Beautifully restored Art deco style hotel in the heart of Galle Fort with easy access to all attractions in Galle. The hotel is also a destination itself as it is one of the few art deco buildings from the British colonial period. Their restaurant "Charlie's bar & bistro has an air-conditioned indoor seating and rich looking interior and a terrace overlooking the rampart and indian ocean. Perfect place to watch sunset while sipping a signature cocktail of them. Employees are very charming and helpful. Had a very nice comfortable stay at The Charleston. Highly recommended.

We couldn't fault this hotel. Amazing service, absolutely pristine rooms and really good food! The breakfast menu is to die for, with a wide range of options that change each day. Our room was kept perfectly clean and during the turn-down service, the staff left a little box with a piece of fudge in and a fun fact about the hotel / Sri Lanka. This also changed daily, so the attention to detail here is second to none! If you're in Galle looking for the best hotel in the centre of the Fort, or just want to watch the sunset with a cocktail - this is the place to go.

We had the most delicious food in this beautiful boutique hotel. A party of seven with one celiac and one vegan in the group with a great selection of food options. We sat inside the cool bar for drinks and the veranda for dinner. Fabulous cocktails, particularly the lemongrass gin! The hotel is beautiful and the service was very good, friendly and helpful staff.

What a wonderful hotel! Fabulous design meets form - super comfortable rooms, a great location and wonderful attention to detail. The in house restaurant is a bonus, not only for sunset drinks, but also for a lovely breakfast with really good coffee. Above all, the staff here are fantastic - warm, professional and helpful. Highly recommended

Had an amazing time at the Charleston with the guys - I highly recommend staying there if visit Galle Fort on your trip to Sri Lanka! We had what was probably one of the nicest sunset cocktail evenings on the rooftop bar - can't even say what was better, the cocktails or the view ;) We also loved the rooms; super comfy beds and really nicely designed. Really cool what they did with this merchant villa from the 20ies! Plus the staff was super friendly, which made our experience even better.
