This is a museum that I wholeheartedly recommend visiting. Inside, you will discover a remarkable collection of old and exceptionally ancient locomotives, along with an array of captivating miniature models and other intriguing exhibits. Upon my arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to coincide with a jazz band concert, which is a common occurrence at this museum. The ticket price is 6 euros, but during the concert events, it goes up to 11 euros. It's an experience well worth the price, offering a delightful blend of history, culture, and live entertainment.

Great museum to visit, on arrival Bernadette, who couldn't speak a word of English, was able to give us all the information we requested by pointing to posters, we began our walk around the museum when a guide named Philip joined us, sent by Bernadette, to explain all to us, he was excellent a d went over and beyond to assist us. A great day had by all.

FANTASTIC!!! Got a wonderful tour of all the old trains, and talk to a couple of engineers who drove ALL of the trains. It was so interesting and amazing. Best of all, it was very similar to museums my uncle and I went to back in the USA.

Mild State of disrepair... It's currently not being used as the museum.

All model railroads were broken and all trains are to be enjoyed from a distance. There is a small kids area that is fun for the little ones. You won’t need much more time than an hour .

Very remarkable and authentic museum with old locomotives even from 19th century…

Not the biggest locomotive collection but definitely interesting. You can walk all around the engines and even get inside of some. The museum is located in a roundhouse, which adds to the experience. Train enthusiast or not, if you are near Salzburg, you won't regret visiting Lokwelt. Its also kid-friendly.

Very good museum, small but we'll displayed. I missed explanations in English and more demonstrations of the train models, specially considering that the opening days are limited
