Wood bridge over the Sarine river at the old town of Fribourg, a very charming and very well preserved middle age city with two languages speaking: French and German.

Beautiful historical city centre to visit. 4 hours to plan for the all tour. I recommend you park the car at the old ice rink car park and walk around. There is share and nice bench for picnics. Better to visit in the afternoon for photographers amateurs.

Short bridge with a view of the river and the town

It is not that close from the main station so if you decide to walk it might take you up to half an hour to get there. If you are on a time crunch, catch line 4 and get off the bus when you reach the stop called "Fribourg Palme" (10 mins approximately). The original bridge dates from mid-13th century. The one you see now dates from 1650's. It is the last covered bridge in Fribourg and it has a lot of traffic so pay attention and don't get too distracted taking pics!

Below Berne Bridge was an olde world feel. Did not stop in central Berne very busy.
