Be careful!! Premium room and standard room differ only in price. We paid for 3 nights for premium ocean view room and got a regular rooftop view room. It cost over € 200 per night. The air conditioning was not working. Bad smell of damp, no ventilation in the bathroom. One towel for two people! Pool water was cloudy. When we asked for cost equalization the lady (M.Cole - guest relations ) replied that there was a high occupancy rate, and she would not return the money. I will right to administration office because hotel and service standards do not correspond to the chain's requirements ! Traders were hanging around at the parking, offering to pay for the car. We were afraid that the car would be stolen . I advise you to avoid this difficult place..

The Radisson in Freetown has lost much of its former glory. There clearly hasn't been much maintenance, either in the rooms or in public areas. The breakfast is OK, but not great. The tennis courts are unusable and in the gym only some of the equipment works. All in all, not worth what they charge....

I had the misfortune to be ill while staying here and guest services, particularly Jacqueline, took really good care of me, phone to check on me regularly and really going above and beyond. I’ve stayed here several times and always found the service good. However the quality of meals, particularly evening meals, could really be improved. The pizza is terrible. Several other dishes could be described as average at best. Breakfast is good, Especially with a freshly cooked omelette. It’s always a clean place and air con works well. I think the staff really make it what it is, shame the food is not to the same high standard.

I've been to the hotel multiple times and the service is generally good. The breakfast buffet is ok and offers diverse choices. However, eating at the restaurant can be a hassle because of how long it can take to get your meal. There are few employees who stand out in terms of their willingness to go above amd beyond the call of duty to make guests very comfortable. These include David, a concierge, Patrick, who works at the restaurant at the lower level of the building, and Marion, a waiter who was around during breakfast.

Nice rooms, vomfy beeds. The only minus is that the Ac is very loud and at night you can feel some vibrations from the street i guess. Very close walking distance to Freetown Lumley Beach. Breakfast is good, lunch so so and dinner was better than lunch.

It's an average three star hotel with reasonable services but at a premium cost. It certainly is just across the road from Beach and beachside bars. A good option if you plan to stay in Free Town. Though you will have to take a 30 plus minutes ferry to reach to this hotel from FREETOWN international Airport. The sunsets at the beach is asgood as anywhere else with humid and at time hot or so to say tropical conditions and temperatures. The place has swimming pool and reasonable dinner and breakfast options as well. A bit more additions can make it qualify for a 4 star because all the basics are there but it perhaps needs a bit more administrative arm with some investment but will they do is not sure. So live and enjoy the way it is. Don't expect high speed Internet as you might get basic or reasonable Internet in the lobby but poor in your rooms especially in rooms up and above second floor. Chill and relax ad see what you can in Free Town.

The staff at the Baw Baw beach bar is truly awful accept for Patrick. I have been stopping by to study for over a year now. Patrick always checks on my wellbeing. The other staff will hardly check on my well-being and always have an attitude. The staff at the restaurant is truly professional and the front desk that staff is helpful.

The staff all are amazing . The hotel owner needs the rugs cleaned on all floors. The bathrooms need to be cleaned with beach not fabulouso. The main a/c for the building needs to be cleaned asap ! Fans in the room broken balcony doors. No sir take the money made from the large group that just stayed and up grade top to bottom not to much just minor things . The staff like I said they are amazing. Breakfast is the best I've ever had !!! They have cute snacks and tea daily in lobby. Very nice folks. I hope to return in the time the improvements be made .

I arrived at the this hotel and checked in, upon checking in I was never notified that the air conditioning system is down, the room has 1 towel and no wash clothes at all when I arrived. this is the worst hotel experience EVER! I was told someone would come to my room to fix the air conditioning, however I’m being given the run around then I was told by the night manager that I would be able to change rooms today I was told my room would be ready by 3pm 12/6 Again when I inquired of my room would be ready I was told something completely different. The managers refuse to accommodate in any way with little to no empathy. If I was given fair warning I would have checked in to another hotel. I have worked in the hotel business for over 7yrs and have never experienced such a lack of concern for their guests. How can someone be expected to stay in a 85 degree room for over 10days . Radisson blu mammy yoko needs to do better . I will not be returning. People work hard for their money to be wasted . and this hotel has ruined my experience of visiting with my daughter. TERRIBLE!!! This is totally unacceptable.

Very beautiful hotel often stay here when I'm in from the US. I spent a lot of time at the downstairs bar and lounge. Robert, Max and Samba run a great bar and are very attentive. The food is awesome. I recommend anyone to stay here at least one night for the experience.

Only visited the hotel to experience the restaurant and leisure facilities. Definitely thumbs up for the restaurant: i had the largest, tastiest tiger prawn which would have easily wrestled a lobster in a sumo wrestling match to the ground. Service was good. Thumbs down for facilities and general maintenance. Who would have known Mammy Yoke had undergone a lavish Renovation just under 10 years ago. I would! It looks like a soviet era bunker and fittings half hanging from the ceilings half pleased with themselves that they are not attached to peeling paint. The concrete imprint flooring around the swimming pool gives a sense of a carpark and the pool itself is so cloudy it resembles melted ice-cream or chicken soup. The poolside toilets were gross. The replacement toilet seat in the mens was half the size of the original toilet. Let's not talk about the smell. The planting in the grounds was well done creating a lush tropical vista. I'm not sure how or if the hotel still retains a 5 star but would question if they were only given this if compared to a hamster hutch.

Great location if you are thinking of walking distance to the beach. Staff are also very friendly and efficient. Great walking space within the hotel

New comment after Management's response below. Dear Manager, Please note my review below was to express my dissatisfaction with the way my lost item report was handled during my recent stay at your hotel. Although I appreciate the effort made by your staff to locate my lost mascara, my main concern is with the manner in which my report was handled. Firstly, I was disappointed that my initial report was not taken seriously. The staff member at reception did not seem to understand the importance of my lost item, and I was not given any assurance that my report would be followed up. (Note nobody reached out despite me having left my contact details). I found this lack of concern very unprofessional and it left me feeling frustrated. Secondly, I was not happy to receive the mascara. I was surprised that it was miraculously found despite being told by Jacqline that nothing was found. This is unacceptable, and it has left me feeling that my experience at your hotel was not up to the standard I expected. I hope that you this feedback seriously and take steps to improve the handling of lost item reports at your hotel as well as guest relations. ************** Very bad experience! Jackline is her name. Doesn't deserve her position as guest relations manager. Some item was stolen from my room. I made a report and was promised prompt feedback. Checked out, no feedback 2 days later. Came back to Radisson 2 days later for a new check in and also follow up. The surprise on Jackline's face when I mentioned my stolen property and lack of feedback. She first said she wasn't aware, then I reminded her that I filed the report with her. The story changed to the security manager looking into this. I asked to confirm that the security manager was in truth looking into this. She changed her tone, and bluntly lied she is going to get the manager for me. 30mins, 1hr + no manager came. I expected better. I even told the front desk I was more offended about the tone and the lies than I was about my stolen item. Stay away from Radisson. In case you can't, lock your bags. Total disclosure, the item was part of my make up kit.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko in Freetown, and I can confidently say that it was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and friendly welcome from the staff, who went out of their way to make me feel at home. The rooms at the Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko are modern, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. I was blown away by the stunning ocean views from my room, which made for a truly unforgettable stay. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and had all the amenities I needed to feel comfortable and relaxed. One of the standout features of the Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko is the food. The hotel has several dining options, including a fantastic buffet breakfast with a wide variety of delicious options. I also had the chance to try out the hotel's restaurant, which serves up some of the best seafood I've ever had. The bar is a great place to relax and unwind after a long day, and the cocktails are expertly crafted. Another highlight of the hotel is the pool area, which is a beautiful oasis with plenty of comfortable sun loungers and umbrellas. I spent many afternoons lounging by the pool, taking in the stunning views and enjoying the warm Freetown weather. Overall, I would highly recommend the Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable stay in Freetown. With its stunning ocean views, comfortable rooms, delicious food, and relaxing pool area, it truly has everything you need for a perfect getaway.

The hotel is one of the largest hotels in Freetown. The staff is wonderful and the place is very comfortable. They are olanning tondo renovations so it will be even better and have a more modern feel.

The reception are not user friendly..I booked for shuttle but when I arrived my shuttle was not booked… Four of them are just in front but they all be waiting at one pc delaying to assist you.. I booked for return shuttle but I was told to be ready but 3H30 AM but when I get to the reception I was told that the shuttle will be available from 04H30. The service in this place is insane..that’s the first horrible experience that I have experienced in all the Raddison that I have ever been ..there’s no way that I’m coming back to this place.too expensive for nothing…

The reception is NOT customer friendly. They would rather make you feel as if you are more difficult than render services expected/paid for. You guys do better with the brand

Dirty, dark, very cheap food. No air conditioning (they have it but it doesn’t work properly from all rooms).

The hotel mgmt should be ashamed for the conditions of the hotel! My allergies were off the charts! I had to go outside to allow my sinuses to clear. There were roaches in the room refrigerator and crawling across dining room tables. Big, flying palmetto roaches in my room, mold and mildew in my shower, mold in the ceiling tile, bodily fluids on the room bathroom floor and walls, dust and debris in the carpets, dimmly lit rooms. Just horrible! The kitchen HAS TO BE unfit to serve food! I'll NEVER recommend staying there.

Decent hotel, good security, staff are hit and miss - seems sometimes they’ll interact positively but other times they just stare without greeting. Occasionally felt that weird feeling, when you wonder whether you are asking staff to do their job or some kind of ultra demand favour, which has put them right out. And this might be something like ‘my key card doesn’t work’ The suites are not worth it in anyway for the price difference, rather drab and unwelcoming. Still this is the hotel of choice in the area as it’s the only brand - hats of to Raddison for once again holding a monopoly in a west African country. Still for all my griping above the food was ok, and the security was needed so… unless something better comes along… kinda stuck with each other.

Stayed there for only one night, overall a very good experience! I loved the ambience, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were great. Rad. Blue has maintained their international standards at this nook of the world. Would stay there, again when I return.

Old and ugly. A/C is giving +24 as a minimum, strong smell of dampness in the room. Staff is rude and not friendly. Avoid this place.

Check in process was soo slow and uncoordinated but the manager assisted at some point was given a room whose door and amenities were not working. Breakfast had spoilt watermelon juice which was taken away after alerting the staff and was served a raw beef burger. Dinner took too long to come through Miscommunication between the hotel with the sea coach team The hotel needs to improve. There was no value for money.

I am thankful to the wonderful and outstanding staff. The front desk is class-A accommodating and the restaurant staff as well. My family have stayed here many times and the staff have treated us like family. We will definitely be staying again soon.

Large comfortable rooms, good WiFi throughout the hotel. Food is good and beach bars are a short distance away.

The hotel lost its appeal. Used to be a good hotel, but this seems long gone. Slow and bad service everywhere, not friendly. Even as a regular customer i got the worst room beside the generator. I guess they lost there good workforce they used to have during covid and cut cost. Its very sad

Stayed at this hotel before leaving to spend time with the family. The staff were great and the facilities really good compared to other hotels in the country that I have stayed.

Hotel amenities are okay but not at the level you'd expect at a Radisson Blu. With the exception of breakfast the meal choices are pretty limited, and actually pretty bad. Decent place to stay but you gotta eat elsewhere.

Checking in to Radisson after a not so great experience was a welcome relief during my trip. Really great service from the staff (front desk, kitchen staff and house keeping) and in my opinion, they were exceptional. Location wise, this is unbeatable as one can walk to the beach for an evening stroll if needed. Additionally, there are tons of restaurants just down the round serving everything from other African food to grilled fish. That said, I was shocked at some of the products offered in the bathroom as toiletries as these were below expected standard of the brand (see photos of the shampoo & shower gel). Overall, this hotel is one of the best in Freetown and can't be recommended enough.

First and foremost, Patrick Ansuwawa, Prince Bangura, and the staff at this hotel are superb! Attentive, responsive, and courteous. But, The Radisson Hotel itself needs some money put into it. Better AC, carpets needed cleaning or removal, the iron and kettle don't work, they obviously need more towels, and the events they have on property need to have some kind of noise restrictions after midnight. It's a safe and expansive property across from the beach but it's definitely not a private beach. I could stay here again but I'd make sure it's at a 3 Star price.
