Food is great, but the service and waiting time is unbelievably poor. We had to wait for 40 minutes for the third course, and after 2h in the restaurant and at 10pm we didn’t even get to a main course! When we asked to spend service up we got no reaction and no apology. Not recommended. Restaurant is much more than just food, it’s an experience as well. Spend three hours of your evening somewhere else, without staring at an empty table.

I am visiting Frankfurt to celebrate me and wife's 60 birthday. I want to have nice tasting course diner and found the Sorriso from Google map search with very high rating. After leaving hotel at 10 am around 4 PM, we were exhausted and took a nap at the river bank and headed to the Sorriso. We ordered five course seasonal menu with wine pairing. All the food was quite nice and beautiful with lots of efforts. And the owner serves all the guests alone and son-in-law is chef. It were international dishes. It was the first time to have all wine pairing were white. It was quite surprised to realize varieties of whites.

The restaurant is in a nice, quiet location. The courses were beautifully presented but I felt the dishes were lacking in complexity, balance and the “wow factor” that I hoped I was paying for. There was a thread of modern cuisine, but the flavours did not tell me a story, nor transport me anywhere like a really good degustation can do. I wonder if degustations are not yet a very popular experience, and whether some friendly competition would encourage Sorriso to take their cuisine to the next level.

What a wonderful experience. We visited Sorriso for our anniversary and could not be happier with our choice. We picked a 6 course menu with the accompanying wine and were amazed at the taste and quality of the food and the wine selection. What topped up our experience was the courteous and impeccable service we received. Thank you team Sorriso for this great evening and we can't wait to visit again.

The only dining experience in Germany I wished I wouldn't have booked & I could get my money back. From the moment we walked into the restaurant there was an unwelcome reception. Our server practically threw our bread service on the table and said "here". He barely spoke to us, and yes he spoke English. I'd like to say/think that the rude server (an older man) wasn't acting that way because we were American; however, he was very cordial with other guests who were German. The food wasn't much better than the service. Our pasta dishes were so undercooked, they couldn't be considered al dente, but raw pasta! Due to our server's lack of warmth, I was fearful as to the reaction I would get should I say anything, so I did not. The one highlight of the meal was our appetizer - beef carpaccio - very tasty. I would not recommend this establishment for a nice dinner out, particularly to travelers. It was an expensive meal that didn't deliver!

Very fancy upscale restaurant. Everything tasted great. We got the 6 course meal for €104 and we were full afterward. It comes with some bread and butter in the beginning. Then there was an amuse bouche before the courses started. Each meal was presented beautifully. Warning: still water costs €9 per 750 ml bottle.

8 course menu. Beautiful presentation, and the waiter talked us through the dishes explaining everything, in English. They had a wine pairing, but we didnt take that.

You must order at least the five course menu. Gorgeous, tasty small dishes. Small = 4 or 5 inches (at most 10cm). Presentation excellent. Delicious. However two people ordered the 5 course menu plus two bottles of water & the cheapest bottle of wine on the menu - 250€ and we left feeling hungry. Go to impress a date. Avoid if you are really hungry.

Wonderfully intimate dining experience with incredible service. Wine pairings are thoughtful and enjoyable, texture of the food was an absolute highlight (especially the octopus). Excited to have this calibre of a restaurant in the nieghborhood. Hidden gem.

A rather versatile Italian kitchen, that offers much more than just your normal pasta + pizza. It is definitely star restaurant quality. Parking is not so easy around this area though, so if you are driving do expect to spend some time to find a parking spot. Otherwise this place is highly recommended and I will definitely return.

It's a small family restaurant, very cozy and romantic. I didn't expect that level of food, the presentation was like a work of art but the combination of flavors was even better. I enjoyed every bite! Perfect spot for a romantic date. Highly recommended.

Perfect spot for a date night. High end creative modern Italian cuisine but it doesn’t hurt your pocket and you would be highly satisfied. Wine that was suggested for pairing with our dishes were perfect. Service is impeccable. Highly recommended to try this new spot.
