One of the best old-school Italian eateries in Fresno. Lunch has more affordable prices but these days everywhere is expensive. The spaghetti sauce is so comforting, so old-world and inviting that it feels like you're coming home to visit family instead of going out to eat. No time to write a better review. As of 2022 lunch is $15-low 20's, dinner $20-30 per person

Great pizzeria - dining area was very clean and inviting. Ordered the bruschetta and a margarita pizza, both were fantastic

My family and I arrive here on a rainy Wednesday night about 8:15 in the evening for our first visit. We walked into the dining area and were advised they were close to closing (they close at 9) the dining area. Then the waitress advised us we can sit in the bar area, or sit in the dining area it was our choice; but they were closing or fixing to close that area. I have a 14 year old son so sitting in the bar area wasn't ideal, but we really felt we had absolutely no choice even though she told us we did. So we went into the bar area where Jason (I hope that's his name, I think it is) was waiting to help us once we seated ourselfs in the booth. We placed our order which was for mozzarella stick appetizer for the table, a small margarita pizza for me, a medium meat pizza for my son, and a steak sandwich for my husband. It took longer than expected for the mozzarella sticks, and longer for the meal it's self. I am thinking the reason why it took so long was due to the time. When the pizzas were brought out we were advised that the pizzas were made wrong by the owner. My pizza which should have been small was made a medium, and my son's was made a small instead of medium. The problems with this is that is not what we ordered; I know how much I can eat and no way in the world can I eat a medium pizza ever by myself!! The other issue is my teenage son has a bottomless pit for a stomach, so there is no way a small will fill him up. They offered to make him another small, which my son took them up on their offer. Sadly I wasn't able to finish my pizza and it later went to waste as it was truly too much food for me. My husband said his sandwich would have been good if it wasn't for the pile of lettuce they added to his sandwich; as he said it was more lettuce than meat and cheese. My son did enjoy his pizza, as did I. What made this experience enjoyable was our waiter. Even though we were privy to bar talk (the bartender speaking on how she will not marry her boyfriend due to his credit) that a 14 year old son shouldn't hear, it made for a good "This is what you shouldn't do" lesson for some of the things we heard. I hope to go back, and if the experience is better I will gladly update this waiting. But as it stands if it wasn't for our waiter it would have been a different rating due to the entire experience.

Really really really good calzones. Little pricey but honestly half of it fills you up and you have a meal for tomorrow, and no I'm not exaggerating. Pizza was good too, havnt tried the pasta but their marinara sauce alone is good. Bar is nice and staff are friendly. Additional parking in rear of building

Friendly and welcoming.....The linguine rustica is out of this world....I had them add chicken......The sauce was made with plum tomatoes which gave it a fresh twist and roasted garlic, yum .....

This was our first and last time at this restaurant. We sat down, atmosphere was nice, waitress gave us some bread and butter while we looked at the menu. The bread was very hard and we were given butter that wasn't even melted in a plastic cup. This set the tone for the rest of our experience here. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and the bathroom was quite disgusting with a soap dispenser that didn't work properly. We ordered a veggie calzoni and lasagna. The calzoni was a bit tough to bite into and the flavor was just ok. Definitely not worth the $22+ especially since there was quite a bit of empty space inside. They were definitely stingy with the filling. They also gave a styrofoam cup (lol) of marinara sauce along with it. They were really pushing the fact that the marinara was "homemade" in the menu and on their website, but it tasted very tarty and something like from a can. The lasagna was ok, but the pasta tasted overcooked and the overall texture was mushy. None of the food tasted bad, but it definitely was NOT worth the price we paid and definitely not worth going a second time.

Excellent place to have dinner with family and friends or enjoy yourself with friends, family and have the best of both world's eating and drinking in there lounge,,plus don't forget short on time call in and make your order or if you have a bigger get together call in your order and have it catered for your party and trust me it will be to your satisfaction and the rest of your party. as well. 100 percent satisfied customer for over 42 years and counting. I came in at 12, there were 3 people at the bar that were already serviced. The bar server/waitress did not greet us nor serve us anything for 20 minutes. We went to the front to ask if they were open, it was not busy. I use to come here often, I will no longer recommend this restaurant nor will I ever dine in. That was very disrespectful to ignore customers and have them wait for 20mins so you can just talk. I would understand if it was busy.

Just had a bday dinner for my sister, party of 11. The food was soooo super delicious and Chris our waiter was AMAZING!!!! We can't wait to come back! Thank you for having us!

Super dark like Bar more than a pizzeria. Calamari was cold and like a fish stick shape and size not natural

We were in town to celebrate a birthday. There was 12 of us which can be difficult to accommodate. We called in advance and it was so easy to set up dinner. The food was absolutely incredible. The service was exceptional. Chris was beyond amazing. We appreciated everything that he did for us. He is truly an asset to the restaurant. We will definitely be coming back when we are in town to visit. Thank you for making it a great night with great food, and staff! Easy to see why this restaurant is still thriving. Had my birthday dinner here at Mike's Pizzeria and it was so good!! Our server Chris did a excellent job and took care of all my guests needs was nice and down to earth...thank thank for the wonderful experience....

Everything was awesome the food the drinks even the vibe from the customers awesome. Tall skinny waitress was rude as hell. I tipped the cook and the bartender. Tall skinny waitress sucks and kills the vibe. The male wait staff way better....

Excellent personal service from chef.. Every time I go in. He speaks to me as if I have known him forever..u don't get that, personal service in the big chains..there food is very authentic Italian..the grilled chicken salad and the veggie calzone are real good. As my husband is vegetarian it's kinda hard to find good vegetarian plates..we really like Mikes..

I generally never do Google reviews, but thought I’d give this place a shout out. I was there for the first time today for lunch with five other coworkers. Cool vibe, friendly service, and good food, and to top it all off, some unidentified patron very kindly and generously anonymously paid for all of our lunches. A very selfless and impressive gesture in a world where that kind of character seems to be pretty rare. Thanks much to this unnamed patron, and thanks to Mike’s for the great food and service! I will be visiting again.

We ordered the Mike's combination pizza and it had everything you could want in a pizza. The crust was crispy, the ingredients were fresh, and the taste was amazing! The waiter was super cool and very attentive to all the customers. I'll definitely come here again soon.
