A nice little park nestled behind a neighborhood. There is a lake and a great play area for kids. A basketball court as well as baseball diamond. Great place for a jog or bringing little ones.

This is a nice neighborhood park that is actually a lot bigger than I expected. It feels like a metro park. Very scenic along Big Walnut Creek with baseball fields, a basketball court, a large pond to fish, shelter house, playground, restrooms and plenty of parking.

Wonderful little park that's peaceful and quaint. This a great place to spend time with family. Even has two grills by the gazebo.

A nice park with lots of options. There are two playgrounds, one with modern play equipment and the other a natural playground. There is also a pond for fishing and a creek entrance that is perfect for toddlers to get a little water play.

This park is a hidden gem. I went birding several times this spring but the wild flowers kept distracting me from the birds. It is clean, well maintained, and abundant with wildlife and beautiful woodland habitat. The bluebells were sensational. It has a paved path used by hikers, walkers, and bicyclists as well as bird watchers. The moist bottomland habitat along Big Walnut Creek has a diverse mix of wildflowers and wetland vegetation such as toad shade, dutchman's breeches, buttercups, and many more. It's regularly used but I haven't found it to be overcrowded. It also has a nice playground if you have kids as well as a pond where several people were fishing.

We have only ever come in the mornings, and it is never busy. It is beautiful and relaxing. It seems real fun for the kiddo as he likes to climb and run around. We also enjoy going to the creek as well. We haven't done the paths yet. Plenty of areas of shade and seating. Bathroom facilities are present as well. The whole place is kept up and clean.

Beautiful park. Walk, run, hike or bike along the shores of the Big Walnut. This park is ticked in a neighborhood, so please go slow and watch out for children.

Natural play area is top notch. Suitable for ages 1 - 12 older people will enjoy but won’t admit it. This park is located in a neighborhood which helps it to feel safer. There are two covers areas. A walking trail is available as well. There are two water areas. The large pound is catch and release. The other natural water way is great for finding shells, tiny water creatures and dipping toes. Beautiful serene little jewel of a park.

Wonderful park! This connects to Academy Park with a long paved walking path. There is a small parking lot. It has a natural park as well as a playground. There is a basketball court, bathrooms, 2 baseball diamonds, open field for soccer, a catch and release pond, and a creek to wade and explore in.

This is a really nice park. It is under construction but the pond area and shelter we attended was very nice. This is a great place for family and friends to gather, enjoy nature, and share great times with one another.

It seems like a little old park but it is neat and a good place to take your children as well. Definitely will return here.

Please enjoy yourself at Such a Wonderful park to take a date, friend, dogs or just an enjoyable stroll to enjoy the seasons. The ducks, chipmunks and squirls make it even better while walking around looking at the colors and saying hello to passers by. Good day/night to you all!

Nice quiet park. Two playgrounds available...one "natural". Shelter and restrooms available. And a nice pond.

This park was a great find. Always looking for new parks and this one came up on Google maps. It has a great play area for the kids with nets, climbing ropes, large tree trunks laid out, play houses and a large buried concrete drain tube for the kids to run in. They also put in a new play area with jungle gym type climbing, but no one ever plays on it cause it is really poorly designed, but it looks cool. Many fields for baseball, soccer, and basketball. It has bathrooms and a covered picnic area. The best part for our family is walking through and along the creek with primitive trails. It has a more defined trail alongside the creek as well and it winds all around the whole park and connects to Academy Park for long walks or runs. There is catch and release fishing there too and we always see folks catching fish. It is tucked in the back of a neighborhood and is a bit hidden if you don’t know it’s there. There is a very large cardinal sculpture that just makes it a cool place to go and see. You can stop in for a quick stop for a picnic lunch or explore for a few hours. Love this park!

πŸ‘ Great dog park. A lot of open space for them in a fenced in area. Not a big park and not much room for anything else other than a basketball court, some playground equipment and a shelter house. Big Walnut Creek runs alongside the road that goes to the back of the park. I guess that road is what's us...
