We had a brief stop at Koshu Hoto Kosaku while visiting Fuji 🗻. Me and my friend ordered the spicy beef kalbi Hoto and duck dish. Both were great. I liked the spicy beef one as it was more flavorful. 🍜 Service was great, they got us English menu and followed up on any requests.

We got some hoto noodles here for the first time. They were delicious and hearty. The restaurant had a relaxed feel and staff were all very accommodating. The peach sherbet and kabocha ice cream desserts were amazing. Beautiful presentation and delicious flavor - these desserts would not have been out of place at the end of a high-end kaiseki meal.

Service was just average. The soup was good with miso taste, full of ingredients. Noodle called ‘houtou’ was just ok. I’d like to try ‘suiton’- like round-shape pasta next time.

Really good ! I would prefer something more meaty but the dish was really well cooked and delicious by all means !

Make sure you are good to sit on the floor during dining.

Try the hotpot. They're tasty and you can't find them in Tokyo

The Houtou here is delicious. It is a bit pricey but the amount is big.
