Food is good. Not wow. And it doesn't justify the prices. The portion are too small for someone really hungry.

The New Beirut Cellar, exceeded our expectation. The decoration is lush, the service is outstanding, service is fast, and the food is very good and well presented. The downs: The place starts to smell when overcrowded, as there are no windows inside, and bad aeration. The menu is way overpriced, it should be 33 to 50% cheaper, compared to the top restaurants and competitors in country in deep crisis. (A starter of makanek is 18$, nachos and cheese are 18$! 15$+ for a salad, 20$ for a simple burger… crazy prices.). The food is good, but not worth the price. The burger was good, but lacked of spices and character. The fries are frozen, not home made. The green salad is not attractive, and its sauce lacks of taste. The veal escalope is amazing, the sweet chili calamari is amazing, the nachos are ace! Will try more next time. As the place is new and buzzing, it is always packed, i am scared that because of their ridiculous prices, when the buzz wears off, people will be coming less and less. Even rich people can smell when a restaurant is overpriced.

This is an old renowned restaurant in Beirut and it has recently been refurbished. The food is delicious and of excellent quality. The menu is varied and their meat exceptional. The restaurant is also ideal for a romantic dinner. great food great service! must try. Porcini ravioli amazing! Everything we ordered from the kale salad to the ravioli sea Bass and steak, all had great flavour and cooked to perfection! Definitely a great experience

Shame on such an owner and staff. If your kitchen closes at three just mention in Google and if I arrive at 245 then you are supposed to welcome me and no need to be rude. The waiter controls the weak owner. For ducks sake my parents used to go there long time ago. Your esteemed rest states clearly on Google that you close 3.30. Very rude

Great restaurant with amazing service and a good wine list. There's a little bit of everything on the menu, and it's all surprisingly very tasty, every time. My favorites are the stuffed gnocchi pesto and the Milanaise veal. In season, they'll make you an amazing risotto marinara with vongole and other frutti di mare, you just have to ask.

Yesterday we decide to try this authentic old restaurant in ashrafieh. We went for a dinner we had roquefort salad was amazing with nice after taste, gnocchi a la pesto was average, escalope was delicious too. The service was amazing and super professional. Very cozy and beautiful ambiance in this restaurant. A little bit expensive but comparing of the experience its nice.

Went after the place reopened. Restaurant design and concept is nice, food portions are small and expensive. Nothing out of the ordinary. For 50 dollars per person without alcohol it is overpriced. But the main problem is the staff, unfriendly and not welcoming I felt they were doing me a favor the whole time. They don’t check on you and you feel they are forced to work. Waiter with the thick beard was unbelievably not pleasant, maître d’hôtel or “host” as well I didn’t feel welcomed. Won’t be back soon
