Dining here was quite an experience. Great ambiance and wonderful food to boot. Customer service is also top notch. Our server was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu offerings. Definitely recommending it as a place for special occasions or a romantic date. You won't be disappointed.

We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday here. The interior was so attractive and the food was amazing! They served us complimentary birthday dessert and the gift which I sent them in advance. We were so impressed with their professional service!! I appreciate it.

Utterly delightful restaurant featuring exquisite continental cuisine. The renowned bar serves impeccable cocktails with a bespoke Cellar twist. Everything on the menu is phenomenal and can be paired with the perfect wine. This gorgeous setting is only exceeded by the attentive and talented staff!

Real unique experience. I thought half the fun was having to look for the restaurant. Good luck! The food was very tasty. Let's start off by saying the bread is amazing, and you'll have to stop yourself from filling up on it. Everything we ordered seemed to be prepared and cooked perfectly. Love the dark, moody atmosphere. They have a bar as you walk in off to the right, and that's also where the bathrooms are located. The bathrooms are also spectacular. The doors alone are majestic. Really great experience. Highly recommend.

We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday on a Saturday night. We parked at the parking structure across the street for free. It is very easy to make reservations on open table, if you fail to make it to the reservations, the restaurant will charge you $40 per person. I was not aware the cellar was designed in the 60s by someone that created the pirates of the Caribbean. And so many people mentioned the place is hard to find, it got me nervous that we wouldn't make it to the restaurant on time. After walking by somisomi, you will walk through a gate into a plaza, and the restaurant is located at the end of the hallway to the right. There is a very dark staircase going down into a very dark place. The vibe is very unique with the whole restaurant built underneath in the basement. Watch your steps! Not sure if it's just me, but the place smells a little like dampness or urine..... Salty food alert We ordered bunch of food to try. Cocktail: 5 stars He ordered the odyssey, he mentioned one of the best cocktail. Not overly sweet bur great flavors. Appetizers : Escargot with mushrooms and puff pastry - 2 stars I got so excited for the escargot and puff pastry combo!!! However, I have tried Escargot multiple places, this is the first place Escargot failed me. There is no butter or garlic flavors but salt, a lot of salt. It is too salty to eat. Thank God, the server brought some warm bread, dipping with bread and butter, we managed to ignore the saltiness. Lobster bisque - 4 stars Very very tasty Lobster bisque with small chunks of Lobster. Order one bowl to split for sharing is a must, it feels quite rich and salty at the end. Main course: Salmon with black rice : 2 stars The salmon is something that I can easily make at home, rice is tasty but it gets very salty at the end. Lamb shank: 2 stars The lamb meat is cooked long enough to fall off the bones. However, very salty flavors and kinda gamey. We started to doubt ourselves at this point.... Is our taste broken or this chef very heavy on the salt?? Brussel Sprouts : 2 stars The type of Brussels Sprout easily to make at home with honey, nothing special. But it helped us to balance the rest of the food since they are sooooooo salty. Also 6 glasses of water really help. Chocolate souffle with caramel sauce: 4 stars It is hot and fresh and very tasty, bit lack of chocolate flavors like any other comments mentioned. Service : 6 stars Best service we have for a long time dining in OC. The server truly takes care of his table, he is knowledgeable about the restaurant and the menu. He refilled water frequently and cleaned the table often. And he brought us on the house creme Brulee, that was really tasty. Every server in the restaurant carries very high standards, that's very admirable. Vibes: 4 stars If you can disregard the weird smells and no cellphone reception, this restaurant has a unique dark vibe and we had such a good time with great conversation. And I noticed all the other tables were also having really great conversations without the distraction of a cell phone. It was definitely a very special experience even though the food is not great. Overall, spending over $200 for very salty not so great food just makes it hard for us to come back. (...I'm not salty about it at all...) I would love to see this restaurant keep going for another 50 years, but with all these reviews mentioning overly salty food. Please gather the staff and try the food yourself. No matter how nice of ingredients or dish preparation, overly salty food kills all the flavors. Even if there is a nice vibe and great service in the restaurant, we are going for food at the end of the day.

Everything here was fantastic and thats putting it mildly. Truly an experience for foodies and the craft cocktails were each to die for and very unique. Order the soufflé before dinner comes so they have time to prepare it. I could tell the caramel sauce is made right then as well, still dreaming about it. Very romantic vibe inside with a small bar to the right and private booths to the left for dining.

Love the food and environment! Very classy and great service. Celebrated my husband's birthday last night. You need to try the steak and the tartar! I got the duck last night, and I chose the steak over the duck. Drinks: Get the pumpkin spice! I am a martini girl, but that whiskey drink is👌

I had a pleasant experience at The Cellar and recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a fancy dining experience. There's free parking in the adjacent lot. The great tasting food and service distracted me from the crowded and busy atmosphere though the decor was on point, noteworthy, and fitting. I tried the duck, venison, brussels sprouts, and mushrooms. The brussel sprouts were the best I ever had and if you must only get one thing, GET THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS even if you can't tolerate crusifurus plants. It's that good. The duck came with a tasty ravioli. I liked the Frostbite cocktail more than the Manhattan. Sadly, the creme brulee was lackluster and nothing special. I very much prefer creme brulee served in a thinner, wider ramekin. My fiance and I received a complimentary tiramisu because we were celebrating our anniversary.

My partner brought me here for our anniversary. It's a must try for special occasions. The food was amazing and atmosphere/ service is top notch. We ordered the lobster bisque soup, delicious, creamy, and fragrance full. We also ordered the 10 Oz cape Grimm filet mignon medium rare. The beef cut like butter and it tasted amazing! For dessert we got the sticky toffee pudding. It is a dessert recommended by our waiter and it did not disappoint. The taste of chocolate paired with the ice cream was well balanced and great flavors to top it off. Definitely recommend to make reservations and enjoy what the scenery and ambiance/ food has to offer.

The place was nice, the service was great. Unfortunately, the food was just ok. The souffle was a bit of a disappointment, over baked. The tastiest thing was the creme brulee. We also had the escargot, crab cake and bulliabaisse was lask luster. The drinks were interesting.

This is by far the most amazing place I have ever been. The food was amazing, the staff was stellar, and the venue was stunning. I tried so many dishes and didn't dislike a single one! Definitely worth checking out!

Great spot for a special romantic date like a birthday or an anniversary. Staff was attentive and courteous. The Steak Tartare was generous and delicious; definitely enough meat for 2-3 people. The Pork was perfectly tender and flavorful. The Venison was exceptional. The Martini was phenomenal. Ambience is charming and so unique. Felt upscale but cozy at the same time.

It was definitely a unique experience, I'll say that much. The staff was great, amazing service and the food was great. I recommended to not take kids there's no kids' menu, or if you have a baby, there's no ramp to go down the stairs or space, but anyway, it's a romantic place definitely great atmosphere for dates! I will for sure go back with my wife !

Our Go-To spot and since Covid-19 has moved them out onto the patio of Villa Del Sol it's even better, and seriously a BEAUTIFUL setting for a dinner out. Ask to be served by Marc -he's never let us down and always made sure the service is on par with the meal. As always, thanks Marc!

Perfect spot for a romantic dinner or fancier outing. Went there for my wife’s bday and it was great. Service was top notch with the friendly and informative waiter. We got the lobster bisque, asparagus, filet mignon, Mac and cheese, toffee bread pudding and crème buree (which was free with birthday). All were great but the toffee breading pudding was the best! Would definitely go again and the happy hour is decent there too.

We celebrated Valentine's Day one day early, and it was amazing. I made reservations a few days in advance and had to prepay for the four-course Valentine's dinner at this upscale location with ample parking. It offered a classy and romantic atmosphere. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated and presented with a prix fixe menu featuring excellent options. The food was delicious, and the overall intimate ambiance was fantastic. I highly recommend the filet mignon; it was perfectly cooked.

As always absolutely wonderful. My girlfriend and I pretty much started at the cellar, was our first serious date and have been going for birthdays and special occasions since. Not quite the same having to take it out and not enjoy the restraunt itself, but as you can see we made the best of it.

Service is pretty good, food is just ok for my taste, presentation is good, but I found the food too be a bit on the salty side. I wanted to try the chateaubriand but the server seemed to think that it was not a good choice since the chef makes it medium rare and I wanted medium ti medium well...I guess the chef would be offended if we adk for him to cook it for an extra minute or 2....anyway, I went with the filet...it was like I said, a bit salty and just ok...the new chicken fish is good, the risotto was bland...anyway, not sure this place is on top of my list of return visit.

I took my partner here for his birthday. This was our first time. The lobster bisque was delicious and a must! We did the filet mignon for two, and it was a lot and so good. We ended the meal with the souffle, and we were glad we did. The souffle was salted Carmel goodness. The service was amazing. They were knowledgeable and attentive. We already want to go back.

From someone who has had a lot of bone marrow, and I quote "The best bone marrow I've ever had.". I personally don't like it, but I did eat some and it was good. This place has such a beautiful ambiance. Service was absolutely excellent. Food was exquisite. It was worth every Penny. Look forward to returning the next time we visit Fullerton.

The Cellar never disappoints, from the fantastic entrees and outstanding cocktails to their delicious souffle. Our waiter James was spot on with his recommendations! A memorable experience every time. Thanks, Cellar! I look forward to enjoying your ambiance and dinners again.

Not my first time here and not my last. The actual restaurant has a unique feel, dining outside was a different experience. The service was good, not over the top exceptional, the food had some nice classic choices with a focus on the drink menu. Not something I care for so that was lost on me. The preparation for our meals was done well with one minor point. I hold all restaurants to the same criteria, if the protein cannot stand on its own, then it isn't prepared correctly. Both the venison and the pork, needed salt. The venison was almost perfect with that small lack, and the pork was very good when eaten with the sauce it came with. But neither could stand alone. The souffle was a wonderful end and worth the wait. Be sure to order this when you dine here.

First time eating at The Cellar Restaurant, and I’ve got to admit the lobster bisque had my heart — although it was cold. The place was difficult to find, but worth it and a great, moody, dark, and attractive vibe. The place was filled, including the bar area, good indication. Sure enough my meal, salmon with asparagus and broccoli was incredible. Loved the soufflé, order it early on in your meal though as it takes 25 mins to prepare.

A little hard to find, but phenomenal ambience, service and food. Give the bone marrow appetizer a try. Went with the filet mignon and a side of brussel sprouts. Nice portions and walked away comfortably full.

This is a truly extraordinary French restaurant! From the amazing sparse interior, to the kitchen staff, who you watch prepare your food from literally arm distance, to the formidable dishes, to their exquisite presentation, everything works together like a Beethoven symphony (the Pastoral). This restaurant is on par with the best ones I've been to in Paris. You must try it at least once in your lifetime!

How have I not written about this place here before? I'll keep it brief, the place is fantastic. I lived in Fullerton for 10 years, and this is definitely my top spot in all of OC for craft cocktails. The staff is always, at the very least, polite and professional, and at best super fun to be around. Food is great too! I haven't eaten off the full dining room menu in some time (I'm sure it's great), but can attest to everything on the bar menu.
