I had an amazing time at Stafford Lodge. The staff was professional and catered to all of my needs. This is the first place have stayed that felt like home. My friend and I were even invited to the staff party and we had a great time. I know I will be returning again for sure. Perfect location I felt very very safe. If you are looking for a place to be incognito, this is definitely the place for you. The rooms were cleaned and this is the only hotel that your sheets can get changed often. The food from the kitchen was delicious.

The staff was amazing. I would like a little bit more variety of food from the restaurant. The food was very flavorful. The bar was very well priced and stocked. Anything I needed the staff was able to provide. The room was clean. Our air conditioner stopped working but the staff was able to fix it right away. I had a great vacation. Dorian and Desmond did an excellent job with providing us a great experience on our journey home. I would recommend staying there and taking the journey that they provide. I miss it already.

Hands down the best guest house in Freetown. The staff and owners go over and beyond the call of duty in their delivery of good customer service and making the guest feel at home. I arrived in December and 4 months later I'm finally checking out. I haven't missed a workout because of the gym on site. I have had amazing cooked meals and the scenic view at night is breathtaking. Definitely a must stay.

Had a really nice stay at Stafford Lodge! The rooms were super cute, clean and spacious :-) The food was very good…especially the Callaloo dish (my favorite), and the breakfast was good too…loved the waffles and potatoes, especially. The Staff all were always very nice and accommodating….and the Owners are simply beautiful people. You really feel like home with this hotel. We will definitely be back!

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect lodging experience than that of my recent stay at Stafford Lodge. The Turays and their staff provided exceptional service, made me feel right at home in their beautiful lodge, and were very attentive to my needs. The location not only boasts a breathtaking sunrise and sunset view of Freetown, but also provided an indescribable sense of peace. Dori's attention to detail prior to my arrival, throughout my stay, and even with following up after my return home was phenomenal! I look forward to a return visit to Freetown and the Stafford Lodge.

Great experience, would definitely recommend. Attentive and friendly staff. They took care of the airport transfer and the water taxi, also arranging transportation from the Aberdeen dock to the hotel. Nice location too, quiet and relax and 5-10 minute away from the busy downtown. Room was big and clean with great views from the balcony.

I recently stayed at the Stafford Lodge for a week. The entire staff were friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. The food served in the restaurant downstairs was delicious and served quickly. Dori and Desmond, the owners, planned all of our tours and activities. They and their staff made sure that we got to each location on time and safely. They set us up with an AMAZING, very knowledgeable tour guide named Bassie, and the most talented photographer named Eve. They were both very instrumental for us during our stay. When the weren't guiding us or taking photos, they were serving us. Everyone we encountered was so hospitable. They all welcomed us and made us feel like family. This trip was incredible, and I can honestly say that it was so; because of the planning and execution by the staff of the Stafford Lodge. We learned and experienced so much of what Sierra Leone has to offer through the tours planned for us. I would absolutely go back to the Stafford Lodge.

West side of Freetown. Hiked up to Leicester Peak to watch the sunset and watched the sunrise from the balcony. Completed a Keke tour of the city. The hosts of this lodge Desmond and Dori , as well as their staff, have put their hearts and soul into this amazing place. They make you feel at home. If I could give them more stars, I would. They're accommodating. This is definitely a place to try. Ready to book another vacation here already.

We just completed our fourth stay. We send a group from our church every six months and we always stay here. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Definitely the place to stay when in Freetown.

My stay was amazing because of the lovely and caring people around. The staff and the owners,I mean the D.D (Dori and Desmond) team are all friendly and accommodating. You guys really made me feel at home ,with your breakfast and because of your programming of the tv stations I didn’t suffer at all etc …. The tour moments with Mohamed was so fun and the last part was with Mr Desmond where he shares some healthy issues with me . I wish I could stay for a longer period but time doesn’t permit me.In all Stafford you’re superb .

I don’t even know where to begin, I had an amazing solo trip in Sierra Leone at the stafford Lodge. Accommodations in Sierra Leone is never up to par so my husband and I decided to build our own home. Luckily I came across the stafford Lodge while looking for something close to the site where I am building. The owners Dorie and Desmond are some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. Dorie cares greatly about her guest and understands the importance of basic things like having a running hot shower with good pressure, making sure the generator kicks in immediately if the power goes off in the country. The simple things that other places don’t care to focus on she does. I was comfortable for once while in Sierra Leone, which is rare for me. I appreciate all the staff and all that they’ve done for me during my stay. Thank you fatti and Alie at the front desk. There is a hill coming down the guest house; at first that’s kinda scary but the place is located in hill station, it’s expected, when my driver took me up and down other hills, I realized it was nothing. I highly recommend stafford lodge for a comfortable accommodation and amenities you’ll find in the states.

I had the great pleasure of staying at the Stafford Lodge for one month. The accommodations were exceptional. The room I was provided was complete with air conditioning and a smart TV.   The hotel is kept immaculately clean and housekeeping services are provided every single day.  During my stay there The Stafford Lodge staff treated me  with great care providing excellent customer service 24/7. Their services provided include laundering and ironing as needed. For your stay in Freetown,  Sierra Leone I would recommend that you stay at the Stafford Lodge. Dori & Desmond Turay and their incredible staff will treat you like royalty.

They are so superb in hospitality. Highly friendly Owners and staffs demonstrating high level of courtesy. They are not adamant to change but always willing to go extra miles to make customers comfortable and satisfied. We felt really at home with them.
