The hotel was fully booked and the room that we booked was not available. The manager went out of her way to make things right and she did a good job. The room itself was fine but some items were not constructed right. The facet in the kitchen was loose and the shower had a broken shampoo rack. Nothing that's really bad just seemed not 100%. The front desk staff, manager (Allison), breakfast staff ->A+. The cleaning lady will not give us toilet paper. We had to get it from the front desk. Not sure why. The other thing that was weird was that they would leave the open trash bins in the hallway and it smells bad.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel! After a long drive, very late at night we arrived to another hotel and it was horrible so we left and searched for another place to stay and came here. Frankie who was working the night shift was fantastic. The hotel is so clean, rooms are great, spacious, breakfast was amazing. My kids loved the pool and the games room which was a great bonus. If you are flying from JFK especially with your family don't bother trying to find a good hotel right beside the airport because it doesn't exist. It's worth driving a bit further (only 30min) and staying here before you fly. And make sure you eat at Maggiano's Little Italy restaurant, you can walk across the parking lot from the hotel.

DO NOT STAY HERE. As a long time Marriott elite member I have stayed in many locations across the world, and none as upsetting a stay as this one. Here are just a few of the events that occurred during our stay: 1. Within the first 15 minutes in the building we encountered a cockroach in the hall that the staff didn't seem to surprised or concerned by when we notified them 2. There was an awful smell down the main hall 3. There was police activity for a few hours of the after noon (with 4 cop cars in front and in the lobby) 4. There was a group of about 50 kids on bikes yelling and throwing things at cars in the parking lot 5. The titanium elite status wasn't addressed at all in check in, and when I later asked if there were any bottles of waters for guests available (as usually are provided for elite), they said that we could have 2 bottles total (I had reserved 3 rooms across 4 adults and 4 kids) 6. The extra set of sheets/blankets in the closet were dirty, including a band-aid stuck to one of them. 7. the lights were out/not working in a few areas of the rooms 8. AND to top it all off, they charged us $150+ pet fee and a misc. market charge when we had no pet or shop purchase...and when I called to resolve it- I was hung up on twice when I let it ring and when I finally got through to a person, was put on hold for 15 minutes. When I explained the situation (no one had any pets - in fact there are some severe allergies in our group, hence the feather free requests) I was told well, they saw a cat. I'm still waiting for a supervisor to return a call.

For a place with excellent reviews online , I was very surprised, upset and shocked by the treatment my family and I received. The house keepers was rude and disrespectful. The night staff clearly do nothing and get away with it because they cover for each other and apparently the managers are one and the same. And they have no regard for the elderly or sick. The police was called on us for absolutely no reason. Can you imagine being in your hotel room only for a staff member to open your door while half naked? After speaking to the staff an then the manager 20 minutes before hand.I have so much more of poor quality and behavior I could write about.

We had a great experience at the hotel! I do have to comment. 1. We requested room service to sweep our room since it wasn't cleaned well. Unfortunately no one showed up even after requesting it a couple of times. 2. The bathroom door was very hard to close.

Rooms have no art and look very bland and sterile. I requested housekeeping at 8am before leaving for the day and when I returned at 8pm no housekeeping service was received. Called for towels and waited over two hours for housekeeping to deliver. Don't ever plan on staying here again. They then delivered the towels in a garbage bag on the handle of the room. No personal service whatsoever. Don't stay here at all! Terrible customer service!

My family and I truly love this hotel. We have stayed numerous times now, and as long as it's not too expensive, we will stay here every time we visit NY (which is fairly often). The hotel is ALWAYS clean, and the included breakfast is a money saver. The food is good, and the staff are kind and helpful. The hotel room has amazing accommodations (a full refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, actual plates, utensils, and cups), which is HUGE when traveling with a family. It makes things a bit easier, especially when traveling with young kids. More importantly, the staff has always always been kind and super helpful. You're always greeted with a smile. I have had the pleasure of checking in a few times now while Alexis was working the check-in desk. She truly made us feel welcome and even remembered us from a previous visit which was a nice touch. We checked in LATE, and it was actually quite busy, and it seemed like she was by herself. She handled herself LIKE a pro and had everyone leaving happy with whatever they needed. I don't often leave reviews, but this hotel specifically Alexis and the staff that work the breakfast deserve all the praise! You can't go wrong booking here. I know sometimes it can be a bit pricy, but it's worth it for the convenience of home. If you see Alexis, give her a smile, she will make you feel welcome for sure and is a TRUE asset.

I didn't actually stay there. Visited friends in town who stayed there. But the hotel was beautiful. The lobby was very nice. My friends and I talked about how well decorated and furnished their room was.

We love it here! Stayed here in summer 2020 or 2021 for almost a week. The room is spacious, the indoor pool was large, the location is strategic yet secluded, quite place, put put golf was a nice touch for the kids, Justin from front desk was very kind. Always had a smile in his face (could tell even with a mask on) and very resourceful. Looking to stay here again sometime soon. I have nothing bad to say. All around great experience and we made good memories there!

This was our third stay at the Residence Inn. The room was spotless. The workers at the front desk, And the kitchen workers were absolutely amazing.. Always extremely pleasant. The breakfast that they offer was amazing. There was a wide selection of hot foods, A make your own waffle station, Cold cereals, Hot oatmeal, Bagels, toast, pastries, Juices milks and plenty of hot coffee. The hot coffee station stays out almost all the way through the night. Being refreshed every time it needs to be. Hot coffee tea and hot chocolate. Although we did not use any of the following, They accept pets like dogs and cats, There is a small putting green, A swimming pool indoors, A game room with a pool table, an exercise room And a very large lounge area with lots of TV's and places to relax. The one and only downfall is the location... There is really no view from any of the windows other than the industrial park; But would that being said, We felt safe and secure, and there was minimal to no noise from any of the industrial park areas after dark. If you are a shopper of any kind the mall in The adjoining industrial park has so many stores and so many restaurants to check out. Overall, 10 out of 10, would definitely stay again.

This hotel was exceptional. Family of ten stayed late July, and each of us was pleased. Breakfast varied enough to satisfy all. Entire hotel and rooms spotless. Everywhere you looked, you saw Tony cleaning and straightening like he worked for the Plaza Hotel. The place is perfectly located, accessible to many restaurants and most conduits on and off Long Island. We could not have been more comfortable.

I’ve stayed at the Residence Inn and the service here is phenomenal! Let me start off by saying the rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained. The staff is kind, respectful and welcoming. There’s a staff member by the name of Johnny G. whom has been exceedingly helpful. Johnny goes above and beyond his duties providing quality service and is a true asset to this hotel.

This is one of the nicest Residence Inn’s I’ve ever stayed at. Very friendly staff, the rooms are clean and modern and the amenities here are great. There is plenty of easy parking all close to an entry door. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

What you’d expect out of a Marriott hotel. Friendly and courteous staff. Rooms were spacious and clean. Plenty of room inside to sprawl out and relax. Pool area looked nice and clean. Breakfast was fantastic! Have stayed here twice this year and will definitely stay again in the future.

Nice new property just adjacent to the Roosevelt Field shopping complex. Rooms are modern and nicely appointed. Very convenient to local highways and several restaurants. We drove about ten minutes to the Village of Garden City for dinner - highly recommend if you are looking for local establishments and it’s very close to the hotel! We’ll be back.

This place is really ideal. The rooms are large, very new looking, close to Roosevelt Field mall and plenty of walking to do if you want to explore. The amenities are great and breakfast crew are incredibly courteous. Will definitely come back.

This hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff was polite and friendly, and the service they provide was excellent! The hotel is in a nice area such that we felt very safe. It is conveniently located proximate to a lot of stores and restaurants. The only negative is that it's not a very walkable area and you really need some type of transporation to get around.

I recently stayed at the Marriott long-term stay at Roosevelt Field. I generally like the place. However, I later found out that there is some type of camera system that is apparently monitoring all the guests I’m not sure why I’ve heard this complaint from several other people, I physically heard someone speak about someone in the room next-door I just spoke to that person She was very surprised and said she would never stay at the hotel again. . I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This is a great hotel for this price! The pictures are very accurate! The room is very clean! The free breakfast isn’t bad either! The employees are friendly and helpful! I will be staying at the location again! The only thing I didn’t like was the route to get to the hotel, it was a little hard to find. But overall, it was a great experience

Clean, spacious, affordable rooms, and close to the mall and restaurants. It would have been absolutely perfect if there were an airport shuttle. But as it is I'm staying here whenever I'm back in the NYC area.

Probably the best Residence Inn suite in the NE. Great front desk service, and huge room laid out so well that we could leave one window unshaded and wake up to natural light! First time in a while that housekeeping was the problem. Our shoes literally stuck to the floor, and surfaces not so clean. Had to get our own wipes to clean. Also mattresses need updating.

The hotel is great, the employees go above and beyond. The only thing is that with over 37 million+ people in the U.S. alone have diabetes and another 84 million + are pre-diabetic. I am not saying to change your breakfast I'm saying have options for others. I asked and the lady in the kitchen tried to see if there was anything else. But another day there was a gentleman there and I asked for something and his reply was that's all we have.

I have found the staff to be terrific and very attentive. The rooms are up to date and modern. It is a really nice place. It's very clean. It has a nice size indoor pool and fitness center. I highly recommend Residence Inn located in Garden City.

Beautiful hotel. Great location if you like to shop (right behind the Roosevelt Fields Mall. Lots of nice amenities (fire pit, putting green, Foosball and billards, refreshments. My only complaint how much chlorine is used in the pool. The pool is located in an enclosed glass room and the smell of the chemicals smacks you in the face when you enter. I get that the chemicals are necessary for sanitary reasons but just a warning if you have sensitive skin or are sensitive to strong smells.

We had a wonderful experience with this Residence Inn. Communication was top notch, staff was very quick to respond. We had a complimentary upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite instead of studio. This made our stay with our 1 year olds so much easier. (Thank you for this.) Rooms were extremely clean. Spotless, in fact. Breakfast buffet was a bit limited, but the staff was very accommodating with trays so that we can eat from our room. We requested extra baby cribs and high chairs and they were more than happy to source it out on the fly. We were deciding between this Residence Inn vs. Springhill Suites and glad we chose this.

The staff here are first class. They just seem to go the extra mile for guests. I need directions to another town not only did they print out the map but written directions. The following morning I wasn't clear about the written directions and the clerk at the desk stopped her admin work and talked me through a short cut to reach a clinic we had to go to. I made sure upon my return that I shouted her praise for what she had done. We arrive at our appointment with time to spare. Even the house keeping staff are super and the restaurant staff member in the morning with a smile a great lady. Our exceptional began at check in. My second time here and I and my wife will certainly return here on our trip to the apple. Way to go Marriott. MR. HARPER

Robert's smile at the front desk is very winning invitation. He creates an entirely comfortable ambiance standing there. Everyone at the front (sorry I forgot the name) is courteous and helpful. The stay was very pleasant and uneventful. On 27Aug, mybfamily and I became homeless in a fire which left us scrambled until this site extended room capacity to my family taking up three suites. The staff and crew were great. If there is any scope for variation, it's minimal and only that traditional bread be included in breakfast so some like myself can indulge in PB&J. 🙏🏻

The night staff was very professional but in the morning during our check out I let the front lady know one of the towels looked like it was full of blood, and she looked at the picture and said NOTHING, I’m not sure if she treated us differently because we used our free night but we have been using lots of Marriott hotels for years all over the US Im sure she can see that. I almost used that towel with our baby thinking it was new like the rest of the towels. We just wanted a simple apology to make ourselves feel better after almost using it with out baby. Breakfast, pool, gym and the room were really nice

Although the hotel is brand new and clean, the management team is not the most organized. They can do better with their payment processes and how they communicate them to customers, especially if purchased through 3rd party companies like booking.com. I've stayed at this location twice and enjoyed the convenience of the hotel's location and cleanliness. But unfortunately, due to a lack of organization and poor communication skills, I am choosing to no longer return to this hotel when I am in New York.
