I am hereby revealing a real insider tip. The Tandoori Spezial in Frankfurt-Rödelheim is by far the best Indian restaurant I know and I have already tried a lot of Indian restaurants in various cities and countries. I was always disappointed by the others because I'm used to the high quality of Tandoori Spezial and every time I thought to myself: "Tandoori can do this or that dish so much better!" Everything is just right here, the finest authentic Indian food from a family-run restaurant. Price-performance is outstanding. The portions are large, the food is always delivered hot and reliably, the employees and the boss are warm and always friendly, the service is attentive and quick. The food is a dream, my absolute favorite dish is Butter Chicken or Paneer Makhani, the sauce is just to die for. But everything really tastes amazing. If you are there and try the food you will understand my praises, but be careful: risk of addiction! I have been an enthusiastic regular customer for years and will always remain so. The high quality has remained consistent over the years. The restaurant has limited parking spaces for guests, it is very well connected to public transport (Redelheim S-Bahn station), and card payments are possible. There is also an outdoor area where you can sit comfortably in summer.

Tandoori special Indian fine cuisine Papadam was included free of charge as a starter. The main course of Lamb Tikka Masala & Chicken Korma not only looked delicious but was also very tasty! Price/performance is definitely right! Therefore I leave five out of five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

An inconspicuous restaurant next to a gym, but the food is absolutely fantastic. We had tikka three times in different versions. There was also great naan. You couldn't stop eating. The mango lassi as dessert is also highly recommended.

Nice Indian food. The food is very homely and delicious. We also ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Dal Makhani and those were also very well prepared. Also, we ordered Onion Pakodas were just too good. The portions are good and the price is very reasonable in comparison to other Indian restaurants. The ambience is nice and cozy but was not very bright. Location: this restaurant is 5-10 mins walk from Rödelheim station.

Its a hidden gem and I'm a regular... Definitely the very best North Indian restaurant I have been to in my 10 years in Europe... Family run and authentic flavors (not trying to create euro fusion food).... Veg menu and main course dishes are fantastic... Naan, Roti and kulcha are must have.... Highly recommended..

I had the pleasure of dining at Tandoori Spezial, and I must say, their Tandooris are truly special and incredibly tasty. The friendly service and pleasant atmosphere added to the overall satisfaction. While I enjoyed my experience, I’d rate it 4 stars.

Ordered for pickup via Lieferando and then had to wait a few minutes on site. The food tastes good; better than I remembered from my last order. Good portion size for the prices. I will order again. 🙂

The food was great and they can make it as spicy as you want. Even just off of the menu the (hot) food was a little spicy, unusual for restaurants in Germany. They have menus in English and they all speak English too (Although I tried practicing my German)... There's parking which is a plus and it's off the beaten track so not so busy.

Very good food and nice service. The food was a bit spicy so if you don’t like spicy things just ask before ordering. My friend ordered butter chicken and it was too spicy for him to eat. My mango chicken instead was very sweet.

The Best Indian food I have ever had after coming to Germany. If you really crave for authentic Indian food then you should never miss this place. Very warm and welcoming service.

A well balanced flavoursome food. I ordered vegetarian thali which have ample amount of 2 sabzi (curries), 1 lentil, 1raita, tandoori roti and rice. The food had homemade taste with not very high amount of spices. Food is so good, You can make it your regular destination if you want.

I was there for the first time. The food was tasty and was served quite soon after ordering. But I felt the portions were slightly smaller. But then the price of menu items were also accordingly lesser. The taste of food and the friendliness of the staff was good enough for me to come once again. I'll update (refine) my review after my second visit to the restaurant.

Very friendly, attentive service staff, the glasses never remained empty for long, the food was very tasty and the price was absolutely acceptable, the atmosphere was less inviting, the chairs were really very uncomfortable, not inviting for long stays and it was extremely loud, you couldn't talk to yourself hardly entertained! We will definitely eat here again during the week - no more on the weekend! We have already tried the delivery service via Lieferando, which was also great!

Excellent food at reasonable prices and very nice people. I had the 50 (chicken curry) with some naan as my "low risk" first dish and it was delicious! I'm already looking forward to the next time.

I tried several Indian restaurants around Frankfurt West/Rödelheim and so far this is my favorite Indian. I tried almost all the pakoras dishes and they were all very tasty. Garlic Naan, Butter Chicken and Garlic Tikka are also very tasty and the mint sauce that they always serve is simply great. Particularly high praise for the Garlic Naan, as it doesn't taste as good as some of the others. Here I can always rely on the fact that I will enjoy the food.

Brilliant authentic Punjabi food. It seems to be a family run business with hospitable staff. We had ordered all variety of mix platters, Paneer, chicken, mutton dishes. Everything was very well prepared in a homely style. They offered us green chutney which was so good that they went into stock out situation at the end of our party ;) Very reasonable pricing. Washroom needs a bit tidying up otherwise absolute recommendation and will visit again. Thanks!

I absolutely loved my visit to this Indian restaurant! The spicy chicken biriyani was delightful, and the generous portion size made it even better. Fantastic value for money! Highly recommend it!

Absolutely delicious Indian food. It tastes really good every time you visit. The lunch menu is a little smaller than the dinner menu, but also a little cheaper. The prices are absolutely fine. For them, the quality and taste are actually very cheap. You can order more rice at any time if it wasn't enough. Even if the restaurant doesn't look that fancy from the outside, it's absolutely worth a visit.

Best Indian restaurant ever! Must try Butter Nann

I have been eating there regularly for many years - on site but also for collection/delivery. The food is exceptionally good - the hardest part is definitely deciding between the many delicacies... Peppermint sauce and raita are addictive Samosas and pakoras - super delicious the naan variants and lassi - an absolute must The sauces mango, special of India, korma, butter are so delicious and whether it's meat (even beef!), fish, shrimp or even paneer - everything is fantastic. The service is fast and extremely friendly - from in-house service to delivery. The atmosphere isn't exactly suitable for a date and isn't a highlight for me, but the food makes up for it all.

I have been a regular customer more than 5-6 yrs. So, it is pretty obvious that sometimes i would feel a bit bored with the variety especially the curries in Thali has never changed in all these years. The owner had always been accomodating if some change is requested. But today, i had the worst experience of all times with the person on the phone. He just hung up on me. Sometimes it is not always food but about how a restaurant service person makes you feel. Today he definitely made me regret me ordering here.

Our neighborhood restaurant and one of our frequent hangouts. We love the Thali they have. Always yummy and served with naan and basmati rice. They offer Chana masala, palak paneer and dal in the Thali.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Frankfurt in my opinion. Great and warm service by the staff as well. When weather is warmer, there is also a terrace. Prices are very fair comparitively.

Bit hidden location but totally worth to find it! :) staff was very kind and helpful, we were lucky to have the new menucards first in our hands, looks nice and well defined. Food was very delicious, had a free sortiment of starters. Garlic naan best in my life, chicken tikka masala and butter chicken fantastic! Portions are big and very prepared/tasty. Can only recommend, we go this Friday also! :)

Today I ate in this restaurant, which I would almost say is inconspicuous from the outside. The smell of Indian cuisine almost magically led me in the direction of the restaurant. The atmosphere and food on site were incredible. This restaurant can only be recommended.

Atmosphere, service, price, food and much more are simply unsurpassed. Tandoori-Spezial lives up to its name, because after eating in many Indian restaurants, the experience at Tandoori-Special was simply incomparably beautiful, pleasant and delicious!
