This restaurant is fantastic. Even though the interior is tiny, and the tables are packed together, the place seems to be cozy. The menu looks very nice, and there are a lot of options. The waiter was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Sticks are wrapped in custom paper, and they also have custom plates. Everything is brought momentarily, and the portions are manageable. The tea was great. Both soups were delicious. Teriyaki chicken was fabulous. Curry was pretty spicy, but it has to be, so we enjoyed it. A type of place where five stars are more than deserved. Without a doubt a to-go place in Fullerton.

I found this little gem 💎 today as my wife and I were out. Without a doubt, this place did not disappoint! I say this - do not let the external shell of the exterior of the establishment make you miss a true Japanese food experience. I have lived in Japan off and on for over 8 years and the taste and overall presentation of the food brought my mind back to my favorite times overseas. I highly recommend! I know I will be returning.

My first time having Ramen and I liked it. I don't have anything to compare it to because it was my first time. I thought it was good on a cold night. The appetizers were good too. Place is very small and kind of dirty. The service was not so good.

In brief: Delicious, fast, reasonably priced. Try the beef bowl if you haven't. Ate there again tonight. Delicious as always. I love their Chuka Soba ramen (may not match the picture but Chuka Soba is my favorite and number 1 recommendation). The broth is so savory and delicious. Also, I know it's a ramen place but try their excellent beef bowl as well (I love pickled ginger so the photo shows extra).

One of the best bowls of ramen in the area, their lunch special is the best deal ever and I leave with leftovers everytime! Their staff are so nice and attentive and always make sure you have tea or water in your glass. If any college students nearby are depressed or going through it, this bowl always picks up my mood a bit. Definitely a stop to make during finals or midterms for a breather.

Good ramen spot. Inside there's only a few tables. Got the spicy miso. I liked it. Decent portion. Also tried the gyoza and takoyaki and they were good. Plenty of parking in the shopping center lot.

This place was really good, I really liked it. The vegan ramen wasn’t the typical miso based ramen, but some sort of creamy broth that I need to figure the ingredients one day. Wide range of appetizer choices, clean place and simple atmosphere. Nothing to dislike !✌️

About a couple of weeks ago we were caught with this amazing ramen smell and we had to check it out we went on a Friday night we were amazed how fast their service is in the picture it's the spicy miso soup play with a mug combo with an appetizer included I highly recommend this place will come back soon A+++

I was very hungry after class and went to grab a decent lunch! The service is really quick and attentive. We got the kuro and cha ramen. I like miso so the cha ramen was really good. For sides we got the takoyaki, agedashi tofu, and a stirred beef limited menu! My personal favorite was the agedashi tofu! It was my first time try it and it was a mix of soft, chewy, and crunchy.

Really one of the best! It was my 3rd time here and it was even better than the other times. We've been traveling in Socal for the last month with family that's visiting, eating at all sorts of high end restaurants and Whats Up is easily the top of the best. Prices haven't been raised like most spots and the staff is all smiles and accommodating. You feel good after eating here, from the classic to the vegan! Evem the curry was amazing.

I'm a firm believer in the power of comfort food and What's Up, with its bustling yet homey atmosphere, captures the essence of this beautifully. My partner and I managed to snag a couple of seats at the bar. Despite the high energy and numerous patrons, the staff were nothing short of attentive and efficient. I settled on the Ramen and Spicy Tuna Bowl lunch combo, while my partner opted for the Spicy Ramen and Gyoza lunch combo. The real standout was, without a doubt, the Spicy Tuna Bowl and the gyoza. With a generous lunch portion that justified its cost, this was a dish that balanced flavors with finesse. The tuna was tender, with the spice adding a kick that elevated it from good to great. I'd be remiss if I didn't take a moment to appreciate the Gyoza. The skin had the ideal bite – a gratifying slight resistance that gave way to the luscious filling inside. As for the filling itself, it was flavor-packed and had a beautiful texture that made each bite an exciting experience. On the other hand, the Ramen, particularly the Tonkotsu Shoyu I ordered, was pleasant but the broth, though well-prepared, left me yearning for a richer flavor that never quite came. My partner's Spicy Ramen and the Gyoza, however, carried their own with distinctive flavors and textures. In spite of my critique, our overall experience was a delightful one. The food, ambience, and service coalesced into an afternoon well spent. Would I return? Absolutely. Maybe next time the Ramen will rise up to the star power of the Spicy Tuna Bowl and Gyoza.

Decent for Fullerton. 22.00 for soup and 6 gyoza. Was shareable. Ramen Izakaya in North Hollywood has been the best broth so far in So Cal.

I come here every time I'm working in LA. Service is extremely fast and the Ramen is extremely good. Small joint but the quality is definitely there.

My favorite place to eat Ramen, but more likely to eat Chashu Rice Bowl. The marinated pork slices are thin compare to other ramen places, but enough amount. The portion was fulfilling. It's a perfect balance to eat one scoop of rice with half of the slices. Amazing! Also, their staffs are always friendly!

Great experience! It waa a full house, but the wait wasnt too bad. The host was friendly and chill. Im normally not crazy about ramen, but i really enjoyed the ramen here. After trying 3 other places prior, this one hit the spot. I walked out satisfied and wasnt feeling too heavy afterwards.

Everything about this place was good. I tried the Aka ramen, takoyaki, and nut & Kim. The ramen was the right blend of flavor and spice and the perfect serving of noodles and toppings. The choshu pork was great! The takoyaki was delicious and worth trying out! The nuts & Kim was the perfect combo of kimchi and pork. Try it!
