We recently enjoyed a family dinner at this cafe and loved the cozy vibe, enhanced by the music. I highly recommend their "Spicy Red Pepper Chicken Pizza." However, the Carbonara Spaghetti I ordered wasn't spicy, which didn't suit my taste. The only negative aspect I'd mention is that the sofa didn't seem to have been cleaned recently. A clean and fresh-smelling sofa would have made the experience more pleasant. Overall, it was a pleasant experience that I would recommend.

Pluses Love the curry rice and their seafood treats. Flavors were well balanced and very out there! We also ordered the jumbo prawns and they were grilled to perfection with none of that sauce nonsense. The sauce was served on the side which was also delicious. Minuses - Seating is a bit cramped when that courtyard can be beautiful and peaceful. Gets super crowded and hence noisy. No cocktails are served here.

The ambiance is charming with its antique vibe and the staff is incredibly friendly. Quick service. I can confidently say that their food is top-notch! The beef burger I tried was exceptional, featuring one of the best beef patties I've had in Sri Lanka. Highly recommend it. Also they served a delectable jackfruit curry with their rice and curry dish which was superb. The prawn curry was equally amazing. Good portions sizes. You should go!

I'll start off with saying that the menu is quite limited. The environment is okay nothing special to write about. The burgers were the highlight. Both the chicken burger and the beef break burger were absolutely well presented and super consistent. The brownie was okay and so was the cappuccino. The passion and mint juice was an absolute disaster and I'd suggest avoiding that. It looked like an herbal porridge and tasted even worse. Service is okay not the most attentive bunch. Overall positive vibe. Recommended.

Pretty expensive (even by Colombo standards) but the portions are quite large and very good. The whole restaurant is set up in an old house and does feel slightly cramped, but not unclean. Maybe it was because it was the weekend, but we ordered only burgers and pizza, but had to wait over an hour to get our food.

Had breakfast, delicious!! Highly recommend. Best pancakes we’ve had in Sri Lanka after 7 weeks. Homemade bread and perfectly done eggs. Gorgeous fish curry. We ordered full fresh fish, it was cooked very tasty without any ketchup and tomatoes in a lime-coconut sauce. Served with fried rice and a very tasty salad without pineapple, but with watermelon and olives! The only negative for us is no beer!

Great experience.. Restaurant with old wooden theme, place is very clean. Air conditioned halls are available. Food is great with a wonderful taste, beef and steak plates are available which is not common in Sri Lanka. Prices are relatively high compared to other restaurants however it is considered when compared to quality of food. Portions as well are quite enough and good. Highly recommended to visit. Good luck

Came here for lunch twice while we were in Galle. Excellent ambience and even better food. Prices were very reasonable compared to other places nearby and portions are quite large so you're never left wanting.

We had a lunch here during the stop in Galle and it was absolutely delicious! Curry with jumbo prawns was amazing as was the fried rice with seafood. We sat in nice backyard in the shadow. Very much recommended!

Actually this place is really nice and you won’t believe it has this much space until you walk in. There customer care is reasonably good. Price of the food is reasonable with respect to the taste, nice atmosphere and the location. They have a good variety of food and beverages. Only negative point is the lack of parking availability. The best thing is to park your vehicle around the Dutch Hospital and walk through the wonderful streets. For me the best time to try this is around 5 - 7 PM

Cute little restaurant within Galle. I liked the food (they have international and local) and the place is nice. They had an old car displayed in front of the restaurant that is good for some pictures. The seating is nice to watch people and tourists roam the old streets of the town

Amazing seafood and great service. The fresh seafood menu is slightly confusing as it doesn't list a price per piece but per 100 grams. We tried the fish, shrimp and lobster at the restaurant and each dish was perfectly prepared. I wish we could try crabs as well as the restaurant was out of crab 😔

Food was nicely presented, but the beef burger had a weird taste and texture. Took 30 minutes to get my drink, however a table of 4 who ordered their drinks 20 mins after I did got their drinks before I did, also considering the place was almost empty the service was not great. Much more expensive than other restaurants in the area and not as tasty.

Visited this place after years and had quite low expectations since we didn’t have a great experience before. The cafe seating is very crowded and close together, and without AC the inside gets quite warm and stuffy. We opted for outside seating. The prices are on the higher side. We ordered the Beef Brake burger and it absolutely blew us away! The generous meat patties (2x) were perfectly seasoned and cooked, the whole burger was just a party in my mouth. Cannot even be compared to the burgers from the popular Burger joint in Colombo! It came with a generous portion of fries as well. I would say it was worth the price, around 2k if I remember correctly. The only downside was that we were served charcoal burgers which was unexpected and not detailed in the menu. It tasted the same as a normal burger though.

Pedlar's Inn. Who wouldn't want to visit here after a long drive from Colombo to Galle Fort? A lovely rustic place with faded out paint, leafy ceilings, and fairy lights amongst them, we were seated in a cozy corner and we had a door as a table. Yes, the table was shaped in the form of a door, or was it an actual door?!? Anyway, coming to the food.. it was a late lunch so we missed out on the authentic Sri Lankan lunch with brown rice and the works. Had to settle with spicy chicken and spicy prawns which were both served with french fries and a garden salad, although we had the option of replacing the fries with rice. Today was a pretty hot day, so we thought of cooling ourselves down with a lime soda, passion with Sprite, a vanilla milkshake, and a very green avocado juice. The staff were pretty busy since it was a long weekend, but the food arrived in around 15 mins of ordering. The food, however, was not special enough to write home about, but it was more than adequate to satisfy the hunger pangs of the traveller.

Cozy place. Tried coffee and fruit juices and they were excellent.

The place is nice and all. Specially for couples and groups. But I went there recently and while I was sitting on the couch I got bitten by some kind of bed bugs/mites. You need to look out for that. The vintage style is not an excuse to not clean the place. Please use some pesticide and get rid of the bugs for the sake of your customers. Also it might be a good idea to not let people take their feet onto the couch. It was very dirty. Coffee and the staff were good.

Best place in South province to eat an Angus beef steak! If you are hungry of meet, this is the place to go! I'm so sorry I didn't even take a photo of that dish, but I couldn't believe it! But I get back another day, and tried the special dish of the day with king prawns and garlic cream... was absolutely amazing also! This was a gem which we found by accident in the Galle fort. The cafe is set up in what looks like an old house. You can find a live lobster in a murky tank. And lots and lots of antiques. The staff are friendly. The food is 10/10. Mostly sea food. Food tasted a lot like the kind that you find at the Manhattan Fish Market. A bit expensive. One dish is around LKR 1500-2000. You have to make a reservation or you might end up outside, waiting. The place can get busy. But it was worth it.

Since we in Sri Lanka have eaten the worst pizza here! We asked for a bottle of water brought out 2 glasses of hot water 😂 we did not understand but such occurs no problem. But the pizza is expensive and bad, the dough is tasteless and small, the meat is chewy and had a hair in it! The place is cozy and attractive, the toilet is clean. We ate much more delicious pizzas elsewhere, if I have to recommend!

Don't go here if you are hungry, a simple curry takes apparently 1 hour to cook and it's not even better than any other curry. The service guys are kind of sleepy and don't ask you if you need sth or how you like your food. People come here for drinks most of the time and I understand why.
