worth it.

Great place, stupidly expensive for what it is, but you know that the second you walk in, and it's fine, because the building and staff are amazing! We went back several times, and one particular member of staff, young girl with shoulder length curly hair and beautiful energy, really made it for us (so sorry we didn't catch your name) we were the couple whose flight got cancelled, I hope that helps to figure out who she is, because she deserves to know that she made our visits 😊 I found a pic of her from a different review, photo credit to Dewi, but that is the lovely member of staff!

In the heart of the city of Frankfurt am Main, just in front of the Cathedral and Metro Station. Crowded place, although very nice and with character, charming atmosphere. Great selection of coffe, tea and cakes. We have tasted local sweets and Christmas wine, gluhwein.

Beautiful little kafe, variety of delicious cakes, very friendly waitress who speaks english. Loved my hours here! The only thing, the route to the toilet is confusing for the first timer!😀

My favorite place to grab an afternoon tea and dessert. Service was great and helpful and their selections were good. The fresh ginger tea was delicious and so was their apple strudel!

Tucked away in the middle of a bendy alley, this coffee shop is a must go to when you visit the area. My favourite was the chocolate & raspberry slice. Fist it looks heavenly, and it doesn’t disappoint the texture, the crunchy chocolate shavings, the taste waaaaw. If you want to treat yourself this is a must go to coffee shop. It’s a very big place with extra seating in the attached spacious building. However it was soo difficult to find the toilets, because they are on the second floor outside the building.

A nice place with a great view. The missing star is because I had to go to a line after I got my table and order the piece of cake separate from the drinks… whaaat? Yeah i know 😅. But the food was ok and the service besides the described issue was gentle and reasonably fast

This place is located right outside Dom Römer U-Bahn station and will catch everyone’s attention because their entrance is so antique. The ambiance is great and their cappuccino, desserts are amazing (especially Black Forest cake). Friendly staffs and pretty quick service. All in all I loved everything here and would be my go to place on a Sunday evening.
