Other than our tour guy being TIRED and half—— the tour, we made the most of this experience! I was intrigued as a child of the prohibition era and thought how neat this surprise was. Thanks, Melissa! Absolutely loved the atmosphere - very intimate and beautiful lighting.

Such a fun experience!! The owner of the speakeasy is actually who takes you through the introduction to the bar and is your host as well. He brings his dog to work, we love that. Lots of history and fun things to look at. Very unique drinks and the bartender was awesome. Only $12/drink!! I can see why it’s one of the top speakeasies in the US!

First time visit for me, brought my Mother from out of town and my Wife to the library at Detention. Had an absolute fantastic time with our bartender Robert! He made amazing old fashioned's, and Tom Collins as well! Love the secret entry, and the nice little lesson on Temperance (forgive the spelling) and Prohibition. Definitely a fun spot, will be back again for sure.

What a cool place! A friend of mine brought me here for the first time this past Saturday, what a pleasant surprise! I did not expect it to be such an authentic speakeasy vibe. The host was really kind, the drinks were great, and the atmosphere was just one of a kind! We will be back!

The bartender really knew his craft, and the owner was a great guy. His dog stole my heart. The vibe there is just great. Will be back again!

Went here for my birthday because I love vintage and a speakeasy was a cool idea. You are first walked to a "waiting area" where a guy gives you the history of a speakeasy. There was a lot of cool historical books on Fresno. He then said if we want drinks weed need to go to the bar which was a completely different room at the end of the hall, after which we got comfortable sitting on the sofas. The bathroom was terrible. No decor, very dirty and looks like they made no effort to renovate it from when it was originally built. One of the bartenders was very nice, I think he was a co-owner and he was friendly. The second bartender was standoffish and rude. He started grabbing my presents and looking at them without my permission. The drinks were not good. I asked for something sweet and they did not deliver. The drinks were expensive and they promote them as handcrafted drinks that take time to make each one, yet the drinks were brought out immediately as if they were pre-made batches. No one in my party liked their drinks and we went elsewhere to enjoy the rest of the night.

The drinks were delicious! I liked how secretive the place is and it’s really cool how to enter this bar. I appreciate the reservations only to ensure a more intimate experience. There are no photos allowed in bar area but designated areas for photos which made things more special and intimate.

It's a speakeasy and you need to make reservations. You will learn some history when you are greeted by the owner. Then you will enjoy some fine craft cocktails as you relax in the bar and explore the nooks.

Very unique and enjoyable experience at this speakeasy in The Tower District. From the moment your reservation begins to when you walk out the back steps is such a great evening. I like that one of the bartenders gives you a humorous and informative introduction to the history of speakeasies. We enjoyed every drink we ordered and I liked the updates to the seating area. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Honestly I had high expectations for this place.Past reviews were good so I went in expecting a good experience. That was not the case. When we arrived and entered the secret door and learned about prohibition things were good. Then they took us to the bar and everything went south quickly. There was a group of guys apparently a bachelor party being extremely LOUD.The dress code didn't apply to them.A few times I had to loudly ask them to move so I could enter our booth. The bartender not sure if he was trying to play a role/part was being unnecessarily passive aggressive. The drink list was nothing to brag aboutFor the amount of money I paid and the experience I received so not worth it.Will not be returning and would think twice about recommending it to others.

Neat place. Nice experience. A lot of high prices. There's a charge per person just to get in, but the "tour" is fun. Still kinda weird that there was a charge to have pictures taken, AFTER the charge to get in. Usually that's covered by entry fee? Then the cocktails... You'd think with such a simple menu, that the prices would be lower, but no. Higher than any other place in fresno. Still, I want to go back. Maybe I missed something. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff was excellent. I want to say it's worth it. I'll be increasing or decreasing my review after my second visit.
