Well below par. Upon arrival on Saturday night, the youngster serving us seemed more obsessed with whether we were vaccinated or not rather than actually providing a decent service. His first words instead of being "welcome" or some such were "have you been vaccinated?" ("Sind Sie geimpft?") in frankly, quite a patronising tone. I was tempted to have a word with him outside, but refrained. His service was terrible. I ordered a White Russian which, after almost an hour failed to materialise. After asking him numerous times regarding the whereabouts of my drink he retorted that it was Saturday night and that drinks take longer than usual to prepare. I don't care what day of the week it is - it doesn't take an hour to prepare one drink. Extraordinary. When it finally arrived I told them to take it back, paid for the other drinks (which did actually arrive earlier) and left. Lame music played too loudly in this place too - Maria is definitely one bar in Freiburg to avoid at all costs.

I waited for way over 40 minutes here at a table this evening and no one attended to me. At first I thought they must've forgot and I thought I'd just wait a bit. Or you know, maybe they have a different protocol. But waiters were attending to people sitting just around me (it was a round table) And then I thought even if you forgot or thought you'd attended to me, I'd expect waiters to check in with the table they're serving to see how it was going. Which would then reveal oh, no one has served me. Well that didn't happen. I don't know the explanation and I don't care. I just know I wanted to get some drinks and food and have a chill evening by myself and that didn't happen. Instead, I got upset.

The food was great and fast served. When it started raining we could hide underneath an umbrella. The service was always really friendly. I would come again. Highly recommend.

The best best burger we've eaten - we shared Quarter Pounder as 2 people and it was enough and was absolutely delicious!

Order taken at around 7:45. No food came until 8:25. When asked about how long will it take, the waitress said "it will probably take a little while". The waitress herself was friendly, i know she can't do anything about it but this place is a joke. We then cancelled our order (after the waitress went to the kitchen to ask if we CAN cancel it) We did pay for our drinks, even tho it could have been offered for free as an apology.Not even highend restaurants take sooo long to cook. So long story short if you have time to waist over an hour for a burger then go ahead.

First of all i want to make clear that we do not eat meat. I cannot make assumptions about the quality of their original non vegeterian burgers. We tried the vegetarian "pioneer" and the "halumi" burger. It was mediocre and not something worth mentioning. The materials they used were just not bonding with each other. BUT 13.5€ for each burger, i have to say that it was totally overpriced.There are other places in Freiburg, even well known burger chains that charge you less and their burgers taste much better. We knew that by reputation this restaurant would be expensive, but we were expecting something that would worth its price. We are not planning unfortunately to visit this place again.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, food was great, and the vibe was comfy (: the pickles are quite good and come on the burgers and chicken sandwiches

Located at the very heart of the city behind the university, it is a wonderful place with a café-like vibe. The burgers are delicious and served surprisingly with choice of fries! Alternatively, can also go for fries and the people were happy to customise it a little with additional sauces! The staff is also generally nice. There is a broad selection of beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic to choose from as well. It does tend to get full pretty soon and finding a spot might be an issue, though we’ve generally been fortunate enough to not have to wait too long. Must visit!

1st time in Freiburg and found this restaurant for lunch. Food was high quality and delicious. Also the price was very good. Next time I'm in town I will make sure to stop in. Note: the food comes very fast so don't order until your ready.

I was craving chicken burger and since I was at the city I remembered my Friend had recommended the place to have very good burgers. I decided to go and give it a try. The fries at this place were amazing. The best I ever had in Freiburg. I was disappointed with the burger itself. They used a chicken steak instead of burger patties. Unfortunately I had a take out and was not able to question that. Is this a new trend or what?

The cocktails were pretty expensive but beer and shots were good price! The staff was really friendly though. Time well spent 👍

lots of burgers! burgers are filling and tasty. I can't really recommend chicken and vegan/veggie options, otherwise quite alright. They make a killer gin campari sour, ask for it!

3 years ago, it was good. But recently, the quality and portion are a little bit down-graded. Staff in general are friendly and efficient.

Nice vibe, great burgers with huge portions. Prices are reasonable. The service took a little long, but they where just very busy I guess.

The place is nice. The sevice changes a lot from during the day to night shifts. Food is quite sizable. The hygene isnt of the highest level and the beer sometimes comes quite warm. The radler is horrible

Since we’re there only lunchtime, so we‘ve never experienced long time waiting. Various choice of drinks. This place is always my fav. Burger in Freiburg.

Nice cute vibe at the night of a European cafe on the cobblestoned street. Had a football match playing on the TV in the background inside, which was nice. I had the Vegetarian Pioneer burger with Chilli Cheese fries. The patty was slightly crunchy outside and soft inside and worked well with sauces/cheese inside the burger. The Chilli cheese fries had a good amount of cheese and spicy jalapenos. Overall, the food was really good!

Average burgers .. I would only recommend their DELICIOUS curly fries !!

I had a steak burger which was different but delicious and will be coming back to try the patty ones.
